> I think the Michael Bay Transformers are fine. I go into the Theater expecting Autobot and Decepticon fights, a little bit of humor, nice sound and visual effects, great music from Jablonsky, and a Linkin Park song at the end. For what it tries to do, it delivers. It may be a mess, but for many it’s a good time at the theatre.
When I watched the second and third movies in the theater, in my mind I kept saying, where the -Yoink- are the Transformers. There just wasn’t enough screen time for them as it kept focusing on humans most the time. One of the good things about the 1986 Transformers film is that there were only two human characters in it while the rest focused on the robots.
The crude humor was really unnecessary. The best kind of humor Transformers ever had was the dark humor in Beast Wars.
Visual effects may have been cool, but it was just all over the place.
As for Linkin Park, well, I’ve really never been a fan of their new stuff. In my opinion, their first two albums were their best.
Can I just say how, in my opinion, Spartan Miller is the WORST SpOps mission there is? They throw wave after wave of Knight Battlewagons, each with a fleet of Watchers and Crawler Primes. Not only that, but it’s the only Ops mission that fails you if you can’t complete your mission. I’ve been playing every mission solo on Normal, and Spartan Miller is the only one I have to switch to Easy in order have a sliver of hope of completing it solo. I’m so glad 343 didn’t do any other missions like it.
