The Official Splitscreen Thread

> I’m more disappointed with the lack of co-op splitscreen than reduced multiplayer, but both bother me.
> My oldest son and I had a “coming of age” where we went through all of the Halo campaigns co-op. It’s very sad to think we won’t be able to do this again, or work on campaign achievements together (something we are still doing in Halo MCC).
> Occasionally, I and my two oldest boys will play Halo multiplayer. Even more occasionally, my younger boys will get involved (in local custom games, not online).
> It’s a bitter disappointment that what has become a family affair will be so limited with the next installment.

Another reason Why split screen should continue to be supported. This game this storyline is better than the call of duty garbage that already exists.

So instead of answering our own question they answered a small little detail that people were happy about and now killed, this making the trade off nothing. I’m so pissed that I can’t even play with my family and friends in my home anymore…

“It’s okay everyone! You don’t have to worry about not having to pay for co-op! I know that free online pay was a truly terrifying concept, and we apologize for scaring you all like that.”

They really -Yoinked!- up with that taking away of the silver for co-op. The only save they have now is to show us, at E3, that the campaign is so unbelievably amazing that it warrants not having co-op splitscreen

You got that right. Anything less then coop split screen in halo will be a smack in the face.

I am trying to figure out how this ties into split screen? I don’t want to sound rude, I feel that 343 is just ignoring everyone but the competitive community, like, this is there way of making it up to the competitive crowd, by removing the casual crowd altogether. While I would not fully blame 343 has they are in a tight spot, constantly getting bashed, receiving death threats. But that does not mean they have to just close the door to semi-competitive players and casuals. First customization is downgraded, split screen is basically nonexistent, and it all comes back to one thing, Graphics. That seems to be the big thing with games these days, graphics. I admit, Halo 5 is pretty, but that does not mean you have to remove things because something may not look as good from far or because you don’t want the armor piece models nicking each other.

I live in a house where I share an Xbox with my brother, most times, we play Custom Games with our friends, some are alone, but are best friends are also in the same boat, they are brothers, they share and Xbox. They are expecting us to go out and by another $350 console and another $60 game, just so we can do, what we have done on the last-gen console. Those of us who don’t want to go out and buy another console, we are just extras, people who don’t have the determination to go out and buy another so that we can play with our siblings who are in the same room as us.

To many this may seem like a good thing, removing split screen, to others, it is sad, they will miss the memories and move on, but, what about those who can’t move on? Those who have family that share it with them? Do we just leave them in the dust, forget them? Forget me? I was looking forward to Halo 5 a lot, it would be the second Halo game that I would get around the time it came out, the first being the MCC. While I was eager to learn more about the game, Similar to EAs Battlefornt, not all of that info was positive. The more info I read, the more worried I became. I bet everyone has been in that situation before. Split screen isn’t a want for me, it is a need, because if my brother want to play to, what then? do we have to takes turns, like it is some arcade machine? A console that begs you to buy 4 controllers. Super Smash Bros. on Wii U can have up to 8 players at once locally. Xbox Ones Halo 5 can have 2, how come Wii U is doing so bad then? Sure it goes by taste, but listen again, Wii U, a next-gen console can have up to 8 players locally, Xbox can have 2. yes this only pointing at Halo 5 as the MCC does have 4 player.

But as I said earlier, how come we can’t do something that was done on last-gen?

Splitscreen is a must need for me too.I have a twin brother and only one xbox one.I am definitely not buying a console for 399€ again,so it seems like I will stay with the MCC and it’s terrible splitscreen…

The game has sprint. They are most certainly not catering to the competitive/MLG crowd.

It sucks how I won’t be able to play with my friends at parties or go through a campaign with my little brother anymore…

ya, here’s the game informer link: GI linkNot that I care about this near as much as the real issue of no 4player split screen multiplayer and 2 player local co-op, but still, what a joke…

Well, I’ve been doing it, of course. We had some participants a few hours ago, but for the last hour, it’s been just me. I feel so lonely. Well, it’s possible that people have been doing it, but I can’t find them because they aren’t using #Halo5SplitScreen.
