I’m sure that’s another way of saying, “of course Locust, I’ll help you out!”
#Halo5Splitscreen.

> If you’re wondering why there’s yet another split screen thread, the answer is simple: this thread managed to gain attention and flourish, but the OP wasn’t constructive and the author managed to get banned. Banned members cannot edit posts, after all. Stuck with a thread that refers to gamers as “30 year old virgins,” I decided that it was time to take matters into my own hands and start a new thread that will hopefully be more welcoming. This new thread will also allow me to include helpful information in the OP to coordinate the pro-splitscreen movement.
just like to say i thought your thread is both constructive and oozing with truth.
it would be a shame if 343i didn’t put in split screen…
Oh god when i heard that i was like: WAT?? Just played odst on MCC with a friend in co-op split-screen 2 days ago. Jeez the FUN!!
Obviously the tweet of Josh is old but he don’t gave us an answer about campaign. He gave us an answer in general. Split-screen is real in H5 but where precisely it is still a mystery. So finger crossed!
P.S.: I don’t care about 4 player local (that’s very confusing) but at least give me 2 player in local for campaign 343. Please!

No its not that… will speak later
BTW Locust, what’s the exact deal we are talking about? Cos like I said in your HaloArchive thread, I am a definite no-go for four-player splitscreen coop like some crazy fools here seem to want.
Coming from someone who personally was quite upset when Bungie revealed no split-screen for Destiny (which is far more reasonable, all things considered now) everyone I know plays split-screen co-op over single player just because Halo is so built around Couch-Coop so much that I’ve personally spent more time in 4 player forge and custom sessions in Reach and 3 than actually playing the multiplayer, even if its a minority there are still a lot of silver and non online players out there who really love this core feature. In this particular case, I swear to god I am not going to be happy with 8 people in a dorm are forced to play with only 2 controllers at a time for pvp or just me alone for “coop”.

I feel that 4 player split screen is needed for Halo, but not as much as 2 player split screen. If 343i would just reinstitue 2 player split screen, I think I could buy Halo 5 and feel no remorse.
And your welcome, we try.
last time I played 4 player split screen was halo 2. Haven’t since then.

4 players for customs only as usual, but I still have flashbacks to how the 360 hardware struggled with the load for Halo 4.

You must be single and without boy of your own. Or married and she doesn’t play and you have no kids of your own. Sorry. Not trying to be mean…
Holmes tweeted that there will be 2 player split screen.

People have become more reclusive in recent times. Not sure if it bodes well…
Well done 343i, you’ve managed to dissapoint halo fans yet again and now i am off to buy a PS4.

Assuming Reach demographic stats are still reliable, including with the rise in more people buying the game. Roughly 40+% of the population playing are students, I’d bet a tone use split-screen for coop and multiplayer (online and off) due to living with up to 12 other people for 3+ years. For a game that makes as much as Halo does that’s a huge audience using that feature quite regularly.
