Yooooooooo!!! I’m so hype, I just defeated my 1st Legendary Ship in AC4. After about 7 tries or a few more, it was so intense!!! I saw one on the map, so I figured why not go for it before I go to bed.
I have no elite upgrades, they are all advanced except I haven’t spent anything on fire barrels. Seeing how lethal that ship was, I went about it with a different technique on my last try. I literally had to keep on its backside without getting too far away from it, to the point where I was ramming nearly the whole time with chain shots and round shots to the back. Sooooo happy, went from hating Naval combat in AC3 to absolutely loving it now in this game.
I haven’t even gone against man-of-wars higher than 40, but went straight for the big dog. That was awesome, and it’s late lol see y’all.

I’d say something about not being attached to my computer, but I’ve got 8000 posts on this site and I’m schooling through an online program. I spend waaaaaay too much time on my computer.
Now if only there were sports where I lived besides swimming and tennis…

I can understand his reasoning, but I really can’t say I agree with it. I’m still very disappointed and I really can’t say I’m looking forward to what Microsoft has in store.

Let us look at the previous company that Microsoft bought. Rare ware. Made wonderful games, worked in a barn in the country side of England, had a bonsai tree Shigeru Myamoto gave them as thanks for making great games on Nintendo consoles. Now they make avatar items for XBL Marketplace, no longer work in a barn, and they took the bonsai tree away.
-Yoink- Microsoft. Seriously I’m pretty pissed right now. They might not directly drop support for other platforms, but I’m sure that on the case of other operating systems they’ll have future updates of the game run like absolute -Yoink- that will likely contain severe drops in FPS and constant crashes.
Minecraft might still run on Linux, but it would be a hellish experience.
I have to say, I find it rather ironic how everyone is pitching a fit about possibly losing support for their particular platform now that Microsoft owns Minecraft, yet nobody has a problem with Halo being denied to non-Xbox One users.
I mean, c’mon, guys! Minecraft could save the Xbox One! Microsoft needs those exclusives! I mean, that’s what everyone’s concerned about here, riiight?..
Here’s the thing, Halo started as an exclusive and didn’t hit any other platforms until 2003. Minecraft, on the other hand, has always been multiplatform and when one completely drops those platforms (or intentionally makes it as buggy as hell), there’s a serious problem.
It’s pretty much giving customers that paid for the game the finger.
And let’s remember, all Microsoft has to do to “continue to support” other platforms is just make sure that it will run on other platforms regardless of how well it runs.

True. I was mostly just being sarcastic there, but I do understand the concern there.
Though, if you think about it, Halo started as a multiplatform- until Microsoft bought Bungie. The only difference between Halo and Minecraft in this instance is that in one case, the acquisition occurred prior to launch.
I don’t personally play Minecraft, but I sincerely hope nobody’s platform gets abandoned just because Microsoft wants to sell Xboxes.

I don’t think Microsoft would be foolish enough to do this, all it would do is make people stop playing the game, they’re not going to be an entirely new system for it.
And besides, the business model Minecraft has at the moment works well otherwise Microsoft wouldn’t have brought it, best to keep it as it is.

They’ve done it before though. Skype is a prime example of them acquiring a product and intentionally making it buggy on other OS’s.
Before Microsoft bought Skype in 2011, it ran flawlessly on Linux. Ever since the next update following MS’s purchase, however, I have been constantly plagued by bugs and glitches that are non-existent on Windows. I, and plenty of other Linux users, still face those bugs today.

That’s a shame to hear, I would say that they have hopefully learnt from their mistakes but the lack of fixes for Linux users makes me think that they either haven’t learnt from it or that… “cow poo” worked somehow.
> How’s everyone doing today?
Doing alright, didn’t have to go in to college into 12 today.
I got Republic Commando for my PC yesterday. I had forgotten how pwned I would get every 5 seconds. Sad the game is so short. It only took me around 6 hours on hard to complete it.
