> Anyone have any tips on changing the way a pessimist thinks?

Not really. I’m a serious pessimist myself…

My philosophy?

“The best way to live: Hope for the best, plan for the worst.”

“No matter how bad things are, they can- and will- get worse.”

“Always assume the worst of situations. That way, you’ll never be disappointed. If you assume the best and the worst happens, then you’re upset and disappointed. If you assume the worst and the worst happens, then you’re still upset, but you were at least proven right. If the best happens, you’ll be pleasantly surprised.”

Way, way off-topic:
I just left the reception for my older brother’s wedding. It was great to finally see him married, though it’s kind of been tiring lately. The rehearsals last night, his bachelor party the night before that… yawn

> Anyone have any tips on changing the way a pessimist thinks?

Hypnosis!

In all seriousness, pretty much do the ol’ ‘Well, look at it this way…’ routine. Something bad or unwanted can always lead to new things. Everything in life closes one door, and opens another. It’s full of possibilities. Something good can always come out of the bad.

But sometimes it’s not that easy. Normally, you can’t change a pessimist. Want my advice, steer clear of 'em. They’re normally downers. And, if your a pessimist yourself, it could be worse, always remember that. Stop griping about this and that and be thankful that you have a computer. Your griping and downer-ism is obsolete, and nobody wants to listen to it.

Stop thinking like one?

> Anyone have any tips on changing the way a pessimist thinks?

If you can’t beat them, join them.

> Anyone have any tips on changing the way a pessimist thinks?

Depends on the person. I was a pessimist for quite a while, but that won me no friends. I guess the aspect of social life they lead could help change them.

Wow…ive only played Destiny for two days and i already have a fan fic in mind. Not to mention, this will be my 5th fan fic ive done, and the number of OC’s in total from all fan fics will break 300. Is this normal or crazy?

Anyhow, hows it going folks?

> Anyhow, hows it going folks?

Not too bad, not sure what to write for this “personal statement” for University though and I got a ton of work to do on-top of that.

How’s you?

Its been good, lately. Just getting some abstract art done for my animation class. May also draw the Master Chief, if not my Spartan as part of class. What career are you pursuing, if i may ask?

I recommend the Chief, may be easier without the secondary colour, then again I know nothing about that sort of thing.

Not a clue on the career, but I’m planning to go for a degree in Politics and see where I go from there, may combine it with International Relations as-well.

EDIT: BTW, you’ve got to be kidding me with these usernames.

True…it would be easier to due the chief b/c my spartan has a different color scheme. May do it,

As for career, thats great. I dont know too much about International Relations, but that sounds exciting. Study hard and good luck.

Wouldnt be surprised if the member created a secondary account. But lets not talk about it too much, if you know what i mean.

Thanks, I’ll need all the luck I can get.

Doubt it, it Ix something xI has always been common, never been sure as to why though.

I’m in love with Destiny.

So it’s Halo: Reach’s birthday. It’s been four years.

Wow, already? Going to be nice to remember as an Xbox 360 exclusive along with ODST and Wars because now all of them except those three will be on Xbox One.

I just might play some Reach today. I forgot how much I actually loved it.

It is a great game, go play it. Remember Reach.

Bungie writes "Remember where it all began", but wasn't Harvest actually the first to go? I get that the Fall of Reach is much more major.

Oh yeah. Im currently at lvl 9 trying to reach Mars so i can go get that rare Thorn handgun. Looks so cool.

Agreed. ODST was really fun, especially firefight. Hopefully, Guardians has that and SpOps.

Btw, was it you that told me you have Destiny on the 360, or some one else. Apparently i lost track of posts.

They were probably just referring to how the main trilogy of games started off.

Not helping guys!
This is concerning another person though.

Just mention the good things in life, make them feel lucky compared to other places in the world, it’s not easy to change someones perspective on life.
