> I’ll be honest, the immensely low quality of the writing of Spartan Ops, Initiation, and The Next 72 Hours, and the fact that the writer of such low quality writing is the lead writer of Halo 5: Guardians is really causing me to start bracing for Halo 5 to have worst story by miles.
Yeah, the guy who said “let’s throw requiem into the sun because lol” probably isn’t the person I’d want writing the script for arguably the single most important Halo game since Halo CE.
> IDK…I still think CoD AW (Yeah…I just said that) and H5G will have amazing stories. I actually liked 72 hours. IMO H5G in no way shape or form can be worse then H3.
I wish I had your optimism. Reed just doesn’t have the best track record with Halo.

I agree, but I also feel that he and the rest of 343i will hit a home-run. The set-up they are doing is awesome.
A plethora of mistakes pertaining to basic trivia. Kelly and Linda’s signature roles being switched and the firing range of Halo’s being off by two digits are prime sources for this fear.
Villians being deprived of all moral grayness. I mean come on, the Didact and Zane were literately Bond villains. Luckily, Jul 'Mdama was portrayed pretty well.
Boring and repressive dialogue during gameplay. “Linda, save the eggheads with your superior speed while Kelly kills the hingeheads with her sniper.”
When I get down I look to the stars for hope. I take solace in the thought that one day we will go there. I love thinking about it all, the many adventures we will all have out there. I love the thought of an alien race maybe being out there.
I cry about the fact that I won’t see any of it…I can only hope someone or something will remember who I was and what I was on the pale blue dot.
In the more likely case I am forgotten…well I hope to leave behind something detailing my thoughts…what life was like. What I thought of it all. My friends, and who they were and what we learned in our time together…the many fights we had, the tears we shed, the laughs we had and most of all how much they meant to me. And even if no one way down the road read it…all it would take is just one curious person in the future to pick it up and learn and care about me…a person that by that time is long gone.
Time capsules…they have always depressed me…it is a reminder that we have a limited time here…but they make me happy also…it gives us a way to talk to and help even after we depart. I would love to make one with the ones I love and my friends. You know…I used to fantasize about Cryo-sleep…how I would love to see the future…but then I thought about it one night. Waking up everyone I ever knew would be gone…and while I would forever carry their memory into the future, I would not be able to take it…specialy if I went back and looked to see how they all aged. What really gets to me is that no one I care about understands just how much they mean to me…
I wept the most I’ve wept in awhile that night…
I’m so sorry…I got carried away there…but I’m thankful I have an awesome place like Waypoint to talk about this stuff.
Always get an uncontrollable smirk on my face when i hear that theme. Though i’d be lying if i said i didn’t see it coming, really. Season 12 was great, but do you ever get the feeling that the overall quality of the series has dipped since Burnie stopped writing?

When exactly did Burnie stop writing? Was it after Season 8, because that’s when I noticed a drop in quality.

Season 10, i believe. Season 11, he co-wrote it with Miles, but i believe Miles was largely in control. Season 12 was all Miles. This season was good, but a little slow at times. The fighting animations feel really stiff, now, also. Though thats probably because Monty Oum (the animator) is focusing on RWBY.

Yeah, the fighting did seem off. I mean, 12 was good, but it seemed to drag on at times, for an ultimately mediocre conclusion (besides the post-credits scene of course).

I was able to appreciate it more than season 11, but yeah, it was fairly mediocre. Though every RvB season has a habit of blowing minds somehow. And that twist about the identity of “control” is one that i really didn’t see coming.

It was still however enjoyable, Episode 18 blew it right out of the park.
Still have no idea what the end credits scene actually means though.

I was expecting the counselor. Because where the hell is he?
Microsoft just announced the next Windows. I’m SO PUMPED!!!
I was tracking live tweets from PC Mag, and I got to see the title within 1 minute of its announcement.
It’s being called Windows 10. Not 9, not Threshold, 10.
It’s going to run on all Microsoft devices. Tablets, PCs, and phones. No more Windows Phone. That means that the next major update for my Lumia 820 will be Windows 10. Wow.
EDIT: I just read that it’ll be on Xbox One as well.
