It is also important to note that one of the reasons why splitscreen has been in decline since Halo 3 is because Halo 3 was the last Halo game that didn’t run like -Yoink- on splitscreen. Food for thought.

You’re 100% right. Of course splitscreen for Halo 4 was less used – it was laggy as hell!
343i is using circular reasoning.
- Implement poor splitscreen support in Halo 4
- “Determine” that less people are using splitscreen because of their poor implementation
- Choose not to include acceptable splitscreen support in Halo 5 because of reason #2, which is because of reason #1, which is because of bad engineering.
I think that too!
Painfully ironic, if you ask me
Guys, let’s have another round of split screen tweets. Make your voice heard to @Brav, @JoshingtonState, @Halo, and everyone else who needs to hear our voices. We need to be really loud just before E3 due to strategic reasons.
I sent out my tweets. maybe I’ll keep doing that every day. Get the word out guys!
I agree, playing 1v1 is ok but it is not that fun when you have lots of people at your house. Then while only to people play it becomes weird bruise the other two are watching, waiting for someone to die. You then get excited for the death of a player, not the game. They should put four split, not just two.
I just hope 2 player splitscreen is decent.
Its awful in reach, h4 and h2a.
Were we successful? Gameinformer just put this out.
It clearly says 4 player coop split screen! As far as I know from this thread Josh Holmes said 2 player only for campaign and multiplayer locally. So is this a victory, at least for the campaign?

I dont want to get banned so I will say this.
Don’t invent, it says " four-player co-op." it doesn’t say split screen for a reason, but that will be resolved well. Someone leaked the game informer article, I read everything, from the demo to MP and coop and one more thing in the end. I won’t spoil anything but 343 is doing a great job in any aspect! I just don’t like one feature from campaign but… well whatever not a big deal or game changer, this halo will be amazing!
Wait, so is it at least two player split?

Ok, thanks. I’m not sure I understand the part about the leak, but don’t get yourself banned. Thank you for informing me.

no problem, can’t wait for E3!
Tweet this to the devs:

Petitions are not allowed.
Wait I read the article and I think it said coop split screen won’t be in…
Can someone please prove me wrong. Maybe a typo or just a small mistake by the writer
It did not say that it would be Split Screen. But I still hold on to hope. Tweet to the devs. Make sure they know you want it. 4 player co-op on one box would be sweet! Mybodyisready.gif

Having or not having, theres no time to change so that would not make any diference
Gameinformer article specifically stated that “splitscreen co-op in Halo 5 is NOT supported”. But, you don’t need XBox Live Gold to play on-line. Who cares? If they are removing 2-player split-screen from Halo 5, I will most likely not buy the game. Part of the fun is being able to play with my teen-age son. Not planning on dropping another $400+ just to get back functionality that we’ve had since Halo:CE. I get that 4-player split-screen may be technically unfeasible (due to hardware limitations of the Xbox One), but 2-player? Come on, that’s lame.

I agree wholeheartedly. I’ll still get the game, but it’s a pretty big let down. My wife & I like to play Halo co-op. I also like to sign into both of our accounts using two controllers and hop into customs or forge to take themed-screenshots.
But then again, we haven’t had much word about theater … I’m a little worried.
