Oompa, love those Green & Blue Remixes in your bio. Remember listening to them about a year ago thinking “THESE REMIXES ARE FANTASTIC!”.

They are fantastic indeed! My sig “Green and Blue” also applies to me on a more personal level, including but not limited to Green and Blue in Green Lantern, where Green represents Will and Blue represents Hope (Hope has no power without Will), they go together like chocolate and peanut butteror mashed potatoes and gravy like John and Cortana haha xD

Never thought I’d see a Green Lantern fan! (Don’t take that as an insult, it’s just I don’t know many people who are fans of The Green lantern.)

Oh no, definitely not an insult, I’d rather take that as a compliment. I don’t see anyone who likes Green Lantern either, the poor movie doesn’t help. Bummer because it had, and still has so much potential. The script in my opinion was awful, the bad guy was a victim and his normal human form was more heroic than Hal Jordan, and Hal Jordan fought against a cloud in an overload of poor CGI (that mask!)

I’m such a huge fan Green Lantern fan but I don’t actively read the comic books because there’s too much to read, I’ve only read a few Green Lanterns including Brightest Day. The whole idea of “The Emotional Spectrum” is very captivating.

Yeah, the movie isn’t the best I’ve ever seen…

But I definitely agree with your opinion on the Emotional Spectrum. Really cool idea that I feel got overshadowed by the poor movie (as did the whole of The Green Lantern).

The interview with Brian Reed on yesterday’s Halo Bulletin would have us know that essential canon items wouldn’t require dwelving into the expanded media, yet…

Confirming the return of the Didact on a brand new world that is accessible through Installation 03 via slipspace portal doesn’t seem like a way to do that. In fact, comic books are easily the least accessible medium for canon.

Not to mention, the Composer Abyss wouldn’t been absolutely terrifying to see in-game, and I think that that’s a wasted opportunity.

Plus, seeing the direction that ‘The Next 72 Hours’ is heading, with the Master Chief and Blue Team heading into a trap set by the Didact (a trap that already resulted in a Spartan II team that had fought through and survived an entire Covenant armada being killed) I’m starting to assume that Blue Team, with the exception of the Master Chief, will be killed. Worse, Blue Team dying would also explain why the Master Chief is alone in the E3 2013 trailer.

That’d be a pretty big slap to the face for those who spend hours of their lives reading pages and pages of the expanded media only to have the characters that were constantly neglected by Bungie get killed in a comic series.

If the Didact is going to wipe out Blue Team, it should be in-game where we all can bask in the horror. Now that would leave a meaningful impact on fans.

Anyhow, let’s direct any further Escalation-related venting to its respective thread in the Universe section.

Nonetheless, I still enjoyed it. I have heard that they are working on a sequel.

Green Lantern didn’t even mention the Emotional Spectrum, did they? They only talked about the Green Lantern Corps. If they’re going to properly set up sequels involving other Lanterns which they should, then have a 2-10 minute clip explaining the Emotional Spectrum and then the Green Lantern Corps is like, “We’re Green Lanterns” and the movie focuses on that because it is Green Lantern. Also, Sinestro dons the Yellow Ring in a post-credits scene when there is absolutely no reason to, I mean Hal Jordan just defeated one of the most powerful enemies on his own proving Sinestro that he was wrong about him and that the Green Lantern Corps is in good shape. No one knows anything about the Yellow Ring because they didn’t talk about the Emotional Spectrum.

I’d say the Emotional Spectrum is the best thing about Green Lantern and the filmmakers didn’t do anything about it.

Does anyone by any chance have an extra Destiny Xbox 360 code? My brother would like to play with me but doesn’t have a code to do so.

Edit: Nevermind.

No, they didn’t mention it, which was on of the main reasons why I didn’t enjoy the movie. If they’re making a sequel, I hope they DO incorporate it, because that would just be amazing!

I was just in a debate with another person about fan fiction, and I’m going to share my response here as well:

> Being a writer who spends hours and hours and hours of my life churning out both fan fiction and in general, raw fiction, I’m going to say that when people log onto forums and call fanfic writer’s a “serious problem” and a “blight on this Earth,” I find that both rude, insentient, and just plain hurtful. I put days, months, of work into my writing, and when people jump to the conclusion that I’m harming an entire universe, it’s demeaning. It’s upsetting. It’s offensive.
>
> I’m not going to deny that there are legal issues with fan fiction. Hell, some writer’s have had to scrap their work because of a fanfic writer demanding credit. But to assume that the entire population of fanfic writers are people who obnoxiously crave attention and harm the creative works of others?
>
> That’s just absurd. And as I previously put it, hurtful.

I like Green Lantern and the Emotional Spectrum concept. Haven’t had much of a chance to read though. So many things, so many places to start…

Need to finish The Dark Tower series before I begin anything else. And the Pratchett books.

Well, Green Lantern did/does have a tv show(animated). It was pretty fun seeing the living planet in action!
Also, I hope that they don’t get that black ring involved

  • shudders-

Woohoo!
ODST- Bronze!

I miss the Green Lantern Animated Series that was on DC Nation…which of course ended up getting cancelled along with Young Justice and Beware the Batman and thus turned DC Nation in a block of that terrible Teen Titans Go! show.

That’s one bad insomnia.

Teen Titans the original was okay, but Teen Titans Go! just mocks the original series and is literally brain-dead in my eyes…

So trying to get the Dark Age ending in Dark Souls along with the other achievements. All I have left is collection is and reinforcement achievements left. Most of them are just tedious and long.

Getting all the rare weapons is going to be such a pain in the -Yoink-. Already missed a bunch of them. I choose the Greatshield of Artorias over his sword, missed the Drakesword, missed the Water Dragon King Axe, have to fight Ornstien and Smough again, etc. Ugh this going to be painful -______-

Sooooooo… what’s everyone up to lately? Can’t get Escalation 8 until Wednesday… :frowning:

Another gamenight under the belt…
