The Official Off-topic Thread 7

I see my comment sparked quite the MLP controversy.

Now I have to make a math test for my students. Hopefully they all bring the correct homework, they’re kinda derpy. Silly second graders, get distracted very easily.

I already think about this way too often but…

Hello, all. I will be here.

Yay America.

Make this a game.

I will pay anything for it.

I wonder did the writers of Borderlands 2 ever look back at the script and wonder ‘Why the hell did we write that?’

I mean, there are many pieces of dialogue, both random and official, that make no sense.

The worst part of the official dialogue is the beginning of the mission ‘A train to catch’. There, Roland explains how the Crimson Raiders were wrong about Jack’s plan. He says that ‘Jack is not going to open the Vault and wipe us out, he is going to control it’. After this he explains that the Vault is a ‘Living thing’, a monster called ‘The Warrior’.

So, how was their original intel wrong? Whats the difference between opening a Vault and using the monster inside it to kill everyone, and ‘Awakening’ the Vault and using the monster inside it to kill everyone?

I need some sleep…

Anyone going to Toronto for Fan Expo in August? If so look for me. I will be wearing this. It promotes me, my fanfiction and the godly artist o PixelFlare o (Wangtime).

Hmmm, to game or not to game, that is the question.
Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to allow my wife to watch something on Netflix,
Or to take arms against competing Spartans.
And by opposing end them? To die, and respawn
Once more; and again, until games end …

I still have not gotten a Conference Call from the Warrior.
Does the Warrior have a chance to drop other legendaries?

24: Live another day is sooooo good. Blown away by this recent episode.

Odd.

I’ve started my quest to re-do all the Spartan Ops missions on Normal, trying to depict a semi-canon play through, playing as if a person was actually going through Ops (normally, I end up meleeing the wall whenever someone makes a one-liner). When I die, I just restart the mission.

What’s odd is on Hunting Trip, the Elite Zealot that’s with Parg Vol always dropped a BR. When I was fighting the Hunters, I looked down at where the Zealot used to be dead, and I noticed a BR lying on the ground. Wasn’t the one by the ammo crate, cause that’s the one I picked up.

Fast forward a bit and I get crushed by the second Hunter. Annoyed, I re-loaded the mission and killed Parg Vol and the Zealot a second time. This time, however, after I killed Parg Vol, I looked down and saw a BR in the same spot I killed the Zealot.

Am I going crazy, or does the sword-wielding Zealot have a BR? He’s always got Active Camo, so I can never get a clear view of him. All I know is there was a BR in the same spot twice, lying on the ground in the middle of the platform, conveniently next to the dead Zealot.

I love it when I see a rabbit hopping…

Oh, wait, this isn’t that kind of discussion…

I know that it drops a Legendary grenade mod, shield, “The -Yoink-” SMG and The Flakker Shotgun. At least those are the Legendaries it has dropped for me.

My my, aren’t we lively in here?

Another thing that really angered me about the story was…

Roland’s and Bloodwing’s deaths. I mean, why didn’t Roland just appear back at a New-U Station? Bloodwing was also too cool to die.

I know right. :stuck_out_tongue:

Same with Jack at the end. Why didn’t he just respawn at the New-U station?

Gasp

Signs of life! How’s everyone doing this morning? Watched the new episode of RvB… I’d take the flying north power.

Yeah. From what I’ve heard, the reason they had those deaths were because fans were complaining that the story wasn’t elaborate enough and not too gritty. Therefore, Gearbox decided that these scenarios would somehow make the story interesting. I disagree. -_-

I’m fine. I have to go shopping in a bit. Otherwise, I have no work today!

Woops! Double Post.

Is anyone having any problems with Amazon? I’ve ordered 4 books from them 4 days ago and they have yet to ship. My father says the stuff he has ordered from them at work too is also late on shipping.

@RJCCJ- The first Borderlands did have a pretty bad story. Made it all feel a little dull midway through the game.
