I think Bungie/Activision is steeling itself. Surely they notice all the Destiny preorders and see how easily over-hyped games have servers crash.

Fixed that up for you.

You’d think that GTA V would have had the same dilemma, but with at least four years to develop the game and obviously, a -Yoink- load of hype, they failed to prevent any server issues.
The world has yet to learn how to properly manage servers, unfortunately.

I have to agree, Yiaz. Gonna be truly honest with you guys, a week before Halo 4 came out, I had a feeling the server were gonna crash within 1 hour, and I too would not be surprised if Destiny’s server crash from overload. Then again, most online games do have that problem once there released, lol.
Now I, for one, was thinking about going to the midnight release at my local gamestop, but I changed my mind b/c most likely the servers will go down, from overload, and if i were to get it in the morning while everyone else is in school, it’ll give me time to enjoy it without any problems. (I’m of Tuesdays from work, btw)
EDIT: Once again…everyone disappeared,
> EDIT: Once again…everyone disappeared,
I’m here, nobody likes to talk to me is all. D:
If I may barge into this Destiny server discussion I’d like to add that I just hope it isn’t as bad as GTA Online when that first went live. It was so frustrating to actually get in the game and even when you could that evil tutorial would stand in your way. I couldn’t love Lamar Online like I did in the story.

NOT IF I HAVE ANYTHING TO SAY ABOUT IT!

Being able to get into a game in GTA Online in the first few weeks was like winning the lottery.

Weapon stats are normalized in PvP, so each weapon class does the same damage. In PvP, everything is basically cosmetic only.

Riiiiiight, Mr. Trying-to-Make-It-to-Spartan-Rank…
Nah, I’m just kiddin’ ya.
How’s everybody doing today? I want to play Destiny… but I don’t have the console I’m getting it for yet! D:

Yup, Bungie thought ahead enough to keep that base covered. Speaking of Destiny, I’m curious as to whether or not there will be a map editor. Given how successful Halo 3 and Reach forge was, I figure it would make sense for them to implement something similar… Well, I can dream…
Okay, i do know that item flipping is one of the best ways to make money in Runescape, but its only a good way to make money WHEN YOU ALREADY HAVE A -Yoink- TON OF MONEY.
I seriously love all these flipping guides on the internet:
‘So, the first thing you need is 100mil, and then you are gonna buy Torva items, Godswords, Dragonfire shield etc, then you are gonna wait 24 hours and sell them for 5-10% profit.’
Okay, now where em i going to get the first 100mil?
And why would i start flipping Torva, if my goal is to get dual Grygore hammers with full Torva armor by only using money i got from flipping items!

Maybe he should just get a job at Tesco.

Now you see, doing the sensible and logical thing would be sensible and logical, so it’s never done.
Welcome to life.

Believe me, i would play RS07, but 2 things stop me from playing it:
Lack of GE, and you have to start from scratch.
And besides, now that Legacy mode is here, RS3 starts to feel like RS did back in the day.
If you could live in any city in the USA, what would you pick? This applies to all here.

Anywhere in the UP of Michigan, not picky where in there. A random town called St. Ignace. I love the South but it is too blasted hot, I hate the coasts and I hate living in interior states.

Compton, California.

All the microtransaction stuff still kills it for me.

Either New York or Seattle.

The microtransactions are annoying yes, but they are there because Jagex lost about 900K players after the EoC update came out.
And think about how many of those players were subscribed members.
> If you could live in any city in the USA, what would you pick? This applies to all here.
Albuquerque simply because it’s in New Mexico. And, I love New Mexico.
Says nothing of the APD scandals.
