It’s been 3 months since his disappearance. Three months of no kaiju destruction. Three months of rebuilding. Of getting things back to normalcy. Three months of peace shattered by one die hard G-fan quoting a familiar sound.
s4 raids again!
Great, I made a Rulers of Earth and Godzilla Raids Again reference in the same post. Yeah. But any who, glad to finally a working computer again after my old one carped out and spending 2 months trying to get that damn thing fixed before getting a new one. That and then spending almost a week redownloading everything from my old computer. Sounds fun doesn’t it.
In light of this crap, today Sony released the Blu-ray copies of Godzilla 2000, GMK/Meachgodzilla 3, and the Rebirth of Mothra trilogy with their original Japanese cuts. Which I also got today in the mail as well and is more worth my money than Destiny. Since I more care about the King of the Monsters than any other franchise. Hell, back in 2004, when Halo 2 came out, I didn’t really care about it and the only thing cared about that year was Godzilla: Final Wars and Save the Earth. But on topic, I’m happy that I got 2 of the best Godzilla movies with GMK being my second favorite in the series (with Gojira being the first) and an OKish Meachgodzilla film in Blu-ray quality. That and great to also have the Mothra trilogy into my collection even though they aren’t the best kaiju movies but still enjoyable than I had with the late showa Gamera movies.
Lastly, Godzilla 2014 will be release on DVD and Blu-ray next week. I should be getting the MetalPak steelbook edition. Though the version I really want to get is the German exclusive Collector’s edition which comes with a statue of Godzilla. Wish this version would also been released in the US as well. Hopefully I find it on Ebay for cheap after spending close to $200 on importing Godzilla stuff from Japan. Yeah, that’s how much I care about Godzilla.

Hope you’re ready for the squeal on June 8, 2018! Kinda sucks that I have wait another 4 years for a Godzilla movie but I strongly believe that Gareth Edwards make it better. Since Godzilla 2014 was his major Hollywood film, he can hammer out the flaws with G2014 out of the next one. Well, I have Jurassic World, Skull Island (which I believe is that film adaptation of Kong: King of Skull Island that was talked about last year), and Pacific Rim 2/the animated series to keep me busy during that long wait. I really wish that Legendary Pictures would also do a Godzilla animated series but that might be depending on how well the Rim series does and if Toho lets them do it.

What Godzilla desires is its own anime. B/c i can assure you that would be quite interesting to watch,

Yes and no, Kong: King of Skull Island was a kind of a sequel/prequel to the 1933 original where Carl Denham’s son, Vincent Denham, who travels to Skull Island and learns about Kong’s backstory and history of the island. Such as, Kong is the name of the species of giant apes and the one from the movies is the last of his kind; Kong’s backstory is similar to Batman’s where his parents were killed by a Dinosaur named Gaw, who the islanders worship as a god before Kong; and that the island was part of Atlantis.
Last year it was announced that there will be a film of this book, but since Universal and Legendary announced this film just as Skull Island. Leads me to believe this is that adaptation.
@Rojas: Unfortunately, Toho is not that willing to do a Godzilla anime anytime soon due to how protective they are of him. They’re not that experimental as Tsuburaya Productions was when they did the Ultraman anime. We’re more likely to see a Gamera anime long before the Big G.
