> Am I the only one who does not give a single crap about how many frames per second a game has? I would much, much, much rather have split screen co-op than 60fps gameplay. Almost every game I’ve played my entire life as a console gamer has been 30fps and I sincerely do not care if it’s ever higher than that. Why would it need to be when 30fps games play just fine? Halo was 30fps before and it was great. I don’t want my experience with Halo 5 ruined because of buzzwords. Split-screen is a really vital feature that I’ve been using in Halo games consistently for the last 14 years. It’s in Halo’s DNA and the game loses part of it’s identity if you don’t include it.
there are many factors to why 60FPS is important to them, but from the fans perspective, the reason of it is, “be better then the other console in specs” or “PC master race, console suck!!”

60 FPS is indeed a really really nice touch.
But its also not really necessary.
In a solo experience, I want 60FPS. It really subtly adds a lot to the quality, just look at the MCC (when the frames don’t drop…)
Split Screen though? Come on… my focus is not immersion and such in that aspect. Its having fun with my buddies…
60 FPS is certainly not necessary at this part.

Petitions are not allowed.
Sign me up for this, the removal of 4 player couch is a huge blow. I simply can not justify spending $60 if I cant play with my friends.

Part of me feels like not getting it, but ultimately that can’t happen because, well, the story.
But I suppose I can easily trade it in after I’m done. Afterall, there’s little use the multiplayer has for me long term without much local support.
Seriously, this makes me feel all kinds of ticked off.
… meh.
No 4pss in multiplayer and now no 2pss in campaign is just salt in a wound. That is literally the only way I play campaign mode. I am really not liking the direction Halo 5 is headed.
While disappointed, I will still be picking it up.
Somebody posted this on neogaf - it was the best response I’ve read.
“The only reason my mother gave birth to my brother was so we could play splitscreen campaign co-op and now he’s been put up for adoption. Thanks a lot 343 you’ve caused a family to be ripped apart!”
Here’s the math folks. 4 player split screen on Xbox One with a regular Xbox Gold 12 month membership, and a simple Halo 5 Guardians game is $590. Same scenario, but without Split Screen. $1460. Do you have an extra $900 to drop like that? I know I sure don’t.

Like vast majority of us. However logevity is shrinking drastically (as everytime our woman/kid/brother wants to play with us, we’ll be forced to play another game), and that means we’ll just not spend as much time with Halo 5 as we would (and wish).

I’m italian like you and i work for the biggest italian community, The 17K Guardians. The italian community will support this cause, give us back the split-screen!

Very nice post, effectively compressing much of what’s been agreed here into one awesome tweet.
Good to have you guys on our side,
I hope this gains momentum, I would be happy if they gave us 2 player split for everything, but, 4 player is what Halo was, so, umm… Raaa!!! Split screen!
sadly, I do not have any social media accounts…

$350*2 = $700 (Xbox Ones)
$120 (Two more controllers)
$120 (Two 12-month Xbox Live Subscriptions) or $20 (Two 1-month Xbox Live Subscriptions)
$120 (Two Halo 5 games)
= $960-$1060.
Not sure where the extra $400 is coming from, however, its still certainly quite a hefty fee just to play with two more friends.
Not worth it whatsoever.

while it may not be their intent, it does feel kind of greedy when you think about it.
There probably isn’t gonna be any splitscreen at all.
Pirlo is not impressed! Nor am I. 343 is accustomed to removing features instead of adding (aka theater mode). Good job 343, you may remove multiplayer as well!
I’m still stoked for Halo 5, but that one line in GI put a bit of water on the fire. Without split screen co-op my girlfriend and a couple friends will never play this game.

I have played Halo 90% in split-screen so… x3 This feature is very important for me!

Same! We have people who are going to miss out on the epic story and its a shame.
Then comes that we can’t do Halo night anymore. It’s quite maddening.
… guess I’ll have to be forced to stick with the MCC for that, but ugh.
During the Beta, I was REALLY excited to play the game with friends :\
