Hello BS Angel & 343i, how is your day, and how is the progression of the game doing? I wanted to let you know on my thoughts on the awesome Halo 4.

Now I have a great one, <mark>KEEP THE ARMOR ABILITIES!</mark>

<mark>Because in Reach I belive they weren’t properly implemented so here’s how they should be implemented in Halo 4.</mark>

Also the button on the controller should react with the push & hold system where whenever you push a button within 0.7 second, the button react upon release of that button only and not upon pushing the button and also when the button is hold more than 0.7 second the button react to its second purpose whenever it passed the 0.7 second mark, thats how I feel that it should work for the button layout.

The HUD Should be like Crysis 2 where it bounce & move with the player movement with the helmet form in the HUD where different helmet have different HUD with realistic graphic where the glass can break and where we can see dirt, dust, mud, rain etc fall on the helmet glass & HUD, also there should be a 20 bars meter for the generator or a percentage meter just like the shield meter that shows the generator status, and whenever the meter would deplete, it would stop all suit program, AAs, and equipments even the HUD for 2 seconds, even the movements should slow down to 50% and then after the two seconds the meter should restart charging with all the suit fuctions etc.

<mark>Also the Spartan would be able to use two or three different AAs at the same time, just like in Crysis 2</mark>, also be able to switch AA with allies and dead foes by holding up on the D-Pad and switch carried AA by pushing up on the D-Pad!

<mark>Armor Lock</mark>

First here’s why it didn’t make it great in Halo Reach, 1. It was invincibility, 2. it could not be sticked, 3. it was stationnary only, 4. it was offensive instead of just being deffensive.

Now here’s my suggestion on how it should be and how it should work with the controller. I belive that it should react like an overshield because at its core it is an enhancement to the shielding system, more like a 3x overshield just like in Halo 3 and behave just like in Halo 3 where it could be sticked & blast by anything, also it would allow player to move but here’s the twist that will make it great, let it be a 3x overshield when stationnary but a simple overshield whenever we start to move but it goes back to a 3x overshield or whats left of it whenever the person stop moving and go into the Armor Lock pose, also the EMP blast should be remove from this AA and put as a seperate AA alltogether just like you’ve done, Yeah, I’ve got my connection, also it should use up to 25 % of the generator and only be able to be used once for 3 seconds only every 2 seconds and then the Armor lock would be perfect.

<mark>Sprint</mark>

It was pretty much perfect, the speed and everything but the clock it should be around 20 seconds, where it automaticly recharge whenever you stop running but if you deplete the meter and the generator meter, it will reset and start the recharge after 4 seconds and have the same rechargeble time as Reach. But here is the twist that will make it perfect make it so that whenever you push the AA Sprint button a second time you go into a super burst of speed where you can go twice faster but only for 5 seconds from the start and then it deplete the meter and the third time that you press the AA bumper or whenever you hold it or use the left joystick backward it would stop the sprint, genious right, this would most certainly make it perfect!

<mark>EMP</mark>

Its just simple, whenever you push the AA button it would activate the EMP just like in the Armor Lock, one use per 5 seconds, but here is the twist that will make it perfect, you can hold the AA button and make the EMP last up to 1 or 2 seconds and it would use 10 % of the 20 bar generator in single use but the prolonged use would use 30% of the generator.

<mark>Jump pack & Jet Pack</mark>

The jump pack would be use up to twice every 5 second and would give a boost just like the jump but slightly higher and would last for 1 to 1,5 second. And the Jetpack would be the same as Reach but here is the twist that will make it great, whenever you use it, it give good vertical boost just like a jump but slightly lower and react just like the Reach jetpack but with a slightly faster thruster and it would recharge 1 second faster.

<mark>Invisibility</mark>

It should be perfectly like Halo 3 in all aspects even the timer but without the radar jammer, period!

<mark>Hologram</mark>

It should be just like Reach but here’s the twist that will make it perfect, you can activate the hologram to go to some place but whenever you hold the AA button you could change the hologram profile and switch it from offensive to deffensive to standard, when the AI in the hologram is in the offensive profile, it would attack one or many foes at the same time where he could even throw fake grenades and even give melee where each one would be a tenth in power of what it would be for a real player, in deffensive mode the hologram would attack ennemies but once they would return fire it would retreate to its point of origin so that the real player would come in for the kill and standard would be the old Reach hologram. I’m telling you I’ve played it in Duke Nukem Forever and its a great game changer but it only had the offensive mode in the game and it was super awesome and it fooled other AIs like it was a kids at chrismas day! The hologram should be use up to 30 seconds and use 30% of the generator.

<mark>Evade, its a must!</mark>

It should be a movement just like I stated in two previous entries ago!

Design feedback

The golden triangle of Halo design-pattern is guns, grenade, & melee (and vehicles).

With that in mind I would like to see how Halo would play with melee combos with different techniques, but not as glitches, as by design.

Anniversary’s new maps have not been a disappointment, both for matchmaking, forge and customs. As a serious forger, I commend you for High Noon’s brilliant forge palette. Really, more of this please; if any more DLC is made for Reach it would be brilliant to include a version of Forge World with an extended High Noon palette. I would love to see the creations people make with it.

Oh My Super God, 343i I just had the most amazing idea ever!

How about you let us in this new Forge 3.0 mode the ability to custom our assassinations!

I’m talking about letting us customise our every gestures from head to toes even facial expressions with an easy interface where our every movement can be corrected by the game engine to a natural pose and also where our movements can be capture from Kinect.

So that we could submit our creation to you and you could add then throught a weekly or monthly update to the game not only for the assassinations but for all things animations from throwing, reloading, jumping, meleeing, running, to entering vehicles, exiting vehicles, hijacing vehicles to making real live machinimas videos Red vs Blue style, imagine what the community could do, this will reborn Halo to an unprecedented & glorious level that no other game can do, this is Halo!

I would like to see firefight where you have to clear a certain area and do different tasks. Also firefight where you have time limits and things like that. I also have an idea of the mission ‘Halo’ from halo 3 where you had the warthog and everywhere was blowing up and at the same time, there were enemies shooting at you. If that was an endless survival mission and kept on getting harder and harder, it would be so cool. Also stealth firefight missions. They could introduce so much more to make it so much better.

In response to would you like armour abilities in Halo 4:
Yes, they should be tweaked and found around the map instead of spawning with them. Instead, everyone would spawn with sprint and you would replace your sprint with an armour ability.

Sprint should be default for every player to spawn with in playlists like Team Slayer, Living Dead and Big Team Battle.
Armour Lock should not make a come back.
New AA’s would be cool.

first off im going to say that the halo franchisee is by far my favorite out of all games. however i feel as a fellow halo gamer that it has been going downhill lately. this is not because of anything that is being done wrong it is because there are just to many spin offs. to back up my point think of this. halo’s 1 2 and 3 all followed and continued the diverse story of master chief and his adventures throughout the universe. however the spinoffs do not. i think the reason they are not as good is because they don’t have our beloved super soldier in them. that said this is why i’m looking forward to halo 4 as it is a “new beginning” for master chief and the halo universe. that said and done i’m going to point out a couple of game mechanics that i would like to see changed or enhanced.

1 Armour abilities. these were very ambitious and worked in some cases like sprint but not well in others.i think that sprint should just be “in” the game as in like not an amour ability but just a click of the left stick and your charging for a covenant or forerunner or precursor or whatever we will be fighting in halo 4. every thing else however should be scraped apart from invisibility and drop shield which should return as beloved pickups we all know and love from previous halo games most noticeably halo 3.

2 forge. forge is what makes halo a very unique game as it allows players to take a developer made map and tweak or change any part they like to there hearts desire. now we have all seen what forge can do between heart pounding maps to breathtaking artwork. personally i think that forge is perfect especially in reach as it expanded it greatly. but this amazing map editor tool can be taken even further. a couple of things i would like to see in halo 4 are; 1. to have a glue system where you can take any object and stick it to any other object in anyway you please. 2. a fill tool there you could choose and object (say a wall double) and hold down say the right bumper highlight an area and then once the right bumper has been reliesed that area is covered in wall doubles or any other object you desire. 3. the fx balls change the way you see things whether you use purple for a night feel or juicy for a real good color feel this is very good. this can be expanded by letting the player choose the layout of the map like if they wanted snow they can just choose a snow button and then there you go a snowy forge world. these are just a couple of things i think forge could have that would make it better.

  1. maps. just a small thing but do not put in forge made maps into the multiplayer. this is because the feel to them is strange and is very unliked amongst me and my friends when compared to proper maps.

  2. theater. this is a very helpful tool in halo for capturing your best moments in the game whether you are in multiplayer, firefight or campaign you can always know that if something good comes along and you want to share it then you can go into theater and capture that moment and share it with the community. this can also be expanded by being able to put together a little montage of clips whether it be funny fails of the week or a bunch of epic kills.

  3. firefight. this is a tough one for me as i’m not the biggest player of fire fight but i can suggest a couple of things that would make it a little more interesting. 1. put in a kind of currency system to buy more ammo guns and vehicles. 2 let the players be able to customize exactly what kind of enimeis are going to come out of the drop ship whether is be two hunters and 10 grunts or just a lonely jackle.

  4. challenges. not saying there is anything wrong with them but there has to be more. instead of just 5 daily and one weekly double that for us more frequent halo players.

  5. DO NOT PUT A LEVEL CAP IN THE GAME!!! ( i mean the one right when reach came out and i was stuck at Lt colonel for 2 weeks)

  6. campaign. and last but definitely not least is the campaign. this time round we should get an even more in depth story than in the previous halo games. especially into master chief and cortanas story. also the enemy we need to have a bigger story behind them. my personal opinion is the flood have no back story behind it.

every thing apart from these things is good and you are doing a good job with keeping up with the reach fanbase and the recent release of anniversary which was a very good game indeed. i know you guys are going to make the next installment of the halo franchise even bigger and better than the last. keep up the good work 343 we all know ur gona make the halo community happy.

<mark>I just wanted to talk about the new HUD.</mark>

Its nice and all but not yet ground braking. <mark>It should be like Crysis 2 where it can shake & move while your moving & running</mark> and best of all it should be like a lighted HUD just like, you’ve guess it, Crysis 2 and <mark>better yet there should be some animation in the HUD like, when you switch grenades only the select one is in first and the others switch backward as the first one is being selected</mark> and <mark>don’t forget the grenade priority, matter in fact don’t forget the priority menu in the option menu for everything</mark> (like grenades, weapons, AAs, equipments, vehicles, etc…, where we can select up to 5 elements in each category as priority for when we pick them up or select them, which we can activate on/off) or <mark>even when we go to pickup elements with the right bumper, make it so we can select what we want to pickup by holding either X,Y,A,B with the bumper for different elements.</mark>

<mark>Also in the HUD, I would like to see as animation, the incoming fire arrow in 3D so it can show us in 3 dimensions where the incoming fire is coming from</mark> and not just a quarter circle arrow that only rotate and show up, down & left, right, that would be awesome and <mark>don’t forget to make the reticule completely opaque and the bloom slightly transparent so that we can differentiate them easily and make it so that the bloom never goes outside the reticule.</mark>

For the new HUD, <mark>I’m so proud that you went with my idea and go with the Halo Legend ‘‘the Prototype’’ HUD</mark> even thought it was your idea in the first place but <mark>I would like to see the entire HUD go 3D where the HUD would look like an entire 3D interface that has Great Animation</mark> in it and that float around in the HUD and that is a like a flashlight lighted HUD.

<mark>Also have color coded warnings, alert and messages pop in the HUD</mark>, like when the shield meter goes down, I would love to see it not only goes bright red but also expand as an animation with a big capital warning sign in the middle flashing. <mark>Also Make the weapon count like Halo 3 again where each weapon had its own bullets count to avoid confusion between weapons and make it slick and stylish.</mark> <mark>Also I would like to see the core meter just like Crysis 2 energy bar at the bottom right, right under the team kill count so we may know how and when to use the AAs & it should be used just like Crysis 2 system, and trust me when I say that we need AAs in Halo 4,</mark> because it is really a game changer when it is Well introduced, because if you introduce it well in the game just like I’ve said three post ago, you would love it and everybody would love & enjoy it too, just try it in your intranet testing parties, you’ll see.

And last but not least, <mark>I would love to see something unexpected in the new HUD</mark>, where it could be a tool, a new option in the suit that relate to the HUD <mark>and obviously some real time suit diagnostics and damage report that shows where in the whole suit there is a malfuction, a breach or leak of fluids or oils etc.</mark> and a <mark>real time repair diagnostic and bypass function</mark> that helps the player achieve what they are suppose to do or helps him by at least not get in his way somehow or direct him to its emergency counter part near him somehow.

<mark>Also very important, I would like to see a 3D Radar where everything in the radar end up being in a miniature 3D model in a 3D Radar Sphere where you can see not only whats in front & behind you but what above and under you in 3D, that would be so awesome!</mark>

<mark>Also have that Awesome Skull that switches weapons, equipments, AAs, & vehicles sound FX by human sound FX (Like Pew pew pew!) in Halo 4 that would be Super Awesome!</mark>

Ashamed to say the topic I made for these suggestions died so I’ll post them here cause I feel they’re great.

So a lot of people feel that most automatics are just copies of the AR. I’m going to try to suggest how a few Automatics could be created around the AR with noticeable differences. If you have any feedback or want to suggest your own changes or weapons feel free to do so. (I’m comparing these to the H3 AR BTW.)

  1. This gun would be slightly weaker than an Smg but have a similar range. However it would have a small push-back affect. Not enough to push someone back if they are walking towards you but enough to slow them down drastically. Good for taking out CQC power weapon users. (It doesn’t have recoil BTW.)

  2. Slightly weaker than an AR but it has a scope, smaller reticule, and smaller spread. It would be niched medium range.

  3. Projectiles that bounce like the spiker. It is weaker than the AR a little but if a rebounding projectile hits someone it does extra damage. This would be maybe the most skillful Automatic to use since you would have to shoot it as if you were doing a grenade bounce.( I know it doesn’t make sense that rebounding projectiles do extra damage but w/e. Maybe it could have something to do with timing or heating.)

  4. Weaker than AR but has 2 firing modes. One is good on shields the other on health. It takes a split-second to switch between modes though. But when you switch the modes accordingly it kills faster than the AR.

Awesome Idea, also 343i, I would suggest to have different burst modes like a 2 shot burst, a 3 shot burst just like the BR, a 5 and 6 shot burst depending on the weapons choosed.

I would also advise to have different range like 5 being a sniper range, 4 a single shot weapon like the DMR but less longer than a sniper, 3 being the range of the Halo 3 BR, 2 as the range of medium to short range weapon and 1 being a close quarter range weapon.

Also you could make projectiles not only bounce of the floor from a acute angle but here’s the twist that will make it awesome, make the projectiles that bounce off the floor explode and bounce like a blast of mini projectiles and the damage power increase slightly because of the amount of hight velocity mini projectiles just like a shotgun but much less powerful but slightly more powerful than a regular bullet.

You could do weapon combination like:

Single & Burst shot weapons with attachments like a shotgun, a grenade launcher, a combat knife, a crossbow with explosive arrows, a handgun etc…,

1- Range 4, single shot with an automatic mode of a range of 2.

2- Range 3 Burst of 3 shots mode with a single shot mode of range 4 like the new BR that you’ve made.

3- Range 2 Automatic riffle with a 2 shot Burt mode range 3.

4- Range 4 single shot with a 6 shots Burst mode of a range 2.

5- Range 3 Burst of 4 shots with an automatic mode of range 2.

6- Range 4 Burst of 2 shots with a burst of 4 shots mode of range 2 .

7- Range 3 Burst of 3 shots with a grenade launcher of a range of 2.

8- Range 4 single shot with a shotgun Range 1 or a grenade launcher Range 2 or combat knife Range 1 or a crossbow with explosive arrows Range 3 or 4 or a handgun like the Magnum.

ETC…

That would be Freaking awesome to have not only different mode of firing in the same weapons but also have combination of a riffle with a grenade launcher or a shotgun or a sniper or a knife on the end of the gun or a crossbow with explosive arrows at the end of the gun or a handgun like the Magnum.

Hey BS Angel & 343i, I would love to have very soon new infos, pictures, making of, something even if its very little of Halo 4 thank you!

I wanted to talk about something important to me, splattering bodies, <mark>I would love to see in Halo 4 that when a Spartan body or any body with sufficient body mass get thrown away by an explosion or a vehicle like the Warthog, be able to kill somebody upon contact depending on the speed of the splattering or at least get some significant damage</mark>, that would be awesome!

Also I would love to see some minor changes to the Spartan Laser, its good & all as it is but here’s the twist that will make it awesome, <mark>I would like to see the laser pointer take shield down by a quarter before the firing and even be able to kill people with extremely low health, explode fusion coil from distance by overheating them etc… and the pointer would not use any amno count, it would be kind of as powerful as the plasma pistol in Halo 3. And also make every shot take only 10% of the amno count just like Halo 3</mark> <mark>and make it so that we can hold the firing mechanism by holding the trigger button as long as we want, no countdown for the holding</mark> and please don’t overdo this weapon because it is already great and with the changes that I’ve suggested it would be awesome, <mark>try it in your internal testing groups and please keep it that way</mark>, Ty!

<mark>Also I would like to be able when a warthog or any land or arial vehicle try to splatter me, be able to launch at it on the Hood just like red vs blue season 8 episode 3 and be able to shoot or hijack the vehicle from the front, that would be superb!</mark>

Armor Save Slots

Someone suggested I post this small but useful idea here for your consideration. The thread says it all but I will reiterate.

With higher customization comes more individualism and variation. This means we will likely have a lot of different variations that we like. Some may be more appealing depending on what mission you’re playing.

How about a few save slots to save different “outfits” if you will so we can switch between them instantaneously.

You may have already done this or plan on doing it. If not please consider it.

A more self indulgent request… silencers. Don’t you hate when you’re watching AMC’s The Walking Dead and they can’t use their guns because the reports attract more zombies? Aren’t you thinking in the back of your mind, “Why don’t those losers make or find some silencers?”

Yeah you’re Master Chief. 30+ years special forces experience should add a level of tactility to your decisions no? I mean luck is great but you’re going to devalue the man if you say everything he’s survived was due to luck and not training. Spartans are a big deal for a reason. I’m tired of seeing Spartan AI act like marines with shields. Thank you for riding the tangent super highway. Also silencers.

Master Chief isn’t green enough, please make him more green in Halo 4. Halo 1, 2, and 3 were good because he was more green. No one liked ODST because you couldn’t be green in the Campaign. Reach was almost bad but you put green in as a color so it’s okay. Also make him less shiny, that’s why H3>CE.

TL;DR
More Green, Less Shine. Also stop asking for aesthetics, lets hear more people who want Pelicans/Scarabs in MM/Custom Games, I for one would like to see the emergence of a new game mode, much akin to ODST bringing Firefight to the table.

I’ve wrecked enough scarabs for one lifetime. I think having them in customs/mm is a waste of time. imo

Having pelicans there but not flyable made them cooler. Think how sick of pelicans we’d get if we could fly them everywhere. On a side note… silencers. I’m Navy Special Forces damn it! Give me my stealth element.

Matchmaking Map Feedback

Remove Swordbase (objective map) and Boardwalk (12players+) from arena. Update Forgeworld maps and rotate new maps in please. =)

<mark>I wanted to talk about an amazing idea I had, why we not use combat throwing knives just like Frederic S-104 uses in the episode of Halo Legend the Package for medium to long range melee attacks where we could have 6 to 8 of these knives on us where we could throw them at Spartan etc… and it would take three or four hit to shield out and maybe 1 or 2 more hit for a head shot and maybe we could have medals for using that type of weapon, perhaps one for a head shot, one for a running assassination, one for long range kill etc… that would be freaking sweeet!</mark>
