Now for the new Spartan Ops, I would suggest it to be a campaign add-on to the franchise for the first time, but this time it would be very difficult infiltration & Kidnapping Ops for the Elite Spartans, I would consist of infiltration in Capital ships, enemy home worlds, capturing of an asset, ship or very important intel that would have to be done in multiple steps & stages, every decisions counts and could change future events, hacking terminals & network would have to be a mandatory and each spartan would have to have an AI capable of decrypting new intel & unlock new passages and intercept & transmit hacked infos or vocals print or messages to advance in these missions, and those missions could be in teams of four, then divided in submission of 2 and finally individual mission, all in extreme secrecy of the UNSC and stealth from the Spartan team and at the end of that mission they could deliver a nuclear payload to delete all clues left behind and clean up the mess for an epic success of the mission! The new version of Spartan Ops can be taken in a zero G environment or an increased G environment, it would have to be primarily done in silence & encrypted radio channels to avoid detection but with lots of enemy killing in complete stealth very deep behind enemy lines like the Halo Evolution Headhunter and we will have to have all of the different visual enhancements like night vision, enhance ODST vision without the light flares with an automatic exposure adjustment, the 3D Radar vision like Kinect 2.0, Infrared heat vision, etc.

Hello 343i, how you doing these days, hope everything is as exciting for you as it is for me, I can’t wait to hear some more super awesome Halo news soon!

First I’d like to talk about a dream of mine, I’d like to share with you my vision of the next Halo series & games.

Imagine a world where every characters would look legit as in real life, where the Elites would have the perfect body of Halo Wars (with different colors like dark cream, brown, black & albinos white with a flawless skin without all the bumps everywhere like the Grunts but only some on the head) but with the Face of Elites in Halo Reach or like the Ancient Arbiter in Halo legend The Dual, also where the Grunts would be exactly like in Reach but with the funny mouth & eyes of H4 with their methane pack that can be shoot out again (very important), imagine a Halo world where the jackals would be a perfect mix between Reach & H4 for the face & have the Skirmishers back, with the Buggers, Hunters of Reach which was the real Design, and most of all the Real Brutes from H3 & Halo Wars and not like Reach and Beyond but with the Reach markings on their bodies like tats, seriously 343i, you got to stop all of this nonsense of redesign that’s literally ruining the franchise, everything needs to looks authentic and Hi Fidelity, not what you think is the new Halo but What Bungie created and developed!

Please remember that The Elites were originally a design from the Predator, so it needs to go back to its roots, The most perfect version was the Halo Reach Elites, with its triangular bottom jaw and their tongue, you need to know that without a proper tongue nobody can speak and to speak an Elite needs to close his mouth so that it can create proper sound that anybody can ear, and no Elite can speak with their mouth wide open, it’s a fact, and that’s the reality of things and it’s totally Authentic. Now imagine a Halo with a warthog that looks like the one in Reach, feels like the one in H3 for the bounces and drives like Halo Reach, now imagine a halo With full vehicles, like the Hornet, Falcon, Banshee, Mongoose, Mantis, Siege Bike but with two tire treads (for turning), Light Assault VTOL (Serious Name Change Alert, how about Dragonfly), Spectre, Revenant, Ghost, Tank, Wraith, Elephant, Mammoth, Prowler, Chopper, with all the Halo Wars Vehicles and a vehicle for each class of vehicle for all factions, even the Brutes and they all need to feel like H3 & Reach again.

Imagine a Halo with multiple types of Assault Riffle, Snipers, Shotguns, Rockets types, Railguns, Grenade Launchers, Sticky Detonators, Target Locators, Spartan Lasers, Multiple more Warthog versions, all of previous weapons from past Halos & books etc, multiple grenade types for multiple factions, lots of customisations that adds up to 3% more perks to the whole weapon, imagine armor abilities that are actually real good AA and not equipment 2.0, like Armor Lock Being a UNSC response to the Brute Invulnerability equipment, where the Armor Lock become an equipment of up to 3 uses, that depletes one use after a premature release of this equipment, now sprint needs to stay as it is in H4 but with a clock of 12 seconds.

Evade needs to be standard for everyone, thrust me on that, it is more fun, and it would be used by pressing the left joystick while moving in any direction, and also be able to slide by holding the left joystick while running, and even be able to hop over things while running without stopping any momentum, and it needs to have some basic Free Run moves for the runners like running 5 steps on a wall or making a back flip after running straight to the wall, stuff like that, also a proper AA would be Magnetic boots that let you walk on walls and roofs for up to 12 seconds per use and it takes 4 seconds to recharge, now imagine being able to cycle through the different HUD visions with a button, like 3D Radar Vision like the New Kinect 2.0 3D Vision (it would not see through wall but it would be a UNSC version of the Promethean Vision but it would be instant like going on Night vision mode for up to 5 seconds & would recharge like the Promethean vision), Night vision, Enhance ODST vision with automatic exposure adjustment, Infrared Heat vision and many more!

Imagine a Halo that feels Halo, where everyone start equal with the same two weapons & 2 Frag grenade and that’s it, everything else in place on the map on a strategically spawn timer on strategically locations, imagine every equipment from H3 Back and a lot more that can affect the outcome of an encounter, like Flare that actually disrupt an enemy HUD and fill it with parasites and a legit flare not as strong as H3 but more like what’s in cod as long as the enemy stays in the radius of the Flare like the Power Drainer and if he leave the radius of that equipment, he will slowly regain the use of his HUD by the clearing of parasites off his HUD within 3 seconds, you see 343i, all you need is proper balance and usability in the game and going back to your roots with a skill based ranking system and skill based MM and Halo is SAVED! Now all you need now is a Proper Forge with all of its previous tool, a proper Map Editor Exactly Like Far Cry 3 and a Spectator mode in Theaters and features like rewind & forward & skip 5% in both direction in Theaters and think of something new that hasn’t been done in Theaters like ‘‘Relive the Moment’’ where a player with his buddies can go back to a moment in a saved game or campaign, etc, and relive the action of that moment and recreate a new experience out of the original moment that is automatically saved as a new file, imagine it as a redo option for save games, imagine the possibilities, the challenges, the different response of different players towards a situation, imagine art and what the community can do and will do with it, this will revolutionize Halo & Gaming in General, 343i!

PS: One more thing 343i that is Super Important, you’ll need to advertise the Multiplayer just as COD & Battlefield is doing instead of campaign with a lot of Community player feedback Experiences like Battlefield 4 Advertisements is doing with their ‘‘Only in Battlefield 4’’ but BETTER!

And Pretty Please Bring Back the Original Halo Anthem Soundtrack and please don’t take it out, Ever!

Kill cams in Swat. They’re not fair since it you’re playing with another person locally then you don’t get kill cams. Also, since Swat is about sniping then with kill cams your sniping spot is revealed. I don’t think they should be kill cams at all.

I am really enjoying Heavies to get my commendations as of late however just when I was about to get my Scorpion Destroyer commendation, it was reset somehow and I was only 2 away to complete the entire commendation. Is anyone else having this problem while playing Heavies and completing your commendation? It happened to me and I like this problem fixed. Keep Heavies on for a while 343i. I’m loving it and it’s the only DLC where I can play the Castle Map Pack. I really miss playing those maps honestly I wish other Halo players get them. :confused:

Hello 343i, how are you doing, first of all I would like to thank you for utilizing my advice on using a name again with the Halo titles, like Halo CE for Halo 5 Guardians, it’s freaking awesome, and it’s a tradition that should always stay for all upcoming Halo games!

Something I would like to see is a Battlefield 4 styled Halo for Halo 5, now let me be clear, I still want a classless MM where everyone start the same, but look at all the different vehicles, weapons, weapon attachments, gadgets (but in a Halo flavour), etc. Now what I want most is destructive environments, explosion physics & the vehicles physics that have a realistic physics, acceleration, jump, bounces, flight, etc that are affected by the gravity. I mean in battlefield 4 everything is great except the player jump height, the explosion look, feel & sound greatly realistic, the flames are freaking sweet, and the smokes stay in the air for a realistic long time and they look super realistic, that’s what I want in Halo, Now Tajeen if you are still the Audio Director at 343i, I would like a more classical & realistic sound for everything with a lot less gimmicky vehicles & a few weird weapon sound (like the FRG, Concussion Riffle, Plasma Pistol), I see what you were trying to do and I love it (since I’m a sound technician too) but please make them more classical, realistic & subtle except for the UNSC Weapons which sounded super freaking fantastic and please have a different sound for all the different grenade pickups) but first of all, I must say Tajeen you did an outstanding performance for Halo 4 you and your team!

Remember 343i, the name of the game for the Drop Dead Gorgeous Graphic category is light reflection & realistic shadows and not Light & Lens Flare with over darken shadows, so for shadows the trick is to make it constantly changing to the brightest setting for the brightest part of that shadow and try to make them a little brighter then what they are suppose to be, because everyone would prefer light to play in instead of darkness! Now one thing that I always wanted for Halo is proper weapon attachments, now in the Halo 5 Guardians picture with MC, I could see that the new Spartan have a BR with a new scope which is freaking sweet 343i, thank you so very much for making this a dream come true, I hope that there will be a huge collection of weapon customizations and other weapon attachments like a mini shotgun (that have the range of the H3 shotgun, a mini railgun that would have 1/3 to 1/2 of the actual railgun range & damage), a mini crossbow (that would kill upon close range like the H3 shotgun and that can get headshot like the H2 BR in range on a shieldless enemy), a mini Spartan Laser (with a little less damage then the H4 one), a mini concussion riffle for the covenant (that would need 4 or 5 direct shots to kill), a grenade launcher (that shot exactly like the grenade launcher in the Falcon with Grenade Launcher in the Campaign of Halo Reach, because that’s how a Grenade Launcher should react, it should be explosion upon impact and not like what it is in Reach with one bounce then explosion because it is skillless this way, unpredictable & wild, but the holding of the trigger for remote detonation should remain a feature, also it should have a faster reload!

Also for the weapons attachments, a mini missile launcher (that shields out upon impact, and it can also lock onto a land or aerial vehicle just like the missile launcher in H3 but it would make them blast into a sweet & frenetic spin cycle like the washing machine and it could kill a Warthog in 5 hits), a mini silenced SMG, a mini sticky Detonator (that would be half the damage of a regular one but would still kill someone with low health & no shield!) and all the weapons attachments would be accessible with the Up button on the D-Pad, but it would have to be imperative that those attachments would be about half to a third of the damage & range of their regular versions with faster reload for a lot more fun!

One thing that is and will always be fun in Halo is Vehicle Warfare and I hope that you guys at 343i do give us two different Vehicle pack of at least 3 to 5 new awesome vehicles after the release date, something like a Warthog, a Banshee or Hornet with Rockets and a Tank, and if there is more in that pack, also an Elephant style Mini Base vehicle and a Falcon style troop aerial vehicle for the Vehicle Packs! Thank you so much in advance 343i, but I must say that I really want a real gravity feel to the vehicle physics in general just like in Battlefield 4, what I want to say is, I want to feel the gravity when I land with a vehicle from a jumps then I want to feel the subsequent decrescendo bounces after the initial landing, and please make it super realistic, I want to feel the accelerations of each vehicles, either it’s in the air or on land, I want to feel the gravity play a role in all aerial vehicles, where going up take a toll on the engines and then accelerate just like in Battlefield, I want to see vehicles have a gravity pull when the take a fast turn specially on land vehicles (I want to be able to do wheelies, side wheelies, one wheel wheelies with a pretty aggressive wheelie balance assist, I want to be able to do drifts in corners using the E-Brake and even smoke shows with the E-Brake, etc.) and I want the aerial vehicle to have that same effect and behave like the vehicles in Battlefield 4, really their physics are awesome!

Now one thing I always wanted in Halo 5 Guardians is a Freaking awesome Map Editor, now 343i you can copy Far Cry 3 but please leave a little bit the Forge UI and go for a little better with the Halo Wars UI with a circular menu kind alike the Ghost Recon Future Soldier: Gunsmith menu but in a vertical way with the options at the bottom that are selectable via the different buttons and the result & previews right beside the vertical menu on the middle of the main window, also it would be awesome the keep the D-Pad options of H4, but for H5 I want to have all the option, features and effects Far Cry 3 Map Editor had but with a lot more of them, and please 343i let your mind go wilder then ours and I said it before, I want the same level of customisation of the weapons like the ghost recon future soldier gunsmith with the same style of menu but more Haloish!

Hello 343i, how are you and how is HALO doing?

First of all I would like to point out that the best Halo will have to be something that everyone love enough to go back to everyday! Now the most important thing about it is to going at it ‘‘the safe way!’’, now there is too much people who love Halo CE, and too much people who love Halo 2, and 3 and so on, now the trick would be to get all of those games (Halo 1 - Halo 4) and get the best part of them and put them in Halo 5 Guardians, now here’s the trick, From the 3 main playlists, Ranked, Social, Tactical, you would need to incorporate the Best of Halo CE & 2 for the ranked playlist, going from game types to weapons, vehicles, grenades, etc, then incorporate Halo 3 & Reach with a bit of Halo 4 for the weapons feel & AA tuning to the social playlist, this way we can have all the mayhem & fun that H3 MM & Reach Custom Games used to have, then have all of the Halo 4 awesomeness, game types (like Infinity Slayer, which should never be or define the whole Multiplayer Experience), ordnance drops, and more to the tactical playlist, think Battlefield 4 but without the classes but way bigger and with better physics, changing sandbox environment and better destructible environment! That would be the perfect Halo, period!

One thing I would like to see in Halo is being able to invade enemies bases, ships, and lands, like a reverse Firefight, where the player would get endless waves of friendly AI so support him in his infiltration mission, think of it as firefight 2.0 also I would like to see a more sophisticated Invasion game type where players could customize the amount & the genre of game types the want to add in an Invasion Match and I want also a full round of Firefight from multiple side either UNSC, or Covenant or Forerunners, etc to be able to be added in this new Invasion 2.0. as one or multiple parts of Invasion.

For the first time, I would like to be able to use the Power of Kinect 2.0 to create gestures & movements that can be use for personal Machinimas all over the World, so that the community can create awesome videos with a green screen from the game. And I would love to be able to direct & record a video from the game & do some pretty sweet video editing right from the game and I would like to be able to save that video on a USB External Hard Drive for further manipulation, and I would like to be able to stream my content right from the console that would be sweet!

The very best is coming to Halo 5, I can feel it, but in the main time, I would like to thank you 343i for making Halo Bigger then Life, now the only things that I would want to see back is the Halo Anthem & the Space Diaper on the Suit, I know you wanted to go to the Halo CE style of armors, but this style is outdated and pretty bulky in my opinion, the best looking suit was the Mark 4 and that’s what the suits needs to go back to! Thank you 343i!

as far as my understanding goes, the community is still pretty divided as to whether or not Cortana should come back, and the sides are swaying heavily towards keeping her “dead”.

That should be decided on what happens in the story and 343 we just have to wait and see. :slight_smile:

For one, it would completely ruin the emotional impact that Halo 4 had, and, it would completely ruin the Master Chief’s character development. Resurrecting characters for the sake of resurrecting them isn’t always a good idea, ESPECIALLY when the said character’s death is a catalyst for the forward movement of the plot.

Hello 343i, congratulation on your Master Chief Collection, it’s freaking amazing, it’s even better then what I was expecting for E3 2014, it’s too sweet to even believe, congratulation, but please if you could add 3 more HD Remake of Halo 2 Multiplayer map that would be fantastic!

Now the only little thing I would want to say from this picture for the HUD, is that I would want the reticle and the dots in the radar to be 100% opaque, also please bring back the Halo Reach Radar System, and if you guys find that having triangles in the radar for people above our level is either not skillful or give away a teammate orientation then change it for a rectangular or any other shape that would be more indicative of the situation, but please keep that system which is a lot more useful at understanding, because the H4 Radar system with the little arrows above and below the dots is quite confusing, that’s why Bungie in their beta test of Reach change that concept to the original Reach radar system.

I said it before, the faces of the Elites needs to be exactly as it was in the Halo Legend the Dual, that is the proper face for an Elite and remember that if their four jaws are not close and if they don’t have a tongue, the Elites cannot talk, try to talk with your mouth completely wide open and you’ll see what I mean, I don’t want to see the jaws of an Elite like the H2A Remake of the Arbiter where each jaw is like a finger with knuckles and Sharks like teeth like jaws, seriously look at face of Dracula in the film Blade 3 in the final fight between Dracula and blade, the face is almost perfect, just do it a little less ugly with all tooth vertical like a human and the faces shape more like the Reach Elite faces, but beside that the Arbiter remake is perfect but I would make the eyes about 20% bigger! I thought that Bonnie Ross said in the E3 2014 Microsoft Conference that ‘‘at 343i when we think about the Halo Universe, we think of it as a ‘Real’ place inhabited by real characters’’ I thought so! And please don’t forget about the retractable claw tooth at the end of each jaw! Thank you so much 343i for considering my thoughts!

I would love to see the Yoink medal come back but now here’s how it’s going to be perfect, make sure that you get the medal from someone else then your teammates in all modes of the game and then it will be perfect! Also I would like to see more medals that goes beyond the 40 kills in a row, and more medals for weapons that goes beyond 15 kills in a row for all major power an melee weapons, and of course I want to see a lot more melee weapons like the famous Spartan Machete that never made it to the game, a lot more land and aerial vehicles, and speaking of vehicles I want the vehicle to have really fast manoeuvrability because everything felt so freaking slow in H4, Tank was way to slow, it should be 2 - 3x faster, the Banshee felt like a super slow snail even with the boost on, the ghost could be faster, the Reach Wraith was much more fun and the mortar of the H4 one was so slow, it should get a 40% increase in speed and reduce their damage radius, same for the Tank shell!

I wanted to say that the way you guys did the knee cover protection in Halo 2 Anniversary is perfect, and it’s how it should be done, where it stays on the knee even if we are crouching, and when we stand up, the is no gap between the lower leg armor and the knee cover armor which is freaking brilliant, congratulation, you guys outdid yourselves, it’s fantastic! Now I have to ask why, why is there so freaking little armor on the Bicep & Tricep (sorry there), it’s super ridiculous like superman power, why can’t it be like the Mark 4 armor, why 343i, and also why can’t there be space diaper back with proper crotch & waist protection, there is no possible reason to remove this part of the armor, not for space issues anymore since you guys are working with blu-ray discs now, so now there is no more reason not to give Spartan proper armor and why not give Spartans lower abdomen armor too like the Iron Man armors, I’m just saying, if I was there as a Spartan I would recommend armor of every part of my body and armor for my armor if you see what I mean, remember think Mark 4 Armor for future references!

And one more thing for the sound in Halo 5 Guardians, I heard that Kazuma is the composer for H5, I hope Tajeen is still the audio director, one very important thing Kazuma, I hope you learn & understand very well Marthy O’donnell style of composing, his texture, his sense of music and most of all the purpose of his choosing each instrument to express which emotion and which character he wants to show, now each sound mean something in the book of O’donnell and each rhythm & pattern reflect something specific, either an emotion, a character, and event or a situation that will reflect the core of what he want to express, I hope you understand that very clearly! Of course you will have your own taste to the mix, but please don’t make apples taste like oranges, and also please make sure that the Halo Anthem is in there forever, if it’s not there, you can consider packing up your things and leave, I know I am being arsh right now but it’s just the reality of it, for the remake of the anthem, may I suggest a little traditional Japanese taste to it, but a very little one with of course the electric guitar, that would be awesome, and please no Dubstep, thank you! I really hope Tajeen is still in the H5 team, please Taj, keep the sound fresh as in the Halo 2 Anniversary Multiplayer at E3 this year and please be ready to let Marty be the lead director for the next Game with you as his assistant with your awesome sounds concepts but please make them real!

Hello 343i Hello Bravo, how are you doing these days, today I would like to bring some epic ideas to the franchise!

First, this is an idea that will bring Halo to a whole other level of competitiveness in MM, ‘‘have the winner circle’’ what I mean by that is imagine your trying to have the best competitive experience in MM, how it works is whenever you win in the top half of the party you get match-up with other winner of the same skills only that have win in their top half of their party and using this process you end up matching with only the very best of your skill level in this special playlist in the ranked section that would be called ‘‘Lone Wolf Winners’’ or ‘‘Team Slayer Winners’’ etc and it would be super competitive.

I really wanted to see Halo be like Battlefield 4, let me explain, I wanna see a classless Halo again were everyone starts the same with an AR & Magnum with 2 Frags, but instead of having weapons spawn everywhere all the time, it would spawn once at their original place, then there would be resupplies being drop from Pelican air drop to few main areas on the maps (8 - 12 locations) that would have a lot but limited amount of ammos & weapons, also grenades and equipments, and only the selected team can retrieve whats in the package unless the other team can blow the package open with a few grenades, then the vehicles would have actual gravity responses to them, and the scale of the maps would be greater than B4, also squad spawning would be the best thing to do on a multi-objective games like B4 and being able to see the whole maps and switch to the Kill-Cam and to where you died on the fly! I want to be able to exit a vehicle like B4 jumping out Fast and get back in fast to do a fast Skyjack or a mid-air aerial vehicle kill with rocket outside an aerial vehicle then reentering my aerial vehicle!

I want more epic environment destruction then B4 also I want a lot more vocal Easter Eggs in MM Maps like in the Pit in H3, I want to be able to lay down flat on the ground by holding the Crouching button but in Halo it will be limited to twice per minute, I would like to see more spree base medals for power weapons and new ones for sprees above 15 kills and I have to have Dual Wielding back in H5 and separate sensitivity for Axis Y and X!

Hello 343i, how is it going, hope you’re doing well on the MC Collection, and congratulation to you Bravo for being the new community manager.

First things first, I love Halo but I have this huge problem with Halo being too cartoonish and not being enough real looking, let me explain, yeah the new graphics & lighting engine is great but it’s not as real and authentic as Battlefield 4 let’s be honest here, what I want to say is that in a scale to 1 - 10, Halo 4 is like a 8.4 and Battlefield is 9.6, and I specially mean this about the H4 environments, dusts & explosions, what I want to see in H5G is environments that looks blindingly authentic to the real life environments exactly like the Halo Reach Trailer ‘Deliver Hope’ this would mean a new level of Hi-Fidelity and stunningly real & accurate sounds that does not sound gimmicky nor bulky, and authentic sound that we have always loved (Noticed Tajeen ?), except for the H4 Weapons that sounded Phenomenal except for the Rocket Launcher with its squeaky mechanism upon each shot, the FRG with its huge & bulky launch mechanism that is just too loud and tank proud, the magnum pistol which is too underwhelming & not proud to be a pistol sound (the best one was Halo CEA pistol) and the worst is the Beam riffle in H4, just bring it back to H3 sound and it will be fine, and the Sniper Riffle is a little off to me the Best One was the one in Halo CEA! But the amazing weapon sounds goes to the BR (It’s a Classic), AR, DMR, Needler, Rail Gun, the entire Promethean arsenal, Storm Riffle, Carbine and the Spartan Laser!

IMO the best Halo would be a halo with H4 graphics but Halo Reach characters Hi-Fi Representations except for the Brutes (the H3 & Halo Wars ones were perfect and the Jackals of H4 were the best and bring back Reach Skirmishers), and also the Physics and explosions of Reach, and it would also have Halo Reach vehicles and their physics but with H3 bounciness to them, it would have all the grenades that ever happen in the Halo universe and we would be able to carry 3 of each category like the frag, plasma, spike, incendiary, smoke, EMP, with some new ones like instant freeze which work like the incendiary but completely freeze the opponent to his death, it would also have all of the AA even the Armor Lock but it would act just like an over shield where it can get depleted with damage or two EMP blast by a plasma pistol and I would separate its EMP blast effect upon release as a standalone AA called EMP Discharge and upon activation it would take 1.5 - 2 seconds to charge and then release the EMP Blast to avoid Trollers, then it would take about the same amount of time as the thruster to recharge and be use again. Also in my perfect Halo the ranking system would be the same as H3 but without the Leveling Lock, there would be 4 main playlists in Matchmaking, 1- Ranked, 2- Social, 3 Tactical Warfare, 4 Communities Creations, the Tactical Warfare playlist would be pretty much like Battlefield 4 but without the classes, and the Communities Creations would only be creations from all communities as much as possible and it would have new maps, game types, art creations, pictures, and more every week & there would be a voting system that allow player to vote on the maps & game type after they have played each maps & game types at least 10 times and the top 5 of each categories would be part of the Double XP Weekends for one month even with those that are 343i Favorites. Also the game would look exactly like Halo Reach Trailer Deliver Hope!

343i, I can’t stand the bulkiness of how the Armor of the suits looks in H5G Beta Trailer, it’s like H4 2.0, and please take this idea out of your heads to make new armors that looks like the H1 Armor, instead use the Halo Wars Mark 4 Suit as a reference, notice how all the armor is not too bulky and is skin tight and there is a utility belt (the famous space Diaper) that have all of the ammunition to it, tell me who’s idea was to remove ‘‘the Belt’’ and let me ask you this in the animation of reloading, where does the player takes his ammunition from…, yeah the Belt, and it’s so not -Yoink!- to remove that single and epic piece of the armor, it’s like they are walking naked there please bring it back! Also I hope that in Halo 5 Guardians we can climb and hop over anything without stopping our momentum and I also want to be able to have Free Run movements like Mirror’s Edge 2 with running & jumping and running on walls, doing back flips etc. I sure hope that your Spartan Abilities will be for everyone and about movements than anything else and I hope that you have not remove the Armor Abilities for Custom Games at least because imagine the Huge possibilities!

I know it’s already too late in the cycle, but I do hope you guy’s have thought of making Spartan Ops playable offline in the MCC. Even before Halo 4 the feedback was pretty clear that this is something people wanted, and the sentiment seems just as strong, if not stronger now. It’s a fun game mode but for many of us, was severely hampered by the restrictions that were imposed, restrictions which should no longer be necessary.

Surprised this thread hasn’t been touched in a while… so, as someone who picked up HALO in the beginning, while still in the Army (unhappy with playing Clancy-ish realistic shooters), and someone with a small handful of industry experience up to present…here it goes;

MCC, The Good;

  • The framerate, by default, makes it all seem prettier, better, new, and different (Did H4 get a facelift? H3? I don’t know, but it all looks better than I remember!)
  • Halo 2 Anniversary is gorgeous. Gorgeous. …though on a personal note, somehow better graphics made Miranda Keyes less attractive… albeit more stern looking that would be fitting a C.O.
    -The Nostalgia is through the roof, for the Campaigns at least - thank you, and thank you.
  • Lots of options, unlocks, awards, rewards, and Achievements - thank you again
  • I don’t know about anyone else, but playing the old Halos again has given me a new sense of appreciation for Halo 4 which I, like some others, thought was a decent first entry off the comeback for a studio taking over, but not On Par for a Master Chief Halo game. Thank you for helping me ( and hopefully most of us) appreciate H4 more
  • While I haven’t made up my mind about the show yet, the potential is definitely there for Halo; Nightfall as I think it’s safe to say we all LOVE seeing the Halo universe fleshed out in live action as much as possible and expanded, within reason, as much as possible though don’t forget that the games are THE priority. If the games aren’t right, solid, clean, most of us probably don’t care or have a hard time enjoying any and/or all crazy features, apps, shows, and extras. …don’t forget where you came from…where Halo came from…

MCC, The Bad;

  • You know the main issue. Multiplayer/Matchmaking;
    This is not o.k. You’ve heard all the complaints, rants and raves, so, no sense going down this road again, but what sucks the most is that people complain a lot when everything or the majority is right…and now you’ve actually given them a good reason to winch, including myself as a fan from the beginning and this will take a lot of time for us to heal even after the fix. The Patch helped, but we’re nearing that reasonable patience deadline of 2-3 weeks and it’s not where it needs to be. I know you know this 343, but it had to be said again, though this time calmly.

  • Bonnie Ross’ Apology. …if you could learn nothing else from Bungie (or even Roosterteeth to pull another great example), learn the personal touch and when to use it. When something like this is going on, we don’t need or want a generic statement or apology that would be fitting of CNN (or whomever) political coverage. We’re glad there was an apology…but it really didn’t say Anything nor were there any real feels in there*. You can do* better than that. Talk like a person, not a Rep addressing a board or committee. Talk TO us, not at us, or down to us.

  • Controls; I can’t even imagine the challenges you faced while trying to find layouts to work across all titles, and regardless of what was popular then or now…a lot of the existing schemes have been changed just enough to be uncomfortable one way or the other. Again, it probably would have been a similar nightmare, but being able to set our own layouts would have probably been best and if there is a way to do so and I’m just having a special moment, it’s not easy to find and the U.I. is a little rough here.

  • User Interface; I don’t know what happened here, but feels like there were a few last minute changes or maybe one big scrap and start over that didn’t get completely integrated in time? The illustrated tiles look great… up until you select a category and get the computer readout/digital look. Either or though, pick a look/feel ladies/gents. Let’s get consistent.

  • Spartan Ops; …You know a lot of us enjoyed the SO story and missions, unfortunately, more than the H4 Campaign (which was good, but felt rushed and missed a lot of the Epic) on that last go around, yeah? C’mon guys. Spartan Ops being M.I.A hurts.

  • That -blammed- Install; I realize not everyone had this problem, but it took me about FIFTEEN hours to install fully, and that was on the 2nd try, after overnight (after stream playing H4 a bit the night prior) only yielded 40% complete. 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. Living in a house full of gamers, believe me, my internet works just fine for online gaming as well as download/uploads, no caps crap, and the house was empty on this day until late evening. There was a particularly nasty type of Salt in the Wound that H4 and then HALO, the most recently released and likely played titles…installed first instead of H2A which I actually could not play until about 11:00 pm.

…I’m sure there’s more, but this is way too long as is already, and probably highly reiterative as is, but this is the summary of the most visible issues i.m.o. As a longtime fan, I want to continue be angry with you all, but I’m not.
Awful stuff happens in gaming sometimes, whether people want to admit it or not. You’ve already lost some people, but as much as we, a lot of the remainder, hate to say it… a lot of us are still here, albeit grinding our teeth and waiting. I have high hopes (though reasonable expectations) for the Beta as well as the full release, but if this is a preview of Halo 5; Guardians, I do believe a good chunk of us will have to shake hands with Master Chief in thanks, very sadly sign our UNSC discharge papers, and part ways.

…we don’t know or understand what happened, but if it’s not all on the studio, if Microsoft did put your backs against the wall in way of time and/or budget beyond the industry norm (if there is such a thing), hopefully you now have enough ammunition to push back and get them to back off and let you do your jobs better. We also know that you are not the only guilty parties and that a lot of other studios have been struggling as well and have had likewise “troubling” releases. I personally know that these new consoles have been no cake-walk and feel your pain. If you have to delay to avoid this occurring again, please -blam-ing do. We’ll be salty, but we’ll survive. We won’t survive another release like this.

Your duty as Halo devs, is to protect humanity, (nearly) whatever the cost,
but most of us, fans, also understand that
devs and humanity are not two different things, that you are not machines, and that you are just people.

Found this thread. Seems a little old but it’s hopefully somewhere I won’t be overlooked. I have tried posting similar comments to no avail.

Well, to start, I am quite invested in Halo (you can probably tell from my presence here). I’ve played all the games, know the lore, so on and so forth. I even own a Halo community on Google+, getting close to 2,000 members (Shoutout to them). Regardless, 343 has inspired me with their fan interaction and work on Halo 5, so I wanted to share some of the stuff I have done to contribute to my own view of Halo.

I would like to take a few minutes to give a thank you to Bravo, Grim, and everyone else on the 343 team for their work on Halo 5 and Memories of Reach. (I tried to do so on that massive update thread where Bravo actually responded to some people but my comments were flagged as spam, and with all the people, I doubt Bravo saw it. To be fair, he was very busy. I was on that thread since page 5, I believe lol). Halo: Reach has to be one of my favorite Halo games and I am thrilled to see its integration into Halo 5 through Memories of Reach.

Here is something I am most proud of. This isn’t “official canon”… More of just “headcanon” for the time being, but it isn’t some wild lore-breaking nonsense (I assure you). It is more of a behind-the-scenes type of work. Something that could exist without you really being able to tell from the games. Use the link in the spoiler below.

I have been trying to replicate the GEN1 armor as much as possible with GEN2, but my current armor is as close as I can get. Now with Memories of Reach, I can get close to making the surviving team members so the world can see them post-war. I would like to see more Reach-based armor in the near future, possibly the Tactical/Recon chest and limited edition Recon helmet with the attachments. Just trying to inch my way closer to my classic look.
