Today, I would like to talk about something that should have been in Halo and will revolutionize the FPS forever!
I’m talking about reflexes, imagine when your in a game and you start running and you hit the wall right beside the door you were trying to get into, well what if you ad a reflex to spin around and get right in front of the door or make a side step and get in front of the door which would be automatic in about a fraction of a second to one second. Also, if for example you happen to be on the edge of the 3rd floor, your player could side step into safety away of the edge as a reflex and stand securely away from the edge.
Also it would be great to have reflexes for vehicles like the banshee where if you hit a wall the banshee would automatically fly in reverse or flip and then turn to the opposite direction in mid-air to fly away from the wall. Same for land vehicles where the warthog for example if it would hit a wall, it would automatically twist on his position and make a u-turn on the same position where both wheels on one side would spin real fast on one direction and the 2 wheels on the other side would spin real fast at the opposite direction for a fast u-turn that would happen in about a second. And how great it would be if it was player control where you could do a u-turn at will whenever you want, same thing for the reflexes, or you could choose if it is automatic or player controlled.
How great it would be to, to be able to skip or twist around a charging player who’s trying to melee you just by holding the B button and use the left joystic to select which side you want to skip or twist on at will where the twist would make the player twist around the other player just like a vertical standing evade and end up at his rear facing him or skip and end up on the opponent side facing him and melee or assassinate him with a brutal assassination for the kill just like the famous ‘‘finish him’’ MK Style but it would be a mouvement not an armor ability where you could use it at will. It would be so awesome.
Also it would be great to grab the opponent and enter a first person fist fight where you could in a few punches beat up your opponent brutally and perhaps finish him in a spectacular assassination.
And it would be great to hide behind covers in a third person view and be able to fire behind covers, or even grab portable shields and advance with it or guard yourself while firing that would bring new strategic plays in the gameplay.
PS: PLEASE, bring back the chopper, the prowler (if I may ask),the brute shot, the BR, the spike grenade and the incendiary grenades, and please make those grenades more ‘‘Firery’’ and more ‘‘Spiky’’ if I may say, and let us choose which side we want to exit a vehicle like the mongoose by using the left joysick, Ty so much!

They need to take friendly fire out of online matchmaking entirely. No more getting your shields getting taken down by your own teammates at all. Like in Firefight in Reach, you can’t hurt your teammates at all. I know that there’ll be complaints about that if they do an update for Reach as well as do that for all upcoming Halo games like Combat Evolved Anniversary and the Halo 4 trilogy. For Example, Grifball, your teammates accidentally kill you, or they just do it on purpose which really ticks me off. I’m guilty off accidentally killing my teammates myself, so I know how frustrated I get when I do that. Now people are probably gonna say that it wouldn’t be realistic, but, if you think about it Modern Warfare 2 doesn’t have friendly fire in online except for only some play lists. And people play that game like crazy. Now, if they do that which I really hope they do I will be so happy because then it’ll filter out all the players who for example let’s say you find the sniper rifle or shotgun or rocket launcher on a map and you pick it up and there’s someone else on your team who was going to, and they want it, they’ll shoot at you or hit you so you can’t use it and take down your shields. I hope the developers can see this because I’m not sure on how to get a hold of them to give them suggestions for the games, so, I’m hoping this is where you do that. If it isn’t, does anyone know where?
let 2nd, 3rd, and 4th players choose between marines, odsts, spartans, and good guy elites.
the odst and marines will have a health system just like odst and with visr.
elites will have regular shield systems like the spartans.
spartans = elites only difference is looks and hud
marines + odst = just like odst.
they will have stamina that is slightly weaker but recharges faster.
the will have visr instead of flashlight but it will work better in daylight than it did in odst.
this and let 2nd, 3rd, and 4th players have custom spartan and elite armor from multiplayer.
this is just a nod to what reach did for cut-scenes, which made you wqant to buy new armor.

One of the only reasons I still come back to halo Reach time and time again is because I make custom firefight gametypes. However, this customisability (if that’s actually a word) is really quite limited, and I get frustrated when I try to find the balance of every aspect in the game that I want, only to wind up with unbalanced and subsequently crappy or at least disappointing results. For this reason, I think that custom options should be VERY in-depth, because if someone is customizing something, chances are they want to put the extra effort into the game anyway. This “custom” option should be available for every single game variant, even campaign (though you can remove the possibility of score attack for custom games if that would be too easy to abuse). Here are a few ways you could incorporate it:
There are more custom options that I’m sure people would like to see, but I’m more concerned with firefight-based options at the moment. Honestly, I can’t imagine this being too difficult to implement, and it gives players the opportunity to increase the number of new games they can play exponentially. That said, I thank you all at 343 for your time, and hope to see even more great work from you going into the future!

Also, I agree with this wholeheartedly. The number of times I’ve gotten out on the wrong side and died because of it is ridiculous.

Today, I would like to talk about some good ideas,
Let’s start with campaign & Custom Games & Multiplayer:
I belive it would be great to be able to choose in campaign if your a 2nd, 3rd, or 4th player which character you wanna play, instead having to be a spartan all the time even if your player number 1, and perhaps you could make that into a skull so that when activated, the player can choose which character he wants to play, (Elites, Spartans, ODSTs, Marines, Grunts, Jackals, Skirmishers, Brutes, Prophets, Buggers, Engineers, Forerunners, Precursors, etc…) same thing for custom games and specially multiplayer where it could have its own dedicated playlist with the gameplay ‘‘fiesta’’. Please bring back Fiesta Slayer because its super awesome.
Also I would like to be able to choose on which side I’m gonna exit a vehicle using the exit button and the left joystick, its an imperative. Also I would like to grab a small vehicle just like the mongoose or the warthog just like in Red vs Blue and throw it to an ennemy or grab a scenery object or tool and use it as a weapon and see that weapon get damage as I use it!
Also there’s been a lot of debate about the sword block in Reach, I would like to see it come back in Halo 4 & upcoming games, not like it is in Reach but and here’s the twist, the sword block should not be when the player is right in front of us, like with in a 45 degree in front of us, which is up to 22.5 degree to the left and to the right which will bring perspective to the gameplay but if the player is right outside of that limit of 45 degree then the sword block will be possible with a little less damage to the player receiving the sword launch, imagine that if you sword launch and you hit your opponent slightly sideways, he will be able to block it but you hit him dead on he will be toast, that make more sense, does it?
Also I would like that the Firefight in Halo 4 & the upcoming games work again just like Halo 3 ODST for a single player, because in Reach it use to work fine when the game came out and then there was a game update that totally screw the gameplay where you start as an Elite instead of a Spartan where you have to play cooperatively and that suck when your alone and you want to do some Firefight Reach Style.
Also we would like to see much more skulls in the upcoming trilogy where all the previous games skulls including the ones of Halo CEA and please let yourselves get extremely loose here for the skulls, even thought some skulls may seem weird and ridicule, I’m sure a hole lot of people from the community will love them and you never know that the community will do with them, you may see some new style of Machinimas videos coming out, also I’m sure that the community will suggest you all sort of great, fun, & wild skulls to add in the game, so please add way too much skulls in the game!
Also I would like to see more laser base weapons like the Spartan Laser, and I would like to see in Halo 4 much more weapons than C.O.D Black Ops, Ty!

I would love to see the new Halo 4 a lot like a great mix of three of the following games, C.O.D. Black Ops, Section 8 Prejudice, Brink.
Why you ask, its because:
C.O.D
In the campaign it is epic, from start to finish, the player is able to use the scenery, tools and objects as weapons, plus the maps are really dirty. In each stage the scale of the scenary is huge and well thought of, great and destructible. Not only in each stage there is a high octane action and firefight that you can hardly get borded but one thing that I love in the Halo series that I haven’t found in any other games is that it makes you belive that YOU are in this univers fighting aliens for humanity and for your survival, so Please keep this tradition. Also in C.O.D. there was epic driving sequence with classic but amaizing vehicles that just made everything so great.
I love the fact that you can make callout for infantry bombardement and be the player who shoot with the turrent at the infantries or even be able to guide the missile to the impact. I also love the chase scenes in the levels which brings new levels of intimicy and excitment in the game, with great in vehicle weapons like guided missiles, and there was so many different instruments that the player used in many great location, buildings and more, and there was infiltration missions just like survival mission, there was pretty much everything in the campaign, so Please let it be that great in the upcoming games. So in recap, I would love to see all of this in the Halo 4 and upcoming trilogy Ty.
Section 8 Prejudice
What I love about this game was that it had all the needed armor abilities in the suit, like jetpack, 2 modes of sprint, an auto-regenerating beam which I would love to see something similar in Halo, auto-aiming which was super cool, and you were able to get inside a bigger meccha like robot with bigger armor and weapons at the price of manoeuvrability. Also the game had many more vehicles with lot of new weapons with all the old weapons, also in the game you could do callout for vehicle reinforcement and be able to go to your base armory for more amnos, I would like all this in the upcoming Halo 4 & trilogy games but also be able to upgrade the suit at the armory with better armor pieces, attachments, accessories, armor abilities, grenades and weapons.
Also in Section 8 there was in the game all of the gametypes in one games which I found that it was genious, where there was a ‘‘C.T.F., V.I.P., Territories, Invasion, Slayer’’ types of gameplay all in one game, that sure did captivate me in the game with this amazing jetpack that didn’t lack thrust with a style on insertion in the map that was truly awesome by orbital strike, much like the ODST intro in Halo 3 ODST, it would be great to enter a map just like that ODST Style in Multiplayer matchmaking while trying to kill somebody while you land. I would very much recommand and love to see all this in Halo 4 and upcoming Trilogy, Ty.

What I really love about this game is the amount of customisation there is to the game, you could customise everything from weapons to grenades and be able to upgrade them, also I really love the fact that in the campaign and multiplayer there was a role for each player in the team where each one had a specific function for their mission, like one was the infiltrator, another the hacker, another was the weapon specialist, I mean there was many role to play in the game and one more thing that I really love about this game and that I would love to see in the upcoming Halo games is that you could see all of the weapons & etc… statistics, see their accuracy, reload time, magazines etc… in a real easy to understand interface and there was many turrents, weapons and grenades that are fully customisable and upgradable.
Also there was this amazing S.M.A.R.T mouvement system that lets you move effortlessly around the scenery which I think was genious. Also I would like to see a lot of movement combination where you could combine running with ‘‘Free Run acrobatic movements’’ where you could run for a few seconds on wall or even longer if you activate magnetic boots in Halo 4 for example or even run onto a wall and make a back flip to end up a few meter away from the wall so you could take down an ennemy, let yourself loose here 343 for more movements and running combinations! I would love to see all of this in the upcoming Halo 4 and trilogy games.
Also I would like to see all the gameplay in Halo 4 & Upcoming games looking just like the ‘‘Deliver Hope’’ video, its a must.

I had an amazing idea, how about when two players charge each other with a melee attack, why not instead when they hold the melee button they would enter a reverse tug war in F.P.Shooter or T.P.Shooter at the players choice where they try to push each other to try to take over the other by a B button war where the fastest tapping B button player within 2 seconds wins the challenge and assassinate the other for an amazing assassination kill, that would be amazing.
And the assassination would depend on the weapons they used or the style of slaye they use, it would be awesome to see some different style of frontal assassinations. Also I would like to see many different style of assassination in the gameplay that the player can choose going from Spartan Slayer Assassination, Elite Assassination, Brute Assassination, Precursor Assassination, Flood Assassination, Forerunner Assassination and much more, let yourself go super crazyly loose for this one 343, and come up with some new weird, original and super fun ones Ty.

Ok, so, a few suggestions:
Please figure out a way to make lowering weapons simple and easy. Just a simple button press, like tapping “down” on the d-pad. It seems a little odd that, despite so many people on your team having worked with Bungie to make so many great games, you guys haven’t found a way to let somebody put their gun down without glitching or whatever other reason you took out online weapon lowering. It would greatly encourage those individuals who want to make machinimas to do so, and at the very least, having a ton of videos displaying footage from your latest game is free publicity, so that’s an undeniable bonus.
Also, on a related note, could you make it possible for a player to drop their weapon altogether by holding “down” on the d-pad for three seconds or something? That way, if you were to drop your weapon, the other would still stay “holstered” until you pressed “y”, and your hands would just be free. And when the player is not holding a weapon, it would be preferable that their arms dropped to their sides, not that weird awkward karate pose that they do now.
Alright, my last request, which is still related, is the least necessary of the three, but would still be cool to implement. I would love to see a range of character animations that could be activated by dropping (or even lowering) a weapon. Things like hand signals, salutes, or even head motions, so that there are as few limitations in a machinima as possible. Once again, it doesn’t have to be added, but I doubt anyone would dislike the addition, seeing as how it doesn’t effect gameplay at all.

So I had these wonderful ideas and I wanted to see them in Halo 4 & upcoming triloty, I would like to see amno pick-ups for turrent from leftover turrents just like Gears of Wars 3 and I would love to see more flame base weapons with a flame base sniper that shoot instant ignition rounds that ignite on impact and where the hit player could have a chance to survive the shot only if he’s running fast enough. I would love to see total characters form customisation where you could customise your height, your shoulder line, your waist line, your hips line, your legs lenght, your face features and even be able to create your own face in the game where you could play without an helmet on throughtout the whole game and multiplayer and also you could even create your own face using Kinect camera where the game would recognize you face features and implement it in the game.
I would love to see all the weapons on character where we can see 2 weapons on the back, 1 on each hip, the accessory like the Hayabusa katana on the back etc… (and be able to use them in games, campaign, multiplayer, custom games etc…), all grenades, magazines of all the picked weapons & their full reload animation specially those that are made from the hips (just like in Halo Legend the Package) and equipement on the character at the same time (Ultra very recommended), and see both weapons on the back when holding a turrent, also I would like to see the turrent being held higher just like in this picture, because it make it look more like how a Spartan would hold it.
Also I would love to see All A.I. characters be able to throw grenades where some character would have a shorter throwing range than other and also I would love to see All A.I. characters be able to grab better weapons, vehicles, equipments, and accessories all the time and be able to hijack vehicle, assassinate enemies and even perform great and amazing combos of kills, also I would love to see them have better movements like we all know grunts have some kind of gorilla shape bodies and we’ve even seen them walk like gorillas in Halo legends ‘‘the babysitter’’ etc…, I like to see them run like gorillas some times and even make a barel roll to escape dangerous situations. I would like to see Elite have different standing poses where they could stand with an higher posture with legs stretch high with elegence when in presence of higher ranking officers and in a much lower standing pose where their knees are more bent when in presence of lower ranking infantry or off duty or just chilling etc…, and I would love to see the famous Elite jaw clap that they do when they are furious and mad etc… at may different occasions, you see where Im getting at 343, just let yourself loose of this one, for the community!
Also, and this is extremely important, I was thinking that you guys could do an even better game engine then Reach in general where it could be compatible with future updates and version of the game engine where future engines could still reconize the old engines and play the old campaigns stories, MM, Custom Games etc… of Halo 4 and further games with the new & updated futuristic engines with better graphics, physics, sounds etc… and all this even in the new consoles ahead, where future engines will be able to significantly improve them just like the Matrix is getting better upgrades, Its just an idea.
I would love to see weapon lowering in multiplayer this time where holding the ‘‘back’’ button and taping the ‘‘x button’’ would immidiatly lower the weapon or reuse it again and the ‘‘A button’’ would drop immediatly drop the current or all weapons or even one weapon after another by multiple tapping for when your weapon is stuck and you want to drop it so you may not die. Also, I would love to see more gesture that you could do when you drop all weapons like a hello sign, an invitation for an handshake, a let’s go sign etc…, you see where I’m getting at, please give us plenty of gestures so we may not be in need. I would also love to see more auto-turrent base weapons that we can use to fortify the bases and locations, and I would like to see faster covenant traveling rounds, like each round each covenant weapons shoot travel at a ridiculous speed, I would love to see them travel at double the speed they are traveling right now, Ty.

I wanted to tell you on some of my ideas, I would love to see high def. bullet impact where we see lots of sparcles and see the impacted area with some real damage with real physics where we can see the metal for example on a Spartan armor get scratch at first then slightly bend then really bend & grave, then heavily damage then perforated and breaking of with lots of dirt, sparcles and electricity, check out Ironman 1 to see what Im trying to say and Please check out Ironman suit for the new Master Chief suit, Ty. Here’s some ideas, Ironman Suit 1,Ironman Suit 2Ironman Suit 3.
The perfect bloom effect is in the AR in Reach where the bloom effect doesn’t go outside of the reticule and that how the bloom should be forever. I’ve see the new Warthog in Forza 4 and I belive its how a Warthog should be from the begining but here is the little twist that will make it perfect, I would like to see all of the headlights in the front bumper not only the middle ones, I would like to see the second headlight that is above the driver be just like the one above the passager which is a rotary headlight (Great idea for rotary headlight, who ever got that idea, we salute you, but please bring back the headlight above the driver because its a Warthog not a jeep:-) I would love to see the rotary headlights usable in multiplayer, campaign, custom games and more with a projector in the middle of the headlights or on the side of the windshield just like cop cars or use both rotary headlights as a projector, I would also want to see one projector in the back and white lights in the back for when we go in reverse its an imperative and I would want to see the new Warthog 1,75 time stronger & tougher, Ty.
I would like also to be able to select where in % the shield is going to be strongest at on the suit just like in the books, because it would bring so much more strategy to the game where you could put more power to the back and be less vulnerable in your back while you attack your front, see where I’m trying to go here, let yourself loose on this one 343 and please give us all possibility here and more. Also I suggest to check the books for much more ideas for the game.
I would love the be able to select if the vehicles are manual or auto where we could drive in such ways with different driving styles using the bumpers to shift up or down, the left trigger for handbrake which switch to front braking when stationnary for smoke shows and even using the ‘‘A button’’ for nitrous that recharge by drifting, wild & dangerous driving and customise parameters, please check out your partner Forza on this matter and ask them to lend you their tire physics technology for mutual beneficies on both parties here for the land vehicles physic reaction on different roads. I love my Warthog & I would love to do smoke shows with my Warthog and make awesome Machinima videos with it where you could do willys, side willys (rolling on two wheels on the same side) stunts, and crazy car tricks and even be able to choose the color of your smoke shows, that would be mind blowing, Ty!
I would love to see in real time senery, weapons, equipments, accessories, new armor abilities, vehicles, ennemies, sounds, tools, structures and much much more analysis by Cortana just like in the movies Ironman 1 and 2 and also have a bunch of weapons inside the suit (just like a flamethrower, mini missiles launcher, target locator launcher, remote control explosives and more ) with auto-aiming capabilities and counter aerial weapons just like in Halo legend ‘‘the Prototype’’. Also, specially I would like to be able to walk on DEAD people and push them around just like the Gears of War series instead of walking through them and even be able to melee them much better with better physics where we can damage them further or kick them on oncoming ennemies to take out their shield or even kill them on custom games. I would love to see the suit do a self-diagnosis of all the system available where the suit react to this diagnosis just like in the movie Ironman 1, also if the suit gets damage and have to reboot some systems, I would like to hear the suit assistant or Cortana say that those systems need to reboot with some sound & visual FX for the reboot and then tell us when the system is online, that would be great, Ty.

Here’s how we would love to see Master Chief suit get damage in multiplayer.
Here is how it got to be, Please!
With dual weilding back without dropping one while meleeing etc…, accessories and Better Armor Abilities integration just like in the game Section 8 Prejudice with perfect bloom like the AR in Reach but slightly slower and a whole super lot more new & old weapons and vehicles with lot of customisations like colors etc.
Also, bring back the Halo 3 ranking system but here’s the twist that will make it perfect, stay with the actual Reach system only for the experience bar where you only rank up in Halo 3 style ranking system with the Reach animation for ranking up, that would be the best of both worlds with lots of Spartan-II and Spartan-III. Enough said!

There is a serious issue concerning the Falcon propellers, mainly dealing with xbox live related situations. As we all know, one of the many cool properties of the Falcon is it’s ability to kill players with the propellers. Unfortunately, this heavy piece of machinery is unbiased in which players it decides it will kill, and often times this brutal method of killing is exploited by members of the same team.
I recently made a return to Halo: Reach and I have had a blast; though against my own will, I have been booted from a few games. Today alone I have been kicked from the match twice for “betraying” my team members.
On the popular Big Team Battle map known as “Abridged,” both teams are supplied with Falcons at the top of their base. Piloting one of these Falcons, I sit idle waiting for my teammates to man the guns, and due to players who jump up via man cannon or people who sport the jet-pack, I have fallen victim to an unjust resolution to be removed from the game. I imagine this is not an obscure tactic and this cruel method has been utilized by many players.
I am here to petition a change to the Falcon propeller betrayals for the good of all Halo: Reach players.
i totaly agree with everything that has been said by the halo comunity all though theres alot of negative thoghts about reach, the hatred against bloom, armour ability, death upon bulltrue so on .
it seems reach had many faults and additions the extremely varied halo community have had discrepancies over loosing aa and bloomwhile i totally disagree with loosing this the answer is not to loose anything but bring everything back and more with such a variety of weapons using a style like modern warfare where the enemies have that countries standard issue weaponry allowing the players to have enough ammo.
with that halo 4 or future halos to come this technique supressed weaponry (with extra accuracy lowered range and a decreased damage)that fits to magnum, assault rifle, smg, sniper, shotgun, dmr, br. with gameplay suppressed weaponry helps with ai but movement sensor only effected at 50% range the weapons with suppression should look slightly upgraded with a laser light, torch, and suppressor the magazine should be the same allowing ammo pick up from alternate weapon “idea”(]usually the weapon with no ammo is vanished but if picked up with alternate weapon the weapon should remain on the ground with its remaining clip but if the same weapon has been used to retrieve ammo then the weapon will disapear as normal).

Just a simple thing. I think this forum needs more active Moderators to battle these copy cat threads. Also, to crack down on people constantly talking about the terrible jobs you are doing with the Halo franchise. I just see total disrespect from the community pointing fingers at you all. Will you guys ever respond to them? What are you waiting for?
