Halo 5 co-op split screen is a must. I have family who I play the campaigns with at home. If this cannot happen…arrrrahhhh… I don’t wanna watch my family member play without me when I want to join in and they let me. Can’t we laugh while playing in the same room. Why 343? If it is a matter of frames per second, I’d rather be able to play with family than 60 frames per second. I know you can create an if then statement or while loop or something that gives single player campaign 60 frames per second and 30 frames per second for split screen-co-op. You make both frames per second party and split screen-co-op members happy that way. If you’ve got controls for NPCs to move or something, put an if player one, player one controls team. This is sad and can be rectified through programming…I can’t say it any better than news/blogs/posts that are news sites or part of the sites.
Halo split screen is a staple in the halo games.

Multiplayer will still have 2 players, but campaign will not. Sorry
Have a 60fps frame rate in single screen, then have 30fps when split screen is enabled.
And get 4 player split screen back. It can’t be that bloody hard.
my only concern is custom games. does that support 4 player split screen? we do LAN parties and I don’t want to bring 4 tvs instead of 2 just to play 8p
I need my split-screen man. I play 4 player split-screen all the time.
Please sign this petition to add split-screen co-op to Halo 5. We need as much supporters as possible to make it happen:

Please give us split screen. split it into 15fps per screen if need be. I really liked the multiplayer beta and this would make this game great

This is not how it works. If 343 were to lower the frames this will dramatically affect the gameplay and up the glitches. Especially considering the game is built on 60fps, it will probably crash not only the game but the whole console in an attempt to do this. The only possible way to add splitscreen into the game would probably be turning off all aesthetic ambiance and tuning down the textures, which not only will make the game x10 harder to play but be harder than you think to implement.
Split screen has absolutely no effect on me. I don’t even have a second controller for my Xbox One. But from the amount of people that want split screen, and because Halo has always had it, you can know that leaving it out must have been almost if not completely necessary, and not just some choice like “eh… we don’t want them to be able to play.” I’m sure they’d love to have it if they could. They did put it in the MCC after all.
This is so frustrating, I cant believe they are getting rid of split-screen. That was one of my fav feature. The reason I started playing Halo was because my friend introduced me to it through split screen, and now that it is gone I can never have fun playing Halo again with friends. Cod is going to have local split screen why cant Halo.

If that is really the reason then that was really ****ing stupid. I’m sorry but I’m just too angry right now. This is such a gross oversight. 343 are experts in their field. How could they have committed this stupid mistake? How could they have forgotten 4-player splitscreen during the entire time they were developing this game? Or worse, how could they have just assumed no one in this fan base would miss it if that was the reason?
Now, I don’t care how long it takes. I don’t care how it’s done. 343, please add this! If this 33 strong page thread (and still growing) isn’t any indication of how strongly people feel about this then I don’t know what the **** is.

Yes I think this thread is a clear justification that there is a large portion of the community which wants split screen. Lets keep this thread going hopefully 343 sees this and adds split screen back.
Me and my fiancee have spent 600 hours each playing all the campaigns splitscreen, its one of our greatest things in common… chilling playing halo splitscreen. This is a terrible decision to not include it.

This pretty stupid. Not having 4 player split screen was one thing, but not having any sort campaign split screen is not acceptable. I will wait till e3 for more news. Not very happy right now.
What if it isn’t possible on a technical level? Do people seriously think 343i “forgot” about splitscreen? As someone as already said, 343i are the experts and perhaps the way the game has been built it just isn’t possible. As for this thread showing the majority of the community wants splitscreen, that’s hardly the case since this entire forum doesn’t represent the majority of the community. As one reviewer pointed out, 343i will almost certainly have stats on how many people use splitscreen

if what your saying is true, 343i have to somehow explain why such a big part of halo is now history… theyve got to at least give us reasons and proove why it isnt possible to be implemented on Halo 5…
As i twitted
They’re making vanish my plans into thin air, of re-feeding the hype (or at leat bring them to a joypad playing halo ) of my old friends , with whom i started on Halo ce (T.T)

I suspect the explanation will come during the interviews at E3

And that’s why I am waiting for E3. Just would be better if they announced the reason for no splitscreen right way.
