Well, it did just occur to me that I will have Windows 10 on my computer … so I can still do a local co-op where one of us gets the TV and the other gets the laptop on the coffee table. lol. Better than nothing, I suppose.

That is if windows doesn’t stream the entire screen to one device.

What do you mean? Wouldn’t it work kinda like a system link where one person plays on the PC and the other on XB1?

Pretty sure (sadly) that we wont be able to do it… The Xbox It’s the one running the game on his own, and since the problem It’s that the One can’t run both screens at the same time, we can’t fix that.

Oh … then what’s the point of streaming the game on PC? Is it so someone can play a game on the PC while someone is watching Netflix on the Xbox or something?
I am starting to get worried, a lot, I get it, most people don’t seem to have siblings who play with them in the same house hold, but what about those who do? I still live in a house with siblings and my brother and I share an Xbox One, yes we are the same age, So what? Do I have to by another Xbox? I hope the windows 10 thing is not some bluff, if we really can play xbox games on it, it will save us. But how does it work? can you have someone play the Xbox and another on the PC? can you buy 2 copies of the game and just use the windows 10 as our “Xbox”?

wait? WHAT!! Noooo!! oh geezzzz, oh this is bad… oh god… (I don’t care If I look like I am over reacting, this truly is a big problem, last time I got like this, people said I was cheap for not just buying another Xbox.)

It’s so we don’t have multiple threads saying the exact same thing, I had to search a bit to find this thread after posting my own.

It’s ridiculous to buy another Xbox.
I guess we just need to wait for more info on both the Windows 10 streaming and the local split screen. There’s a tweet from Josh Holmes from last winter that said H5 would support local split screen. Then there’s this Game Informer magazine. I wouldn’t get too worked up until you hear it from 343 themselves, but I also wouldn’t get your hopes up.

As far as I know yes, I’m not even sure you can use netflix and play at the same time. I think that the main idea behind this Is for people that share a TV so the parents or anyone can watch It and you don’t have to move the Xbox or get another TV. Or maybe I’m wrong and the PC will compute part of the work and help relieve the Xbox, but I highly doubt It.

Oh, please Microsoft, please make it so that windows 10 can play xbox games independently of the console!! Some how!!! PLEASE!!
This isn’t even a, " I had so many good memories" type thing, this is a, “I need this because I share a console with my brother”.

Straight from official sources (Josh Holmes tweets and the Game Informer July 2015 issue):
Halo 5 will have 2-player split-screen max - FOR MULTIPLAYER ONLY. There will be NO split-screen co-op campaign at all.
Damn you, 343. You give us all this cool new fancy sh*t that’s going to be awesome, but you take away the core of Halo by having the crappiest, most inexcusable split-screen support of any Halo shooter to-date… on a “next gen” platform. Shame on you. The damage you are doing is much more than you care to realize.
Thanks for taking away what makes Halo, Halo.
I just found out that my girlfriend and I will not be able to play split screen campaign. This fact alone is making me seriously consider not buying Halo 5.

Yeah, you and I are on the same boat. We will still play It, but when I think that we did beat every campaign together, and since the first day we ruled the multiplayer together… I will miss It so bad.
Coop splitscreen should have been a given. I can’t think of one reason why they shouldn’t include it.
Those thinking Windows 10 will allow the xbox to process to two screens will be quite disappointed. The xbox to Windows 10 feature is a Screencast over WiFi more than anything else.
Meaning the xbox will basically be using one screen, we just have more options as to what that screen is.
As far as getting rid of splitscreen campaign I couldn’t care less.
As to why they did it, probably % of user base that uses the featured compared to campaign aspirations. The aspirations for campaign were larger than the user pool that plays split screen so that’s probably why it’s gone.
I feel like splitscreen co-op should be added in, even if there is the sacrifice of frame rate and graphics…It’s better than nothing.
ive a feeling this will end like the custom games thread
you have 100% my support!
343 we like playing with the people sitting next to us!
Yes! This is so true. If they don’t add split screen, I won’t buy halo 5. It will completely ruin Halo for me. 2 player Co-Op split screen and 4 player competitive split-screen is what made halo halo for me! And plenty of other people. Seriously if they don’t add split screen I will lose all faith in 343. I even liked halo 4 because they included it. It’s what makes me keep coming back. You know, just sitting down and relaxing with my friends playing 4-3 player split screen. Now that’s halo!
