Anyway, just got back from seeing āThe Giverā with a bunch of my friends since we had read it in middle school. I enjoyed it, though it had quite a few differences from the tale. It stayed true to the original story for the most part though.
I also liked it how the movie clarified that Jonas actually didnāt die in the end.

That kinda ruins it though doesnāt it? A crucial element of the book was not knowing the world was black and white until the Giver revealed it. Thereās no way to translate that to a movie.

Yeah, but I will admit, they made a good effort. Itās in black in white until the Giver reveals colors, then when Jonas is away, the community goes back into black and white.

Its on Nicktoons, however its strange that after season 2, they took it off that air and had repeats to Avatar: the last airbender. Yet, thats wat i know, but i really dont know.

nicktoons is not in my country as far as i know. thats why i never really heard of it.
