The Official Off-topic Thread 7

So, they revealed Nisha the Lawbringers ability in the new Borderlands game.

And i have to say, this character will most likely be the new Salvador the Gunzerker: A character that requires no skill to use.

Salvador and Zero were overrated. I think I may go with Wilhelm this game.

I liked Zero.

Sure. Just cover the ball in sea urchin spines.

So, Doctor Who is probably my favorite TV show of all time, but there is one thing in that show that annoys the hell out of me:

Obvious plotholes. And what is even more annoying, that if there is an obvious plothole, the explanation for it is most of the time either ‘wibbly wobbly timey-wimey’ or ‘Rule number 1: The Doctor lies’…

Possibly the worst obvious plothole in the series was the ending of ‘Pandorica Opens’.

Why and how did the TARDIS explode? It was never explained in any episode afterwards.

It’s something that bugs me as well?
It’s possible the TARDIS exploded under the care of the 12th doctor sometime in the future, er, past. Whenever he was. I mean, Capaldi doctor looks a little un-hinged. It’s possible he ends up blowing it up.

Wow, VERY impressive.

The Turtles in the new TMNT movie seem great but I’m not too sure about the rest of the film. From the trailers they seem like they ripped off a few scenes from The Amazing Spider-Man except in daytime.

The 12th Doctor existing also annoys me, because it keeps reminding me that the writers can’t even follow their own rules.

It has been shown and said many times in the show that if something is meant to happen, it will happen.
Well, ‘The name of the Doctor’ confirmed that the Doctor dies at Trenzalore. Well did he?

I agree. I was supposed to watch it last night but decided not to b/c i rather wait to see the weekend reviews. In addition, read an article that its more about April than the Turtles. Funny, it reminds me of Godzilla, where is title is supposed to be about the monster and instead, it focuses on the humans. I really miss the old ones, tbh.

Oh man, why? The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are the titular characters and from what I’ve heard, the best things about the film. I will be more interested if they delve into her journalistic background.

I would say he did. A new set of regenerations=new guy.
Which also sucks. It comes to a point where you can just keep him alive forever.

Godzilla may have had the least amount of screen time, but it was still clearly his movie.

Maybe I just hated him because I generally dislike the stealthy approach to combat. That, and Zero is a walking cliché.

Oh yes.

That movie was probably my favorite movie of this year. (I haven’t seen Guardians of the Galaxy yet, so…)

And Oompa, it’s a Micheal Bay film! Of course you’re not sure about it!

Guardians of the Galaxy is great. I know Michael Bay produced the movie, but he didn’t direct it!

True. Yet, i wish he had more screen time, like in 1954.

Agreed. Godzilla was the best film i watched this year. As for GotG, saw it Wednesday and i gotta admit, i didnt expect it to be that good. One problem i had was that there were too many 70’s songs, like hooked on a feeling, come and get ya love, stayin alive, etc. Then again, the comic itself came out in the 70’s if im not mistaken. Btw, did anyone realize that Josh Brolin was Thanos?
