I would love to see more choices in the Team Snipers playlist. In particular I would love to see Atom, Asylum, and Pinnacle come back.

I have something that will blow your mind once more!!!

Now imagine this your in a fight against an hunter in campaign or Spartan Ops and you do ‘‘an amazing assassination on the hunters’’ that’s one, second after you’ve killed them you could take either the hunter shield for your own to be used with a pistol class of weapon or you could take the arm mounted FRG that would have drop off, as your own gun and could use it against your ennemies, how awesome this would be huh?

Also, and I’m not finish here, how sweeet it would be for the confirmed hit ‘‘X’’ marker logo around the reticule to expand up about 3 or 4 times the original lenght for semi-automatic weapons like the Battle Riffle and machine guns like the Saw & the SMG etc. so we might know which of the three buttets hits his target, like if only one bullet hit the target only the original lenght of the confirmed hit marker would appear, if two bullet hit the target, the marker would expand up to twice its size and if three bullet hit the target the marker would expand up to three times its size and so on up to four times but if one bullet misses the marker would dissapear and reset to its original size if another hit is confirmed and it would last for about one second if no shot is fired, now how awesome this would be for all types of weapons:)

Also how awesome it would be to have faster reload speed depending on your killing sprees, for instance if you have a killing spree, your reload time is about 3 - 5% faster and for each additionnal 5 kills that you do without dying you get about 3 - 5% faster reload time on random and it would reset each time you die and the top speed increase would go up to 25 - 30%, that would push player to stay alive more often and would push the game into a more competitive gameplay, now imagine how awesome this would be to have that feature with the (tap) back button to U-Turn in a skilled match, imagine how much fun this would bring in an awesome gameplay!

I like those graphic in Halo 4. You’all doing a good job! Thank you, and I will return… eventually with an exhaustive report of my feedback. This is just the summary.

Hi 343i, I think I’ve said that earlier but I’ll say it again!

I know that you want a faster selection for the MM in Halo 4 but in my opinion:

  1. There should be time after the goal of the match has been reach and here how you gonna make it perfect, add a least 9 seconds after the the game is over which is 2 seconds more than what Bungie did with its 7 seconds of oblivion awesomeness in MM after the game is over to allow everybody to go nuts before the blackout, and the blackout should come instantaniously at the last frame! 9 Seconds because its 343i day on the 9th, it would be just to celebrate & honor 343i at each & every awesome game!

  2. The victory sign at the end of each game is a really nice touch but here is how its gonna be perfect, make it appear 25% smaller right above the reticule at the end of each game and 50% transparent so it might not block the view too much somehow then 1 second later make it shrink and move right under the Shield Meter just like the ‘‘Welcome’’ announcement at the begining of each game in Reach.

  3. Once the Victory sign appear, make sure to not freeze the gameplay because it would feel too much like this very popular game series that everybody have been comparing Halo 4 since the moment we had the first glance of its gameplay and I Super Hate to compare it to this series, ‘‘COD’’, now Halo always had that 7 seconds of freedom after the game over of each match and I don’t see why we should be changing it because it would be catatrophic and it would change the feel of Halo forever, I call those 7 seconds but now 9 seconds, the ‘‘Freedom of 343I’’.

Also one thing that should stay the same is the Radar from Reach, I love the idea of putting miniature versions of vehicles in the radar which is a super awesome idea in the game, (thank you for taking one of my ideas) but having ovale arrows pointing up for people above you and ovale arrows pointing down for those below you is super confusing in Halo 4, I really prefer it the way it was in Reach where the dots would become arrows facing in the direction that the opponents are looking & going for people above you and lighter dots for people below you which was and still is an awesome concept, now the only thing I would say to that is that it would be better to have a double level for people that are above you like if they are one floor above you it would be a thin ovale dot pointing in the direction that the player is looking & going and if the players are two floor above you or higher it would be an triangle arrow pointing in the direction that they are looking & going for, also I would love to see the height of those floors be about 20% smaller than what was in Reach so that we might have a better reference of the opponent position according to the Radar and also keep the miniature representations of the vehicles in the radar which was a brilliant idea, Ty!

Hi 343i, here I am again with another Halo Fix!

First I’d like to talk about the stats, I would love to be able to see our own annimation when ever we pull out our own stats or someone else stats after a game, I mean like you could take an annimation from a gameplay or make your annimation via kinect, a 5 to 10 seconds annimation instead of having just a pose. Second I would love to see the vehicles that we destroyed and all other factions ennemies that we killed in the MM stats that would be awesome and also be able to save the stats with a Mp3 recording of all the open chat that accoured for each team with each game that we save on our console that would be mind blowing!

Third, I would like to talk about forge art, I would love to have a seach option in the game for forge art that we could incorporate in Maps and other forge arts, where anyone could save a forge art, upload it to the community file share which would have an unlimited amount of space or at least 25 000 space for different forge art where it will be first judge and approve by you guys at 343i for quality, originality, moral, etc. then it would be place in the community file share for to be judge by the community on a 1 to 5 stars of quality, originality, moral, etc. for the best spots in the 25 000 spaces that are left in the community file share, that would be super great!

Then I would like to talk about the new ranking system, in my opinion this new system should have different requirements for different game variants, for example team kill & team assist is more relevant in team base game variants then in lone wolf game variants and staying alive with less assist medals is more relevant to lone wolf game variants then team slayer game variants you see what I mean, then one major thing that I think was not in the ranking system or stats score, or BPR before is the vehicle kill, the amount of vehilce that you kill in the whole game and your average vehicle kill per death with the kind of vehicle that we kill, also here’s a new factor to take in great consideration is the lethality of a vehicle, I mean the more that vehicle kill opponents the more it is suppose to be considered as an higher threat & value to the ratings of the ranking system, stats score & BPR of our gamer service profile, this means that the harder it is to kill & the more kills that this vehicle has with also its category of vehicle (Light, Medium, Large vehicle, etc.) the more points we should get when we takes down that vehicle for our ranking system, stats score & BPR!

Hi 343i, I had some new ideas about Halo4,

I would like clearer Armor Abilities Logo, remember in Reach Beta, the AA Logos weren’t very clear and was quite confusing, well in what I see in Halo 4 its pretty much the same thing, they need to be crystal clear and big & obvious logo like in Reach so we don’t get confuse, thruster AA is kind of useless if we can’t get further on each launch, it should be about 20% further and have at least 2 launch before deplation here’s what will make it perfect have three seperate launch before depletion then make sure we stay in FPS so we can continue our firefight even while moving and then it will be awesome because compared to Evade, it doesn’t provide much mobility and I definetly would prefer Evade!

Grenade throws should be in my opinion like in the first Halo, glorious and further, about 30% further because its ridiculous how a Spartan throws a grenade specially in Mjolnir Suit, here’s how you will make it perfect, if the player throws the grenade completly horizontal (180 Degrees) or higher then the power of the throw is 30% stronger then normal but if he throws it below the horizontal level then the player throwing power is normal and then it would be perfect.

Also for the AI of the Auto-Turrent AA, please make sure that it doesn’t fire at either us or our allies whenever we are in direct line of fire between the Auto-Turrent and the opponent, also the Light Riffle need a tad more assist to the shot within the reticule kind alike the BR, also the Boltshot needs a little more juice to make it feel more like the plasma pistol and its overcharged fire burt need a auto-targeting system like the plasma pistol so that it can disable shields & vehicles a about 1 sec. longer then the plasma pistol with a little more range overhaull in the gun and then it would be a perfect gun. Also I would love to see a super jump AA in Halo 4 where it would use the AA button to charge the jump power so we can jump higher at different heights (upto 2 -3 floors) depending on how long we hold the AA button (upto 1 sec.) every 5 - 7 sec!

I need the needle riffle, focus riffle, brute shot, mauler, concussion riffle, a brute sniper, a brute pistol, a brute turrent, a brute shotgun & rocket laucher and a brute semi-automatic precision riffle and then I pretty much would be good for the Halo 4 weapons! I would also like to have the Hornet, the Chopper, the prowler, the Spectre, and the Elephat back at least for the vehicles and what would make the vehicle setion perfect in Halo4 is a small, medium, large aircraft and a small, medium, large land vehicle with a thank for all factions, UNSC, Covenant, Brutes, Forunner, and then it would be great! Also in Grifball, the scoring needs a explosion, thats whats Grifball is all about, plus Sarge wouldn’t be so proud if Griff would not die at each scoring and the community either and it needs instant respawn for everyone to their initial spawn so that we can make the game fair for everyone!

PS:Please don’t make Cortana die in any of the Halo games, medias, books, side stories etc. or I will litterally leave the Halo franchise forever and I think that you will looooooooooooooooooose a lot of faithful fans too if she would die, and specially Master Chief too! Make them retire or something but let them stay alive!

Hi 343i, hope your having a great time making Halo 4!

I love what you do, its amazing and I’m so excited, I think that it will be the best Halo yet!

I wanted to let you know that I would prefer the AR about 20% more accurate & powerful with a little bit more range, but I would specially like to have customisable belts like in Halo 1 where Master Chief had his belt & I specially would love to have that belt and many other ones, also it would be great to have that chest piece that Master Chief got in Halo CEA instead of the original Mark 5 chest piece, let’s just call it someting sweet specially for him.

I would also love to have many shoes & hip packages that we can select for our Spartan, in my opinion the ranking system should have both an experience meter system and a skill system just like Halo 3 where the experience points back then had meaning and would become the battlefield experience point system (basically the same experience point as in H3 but with a twist with three different numbers, one for the number of matches you’ve played, basically the Halo 3 experience point system, second for the numbers of victory you’ve had & third the number of succesful field assignements that you did like objective that you’ve won, like territories, bomb games won, basically anything related to team objective that you have won and also your achievement) & experience point bar system like Reach and the skill system of Halo 3 as the new & improve skill system for Halo 4 and MM would select matches by the skill that you have like in Halo 3 and would rank up via your skills like Halo 3.

Also in my opinion, the binary riffle should have the same reticule in both when you zoom in & when you zoom out, because its a Sniper weapon, and since when did any weapon in the Halo franchise had two different reticule, this isn’t Gears of War, sorry there, but I think that it needs to be regulated, I know that this was one of your builds and its not the final version, but you guys are doing an awesome game!:slight_smile: Also in my opinion, I would like to mention that it is extremely important to see both weapeon that we carry in the HUD specially when we carry a turrent so we might know what decision we will do next if we are being attack by ennemies and I would like also to mention that it is extremely important to have much more melee weapons then the gravity hammer & the energy sword, I would like to see both UNSC & Forunner have a Melee weapon and I would love to see the Spartan Sword get introduce in this game, thanks!

Also it would be great to know which grenade is being thrown at us whenever we see the grenades in the circular grenade waypoint in the HUD, I mean it would be great to see if its a frag or a plasma or an EMP grenade, and I would had that it would be great if the EMP grenade could stick too, also I would sooooooooo freaking love to see the Spike and the incendiary grenades come back because it would be so freaking awesome! Also in a AA I would love to have an Auto-destruction AA where whenever we die the suit would explode instantly or within 3 - 5 sec. after we die with a range of a plasma grenade or a bomb that would be so freaking awesome! I would so love to see the flame thrower back and I would love to see bodies burn like in Gears of War where the whole body would change color & would become that living & burning coal, thanks!

In my opinion the FRG should be able to lock to aircraft too just like the Banshee, and I would love to see the Missile launcher back so that it can compete with the Plasma Launcher so that we could have a UNSC weapon that can lock on land vehicles too. I see that so far the Forunner automatic weapons lack a little bit of juice & range like the suppressor, it would be great to have a machine gun weapon in the Forunner arsenal and I think in my humble opinion that the scattershot should be a little less powerful than the E3 build but having the same exact range or a little less! Also I think that the overhaull thickness of all reticule is a little too thin, it would be great to have them all as thick as it was in Halo 3. Also I wanted to mention that whenever we die, it would be cool if we could see in 360 degrees around us because I’ve died many time before and weren’t able to see the fight properly because of restriction and specially in campaign I couln’t do it at all, its just to remain aware of your surroundings & the fight that is going on out there for a more strategic stand point, thanks!

Hi 343i, I bet that your doing the final 100 m until the end, I would have just some concern:

It would be great to change the Guass Warthog reticule to its original one. Bring back evade and pleaaase make it so you can evade three times before depletion, also how about whenever a promethian die we can take their Melee weapons too that would be great

Also it would be great to have a Waypoint over the Auto-sentury AA so we can know whenever its from an ally or a foe, and also please make sure that it doesn’t fire on us or any allies in a firefight even if we’re in between the Auto-sentury and an ennemy.

I would so love to see the Chopper, Prowler, Spectre, Hornet & Elephant come back and I would love to see the Brute shot, Mauler, Needle Riffle, Grenade Launcher, SMG come back, also I would love to see as new weapons the Reaper Brute sniper, a brute pistol, a brute Rocket Launcher, a Brute Semi-Automatic weapon, a brute Missile Launcher that can lock onto targets, a Brute Turrent, and a Brute Aircraft, tank and that would be Awesome!

To Kevin Franklin, Trust me the ‘‘U-turn/Scoreboard’’ Button need to be implemented, where you just tap the Back button for a U-Turn and Hold the Back Button for Scoreboard, its easy! Also it would be great to have seperate sensitiviy controls for both the X & Y Axis in the controllers options.

Also I just wanted to mention that Halo 4 is a Blast, Always keep listening to your community because its the key for an awesome success. By the way, I wanted to congadulate all of you at 343i for making such an awesmome game, and Tajeen & your team, the sound of Halo 4 is sooooooooooooo freaking awesome from weapons to vehicles to explosions, everything is so refreshing, Kenneth Scott & your team, the visuals are amaizing and soo vivid, I love it, it brings so much life into the game, ps: next game please don’t make the armors that weird but please instead make them more Haloish, Kevin Franklin & your team, the War Games are soooo refreshing & awesome, I love what you guys do, I hope that you’ll stay as lead designer of multiplayer games for a long while, thanks for incorporating a lot of my ideas in the game and I know that they are not only my ideas but also the community’s ideas, to the lead campaign designer & his team, I love what you did from what I’ve been able to see from the campaign, its amaizing and really realistic keep it on & awesome, to the Mocap team and all the actors that make this game an awesome success I salute & thank you for such dedication, passion & talent you’ve put into this, its trully remarkable, also to 343i thank you so much for Halo 4 and Happy Halo 4 Launch Day in advance, take care everyone!<3

All I can’ currently say is… Halo Legends 2(Small general discussion thread) and Halo Wars 2! :slight_smile:

After playing Reach today I wanted to express my hopes for Halo 4’s playlists.

There’s a few problems with the current playlists, we have a choice between:

3 4v4 playlists. Vanilla which is camo and armour lock central which spawned TU, which is now mostly populated with inheritors and Arena. That right there is an issue for me due to me having to choose between teams that will most likely stomp on us or bad bloom and stickies flinging off of AL users and into my face.

5v5 playlist. All objectives (no complaints), but gets very repetitive and you often run into kill farmers.

6v6 invasion. Accommodates larger teams but there is always an imbalance throughout the game. Also making our first spawns be on our partner is infuriating at times due to trying to be sneaky to kill enemies/vehicles/zones, then they die and now I have a giant arrow pointing at me which precedes grenades/mortar/tank shells my way.

And 8v8 BTB. No complaints here besides too much forged world, not enough DLC and too much weighting on heavies.

Now with that said, there is not much to accommodate teams over 4-6. We are stuck with objectives and Invasion, both can be fun but also annoying. There have been many nights of annoyance over this due to bad games involving these playlists, I see much of the changes in 4 fix many of these problems but since we have not seen anything in regards of matchmaking playlists I just wanted to emphasize the need for playlists that accommodate medium sizes that include objective and slayer to keep a variety going.

It’s unfortunate that Reach had to be divided with vanilla and TU but I’m hoping that will never happen in Halo 4.

The game looks amazing and I must personally thank 343i for the effort in detail, story and visuals, the maps I’ve seen look like they will bring back some of the magic of the Halo 3 maps that I loved playing.

And here’s hoping that snipers don’t rip banshees apart anymore :slight_smile:

What about Anniversary BTB, one of the most popular and most enjoyed playlists ever? It features several remakes and no heavies at all for the players that like classic maps and no gimmicks. :smiley:

With low population and only 5 maps, two of which I hate with a passion… High Noon and Solitary are just straight up bad maps, High Noon being spawn trap central and Solitary being extremely annoying to navigate, and on top of it all, 3 of the 5 maps aren’t even designed for 8v8 games ಠ_ಠ

Now I still can’t understand why we can’t see the secondary weapons & its amno count in the HUD, and more again, I would really like to see the vehicles video in Halo 4!

By the way, I really love what you guys do for Halo 4, keep it high! XD Also I would like to see the Forunner tank like a mix of both the Wraith & the UNSC Tank where the Forunner Tank would have a dual purpose like the Forunner weapons, lets say it would have the ability fire his mortar in two opposite direction but only one side at a time with a mobility boost like the Wraith!

PS: The wraith IMO should fire about as fast as the one in Halo 2 with slightly larger damage radius then Reach & a faster projectile speed but with a little less Power, just to compete with the tank, and the tank should stay the way it is in Halo 4!:smiley:

Hi 343i, how you doing? You’ve got my approval note score of AAA+ for Halo 4!

But I would love to see the Gauss Hod shoot a little faster, then the suppressor need a little more range because it sucks hard, and for Forge I would like to be able to create a hard light bridge as long as I want that can go in spiral, curve or turn the way that I want so that we can create endless racetrack roads as long as we can imagine using only little to no budget.

Also this is for Tajeen and his team, the FRG sound awful because we ear too much of the mechanism and not enough of the blast, it just need to be balance a little bit where the blast & all the rest of the sound of the weapon need to switch volume levels with the firing mechanism, cause that weapon sound more like a heavy machinery like a bulldozer who starts working, I know you were going for a more metalic sound but it need a little more balance, just make the blast & everything else much more present and the mechanical sound of the mechanism more subtle and it would sound perfect. And the Beam Riffle sound beefy but not balance, like the weapons balance, each sound need to be balance too, specially the weapons sound, it need a well balance & clean high, a great & controlled mid thats not too moody, and a rich & satisfing low bass and everything needs to be well balanced and proportionnally well built for the occasion, effects or weaponry, etc. For the Beam Riffle it has deep & rich bass to it with very little mids and almost no high, it would be great to have about the same sound of previous version of the sound added to it but with a sweet mid range that the BR has (that everyone used to complaint about when it was muffled) and the weapon would sound perfect, please make sure that the less satisfing weapons sound & other sounds use this process with the BR sound layering technic and everything would be & sound perfect, even the explosions too! :smiley:

PS: The new sound of the warthog turrent in the Exile video sound epic & sweeeeet, its exactly the way it should be, Thanks Tajeen!XD

WELL!.. I it’s hard to wait for Halo 4 to come fast enough, but I’m curious, have we seen all weapons from all 3 factions?

Because I want my flamey friend! Sigh I will live without it but it was a fun weapon to run around with, granted I’d die more often than burning someone alive but there was some odd sick pleasure in knowing you just killed someone with the flame thrower.

And now it will be even more useful with the… Operator armour mod? The one that lets you move at normal walking speed.

And one last thing, I’m curious how the new EMP grenade works, in the podcast I heard it destroys the scorpion tank “Rips through it”, and I was curious does it work in the same fashion as the EMP effect from plasma pistol and stop it in it’s track or does it severely slows it down and damages it while still allowing some movement?

I’m curious because it might be a tad OP if it stops it in it’s tracks depending on how much damage it does and how long it’s effects last considering everyone will be able to spawn with one grenade if they so choose.

I know you are “Silent observers” here, but I’m just slightly concerned, I’m liking pretty much all changes, mostly. I’m hoping we can still flip through our teammates after death and see what they are doing.

I got an issue, lately since the latest weeks of september I been experiencing a lot of BS in Halo Reach Matchmaking, and I mean Royal BS, like people dissapearing and out of sync BS, so I was wondering can you either make the time go faster or release Halo 4 earlier, Thanks!

PS: Totally trolling here :), I know its not your fault, I just wish that I could have the game right now! Take Care 343i and hope that Halo 5 will be even more fun than all the fun Halos combine!

I made a thread on this, but it’s probably more suited to be said directly to the devs.

I just wanted to mention how awesome it would be if 343i worked with Rooster Teeth for a fails of the weak special prior to launch, maybe on Nov 5,

Just 343i digs up the best failure clips they could get from all the play testing. There must be some good ones, maybe some random bugs/glitches that make the player just shake their head, but the observer laugh uncontrollably, that’s assuming you recorded the games during the play testing.

Anyway… I think it would be awesome to see you all fail as much as the rest of us :wink:
