I love the game, and you guys did a heck of a job developing it. More customer support would be nice, I would definitely appreciate having a more in depth conversation as a customer involving specific inquiries.

I could not of played a better Halo campaign. You found the perfect mix of gameplay and cut scene and the story really grabbed you emotionally.
I’m looking forward to Halo 5.

The only issue i have come across is the connection to the servers/ other players.
I’m Australian, and i know our broadband connections are nothing in comparison to other countries but even when competing against other Australians there seems to be a serious lag issue. I’ve looked into my own connection, and everything is working fine.

I’m also wondering if we will be seeing a from of connection filter, eg; Good connection/ fast connection like that in Halo 3 and Reach?

Also i’m really enjoying Spartan ops, the story thus far is proving to be interesting. And the playing environments, while familiar, are fun to play on.

I love Halo 4 Spartan Ops 343 did a excellent job this week on putting two multiplayer maps into Spartan Ops. Bravo! I am hoping to see more multiplayer maps come in for Spartan Ops next week. :smiley: However, I like to see File Share fixed. I would love to take screenshots or save a film however Waypoint here needs to have a Halo 4 File Browser which we don’t have yet. I hope we see that very soon. I took 3 screenshots and I like to share them with the community :slight_smile: Plus last night I was gonna save a film on a glitch which was weird on Spartan Ops. :frowning: Hope to see these fixed :slight_smile: Keep up the great work 343 and I hope we get to be Sangheili as a playable species again soon! :smiley:

Bring back elites!!! I mean really I expected 343 to do at least as good as Bungie if not better but out of all the faults with Halo 4 this is the most unacceptable! I am a dedicated Halo fan and would like to remain so but keep this up and I won’t be!

Please, for the love of all that is holy, fix the the kill cam. It’s WAY beyond broken, I.E showing the enemy not even aiming at me when i die.

Seven problems that need to be fix’d or included . Se7en:

1.Weapon blooms implemented in some of the firearms in Halo 4 (according to the community)
2. More open maps, or Forge Firefight(?) ( for big team battles and/ or for forge, possibly in any of your DLCs? Although I have not yet played 4 yet)
3. Killcam fixture (according to members of the community)
4. More Flood for Flood Mode, perhaps? (something that can be improved in the future or in later games, e.g. flood infection, combat, carrier, and pure forms.)
5.Elites (or a Covenant Firefight) in future Halo games (4 can slide), an Arbiter game, or a Forge Firefight.
6. Halo 2 Anniversary (2yrs, or 12yrs. l8tr maybe?)
7.Some more love to the community ( though I maybe wrong to say that :frowning: )

Otherwise, Keep up the good work, and hopefully I will get my hands on a Halo 4 copy soon

Thank you very well said! And yeah a little more love towards the community would be appreciated for example not treating Elite fans like second class citizens and not just ignoring us!

I really love the sabre part of Reach, so when I see Chief piloting the broadsword near the endgame I was like “YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaa” with tears of joy

so I wanna ask if you guys @ 343 have any plans on bringing this fightsim-ish gameplay into spartan ops or even make a stand along fightsim based on the halo universe?

I absolutely loved the game. It most certainly lives up to the legacy that was left by Reach and 3. Almost everything was perfect. Story was brilliant, environments breathtaking, music beautiful, and multi-player great.

I have a few misgivings, however. I may as well list here (Descending order of importance, for me anyway). There aren’t many, mind you:

The Sangheili and the Covenant - There seems to be a lack of Covenant characters, and those we do see have very little depth of character. With the exception of Jul 'Mdama. And also many of the covenant things we loved, like maps and vehicles, seem to have disappeared… I loved the fleshing out of the Sangheili in 2 and 3, Ghosts of Onyx and later books, but that seems to have gone in 4. The lack of mention of Thel 'Vadam and the seperatists was astounding, if I’m perfectly honest. The second main character to be introduced has gone, and I hope to God this does not mean he’s going to be killed off in the 3rd book of Kilo-five. I’d also like to point out the lack of Sangheili multi-player models. I have always played as an elite since my first game of Halo 2, all the way up to Reach. Without fail. But now they’re gone, something important to me is now missing from my multi-player experience.

Custom games - The amount of custom games options seems to have decreased quite a bit… And it seems to have caused quite an outcry. I was a mostly custom games player, and the loss of options has made a few of my favourite game-types unable to be made. Which is a shame. I’d also like to see file shares up and running soon, but I know actions to put it up are under way.

Forge - Reach’s forge was brilliant, no doubt about that. But some of the options available have gone missing, mostly those pertaining to accuracy when creating maps. Like zooming and “close editing mode” (I can’t remember the name of it for the life of me, but you know what I mean :stuck_out_tongue: ).

But thats really it. I can’t think of anything else I didn’t like. As I said before, Halo 4 is an astounding game. I absolutely love it. But the things I stated above dampen it a bit, sorry.

But, yeah. When I first heard the iconic piano theme from Halo 3 in 4, damn ninjas were cutting onions beneath my eyes. The ninjas struck again in Cortana’s “death” … Well, actually in most parts of the game really! xD

But 343, you have made an astounding game. You most definitely need a round of applause and a pat on the back. :smiley:

Yeah most of us are already on there, it has 600 plus signatures last I checked and well over 200 pages but some how 343 has still managed to ignore us completely and not acknowledge us in slightest way!

My personal opinion of the matchmaking aspect of Halo 4 is the best worst game of Halo ever.

I really hope 343i still reads this thread and the forums. I have a thread kicking around in Halo 4 on this but I just wanted to personally say a few words to whoever monitors this thread.

I enjoyed the matchmaking at first, but then I could see it change for me, gets redundant, I always have someone Boltshotting me and I’m Boltshotting someone else.

There is no penalty for death, I often die from someone I had just killed, finishing up his own kill.

The pace of the game has been set way too high. It honestly feels like when Infinityward imploded that 343i gobbled up a lot of their employees because I genuinely feel it plays too much like CoD. I die so fast at times it’s not even worth getting mad over, I expect to die if I go by a corner and I see two guys down a hall, I will not have enough time to back up because they both will have a DMR, and the kill time with a DMR is 1.8 seconds, so I’m dead in about .9 seconds.

Loadouts are just such a perfect idea, it eliminates the old Br/Ar votes, but it feels you have gone too far with the personal choices. The Boltshot is basically a shotgun that needs a bit more skill to use. Stickies should be considered a power weapon in for grenades and Plasma Pistol destroys driving vehicles. The combination of Plasma Pistole, Stickies and explosives makes driving anything not fun. Ruins BTB games.

Camo should always have been a power up.

Personal Ordinance degrades the game for a few reasons. It makes the games too random. When I die, 40% of the time it’s from an ordinance weapon, and there can be quite a large number on the maps. It changes the map flow from getting weapons from the spawn to instantly having them and forces a global despawn of all power weapons to like 12 seconds. It’s… Not how Halo should be. I get it has to evolve but it’s not really evolving, if it did, we would have the best parts of the previous Halos and a bunch of new and awesome stuff.

After I finish typing here I’m going to check the job openings in 343i, I know nothing will change right away, but over time things will get better and I want to be a part of that so I may help shape Halo to it’s full potential.

Halo Multiplayer NEEDS a visual, in game, numbered ranking system. It’s what blew up Halo 2 and made the Halo series the competitive giant it is today. Without a real ranking system this game has no longevity; Halo 4 will die very quickly without something to keep us playing. I’m sorry 343i but your game is just not THAT fun. Your game is not Call of Duty, no matter how much you want it to be. If you want us to play this game for 3-4 years down the line, please listen to the community and implement SOME sort of 1-50 system where we actually have to work and try for it. If I’m in fear of losing my rank and actually put in the time and effort to get better at the game so I can perform better than you have succeed. Simple as that.

At this point I’m not too concerned where it can be found, I just want a ranking system that actually reflects my skill. None of this CoD style “the more you play the higher your rank” bullsh*t. Give us a 1-50 number that we earn by winning games and forfeit by losing games. And make sure we can see approximately how many wins we need to rank up.

If 343i can just do this one simple thing, I guarantee that the community will be interested and continue to play this game for 3 or 4 years own the line.

This isn’t such a good idea because now when I play Halo 3 and it glitches out or if people are hacking the game I am the one that loses rank and that is not fair! I like the system where if you quit you simply do not get the points from that game I think that is fair.

Hi 343i, its been a long time I hope your doing great!

I would like to mention that Halo 4 is the best Halo thus far, excellent & amazing campaign, awesome sound (really I would keep and cherish Tajeen and put him in a VIP Studio room with his own sauna & massage room) really the sound is fantastic but in the next games I would not make the Ghost sound so weird like that but instead I would make it sound more realistic with more details in the high end of his sound spectrum and beef up the low end and put a puch to it (because it sounds kind alike the Ghost went to a ‘vocoder’ sound effect just to make it more like a ‘fuzzy sound’) same for the Plasma Pistol and I would make the warthog sound a lot more beefy in the low end sound. The weapons sound supreme and are very well balanced. The visual effects are awesome too and well done!

Now for the not so great parts!: First I’d like to talk about the theater mode, who ever decide to put recent history of played games and the ability to save the recently played games in the file browser alone need to get fired, really, I mean I understand that you need the game to look clean & professionnel but doing this was inevitably wrong and a really bad judgment, because of this I lost my first game ever on Xbox live and I’m sure many of the community lost some important games in Xbox live, I would suggest giving a patch to fix that urgently. Second, why is it that we cannot save or view Spartan Ops games, really its sucks, please make a patch for that too, I’m sure that many have told you about this issue so please make it happen thank you!

Third, I found the vehicles a little bit hard to take down, I’d say they should be 10% to 20% easier to kill but the tank & wraith should stay the same and they both should have the same rate of fire where the Wraith should fire a little faster and have a faster motar travel time with a little smaller damage radius! Also I found that there are not enough vehicles in the whole game, there should be at least 3 more vehilce like the falcon, the chopper, the prowler and the Spectre, there should be a covenant version of the Falcon, really the lack of vehicles is a major factor in Halo that reduce the whole Halo feel & experience in the game, I’d say that there should be a major vehicle pack of 4 or 5 vehicles that would be free or so as ‘a thank to the community gift for thrusting and loving 343i’ please soon because it would really boost Halo 4 popularity and in my opinion the Mammouth should be a playable vehicle in matchmaking kind alike what the Elephant was in Halo 3 in huge maps like Sandtrap for Team Slayer and CTF.

Also I would like to point out that Halo is strategy & skill game and in its core it should stay the same. IMO Infinity Slayer should have kept contiuous weapons spawn like in Halo 3 because it keeps strategy in the game and it should also have random weapons drop and have ordonance drops and most importantly have more grenades on the map like Halo 3 and still have the grenades in random & ordonance drops and infinity slayer should be one of the gametypes in team slayer & BTB base games & not all of them, also I would make sure that at least one or two grenades would drop off dead people, I know you want the game to look much more clean but I remember in Halo 3 where there would be lots of grenades laying on the ground for your enjoyment which make the game super fun, now in Halo 4 you don’t even drop even one grenade when you die (there should be at least one or two grenade drops per death) and the weapons that you drop dissapear in like 10 or 15 sec. which is totally ridiculous and totally annoying, really it take out the Strategy, Skill & Fun out of the Gameplay and it take out of Halo feel to it, Please fix that and put it back the way it was in Halo 3 or at least like I just mention.

I also wanted to mention some things about the AAs, it is better than what was in Halo Reach but I wanted to mention that you did it great for Sprint, it is the way it was suppose to be and for everyone, congradulation for that, the jetpack’s really annoying because it lacks time, it should be 2 to 3 sec. longer and the burst should be 20% to 30% faster and it should not loose all of their burst power when touching wall or something but instead we should bounce on it like a tennis ball and it should take no less than half a sec. when you release the jetpack to regain the full lifting burst power of the jetpack when reinitiated periode, I know that you take MLG players opinion very seriously but IMO you take their opinions too preciously like its pure gold instead of enough of the average community players Opinion (and I consider myself as above average to semi-pro), IMO the AAs should be more adapt & tune for the average player and where MLG Settings should only be apply to MLG Playlists only because the MLG players Have a MLG mentality instead of an average and more common mentality, so thats why I think the AAs should in fact be more tune for the average player.

In the invisibility AA, we should be almost invisible when we are moving, which is a little more invisible than what it is right now but we should be able to see more shape & forms from then when they are actually not moving or so and keep the rest as it is, I love the fact that you’ve change the radar jamming dots to blue which make this ability much more balace with less dots and more closer together to make them look like a group which is very smart and well thought out strategy! IMO evade from Halo Reach should have been part of Sprint where using the left joystick in any direction with the run button push twice within a sec. would have engage evade just the way it was in Reach with a diameter varying between the Elite & the Spartan evade diameter From Reach depending on the distance of the ennemy with them & with an invisible meter just like Sprint in Halo 4 but the same recharging time as Reach and it would be perfect. And Thruster and Evade would have two different purposes where Thrusters would be use for long escape where you could thrust straight forward above the gaps of the top bridges in Haven with a timer of 1 sec. per use & a recharge rate of 3 to 5 sec. where you could control the direction of the thrust in any direction even in circle like in the game Vanquish and Evade would be use for short escape and would have two uses per timer and would not be able to go across a gap & would drop and it would be use by everyone in conjonction with Sprint and it would be perfect.

For Hologram, it is awesome that the Holograms can -Yoink!-, awesome job there 343i, but IMO it should be able to do much more than this, whenever you have the Hologram AA there should be Hologram Reticule around your reticule kind alike the FRG Reticule but bigger about 20% to 30% just to be able to lock-on better to targets and ‘my my’ the possibility here are great, Holograms should be able fake shoot an ennemy and circle around him as if the ennemy was his radius point and even strafe around him, the Hologram should be able to perform assassinations where the ennemy would enter the assassination annimation while being assassinated but would not die at the end and not even lose any shield too (he would go beserk on what just happen to him), imagine the possibilities in MM and Spartan Ops, but in Spartan Ops they would assassinate the ennemies, plus the assassination annimation would not end even if the meter of the Hologram would be depleted in both MM in Spartan Ops, that would be awesome! Also imagine if the Holograms could also throw grenades where we could see the visual explosions but without the damaging effects and imagine if they could be able to even send out their own Holograms as bait, that would be mind blowing but of course at the expense of a faster Hologram meter depletion, imagine the possibilities here they are endless!

The Auto sentry is super sweet, thanks for adding my idea its really well appreciated, the regeneration field should be boost up a little about 20% to 30% because I remember in Halo 3 how it was difficult to kill someone in it and it should remain the same so it might be a skill combat athing again. Promethean vision is well done & balance.

One of the big problems for me right now is the Ghost. It’s relatively useless now for a few reasons.

1)Increased radar makes it easier to jump over and avoid.

2)The ghost flips end over end way too easily.

3)Plasma pistol in loadouts can really grind my bones, not only for the ghost but the 'Hog as well.

I will make a failtage demonstrating how useless it is compared to all other games… Just today I had 4 enemies in a general row in Complex and every single one of them jumped over me with ease, and in the same game I ran into an enemy and ended up pushing them instead of splattering.

A fix would be to make the ghost more stable and increase the splatter region of the ghost to about 80% or so of the jump height of a spartan. (Meaning if they jump and are only at 80% of their jump height, they get splattered).

Right now it feels like you can jump well in advance of being hit and avoid it, or even jump right before and still avoid it.

And I’m not complaining for the sake of complaining on this. If nothing else, I should be considered a halfways decent expert on this. I loved using the ghost in Halo 3 and risked it in Reach even though you had a 50-50 chance of being armoured locked, and have even been featured in Anoj top 10 splatters at #2 place.

The ghost isn’t the same and deserves a nice buff considering how easy it is to kill with team shooting, heck, I can solo shoot a ghost in some cases.

The last bit of my griping is the loadouts. Stickies should be dropped to 1 per loadout. In BTB it’s so easy to EMP a hog with a plasma pistol and double stick double kill.

Plasma pistol should be dropped from loadouts in BTB.

Ordinance should be limited to SAW, Shotgun, Sticky Detonator and power ups on BTB and should focus more on regular weapon drops and decrease the despawn time of weapons to like 20-30 seconds.

Whoever determines armour abilities should think about making Camo a power up instead of a ability.

Respawns should not be instant, it just leads to careless players just throwing themselves at the enemies.

About the halo 4 specialization code give aways, my old email was associated with my GT but i forgot its password and now i am unable to check if i got the code.I made that email in 2010 and i never thought i would use it until now.So i made a new email, and put my contacts from xbox/microsoft linked into their.I made this new email today on Dec.1 im just asking if its possible to get a code on my new email even if i made it today. BTW i met the requirments,any other suggestions?, or i will just have to wait until they release all the specializations for everyone.
