K, I guess I put this in the wrong thread, so I’ll repost here :slight_smile:

A few things I’d like to see in a title update, a playlist for swat with no bloom (or partial bloom), big team swat, arena swat, score attack doubles with two sets, adjustable firefight matchmaking difficulty (ie legendary, heroic), ability to back out of score attack (while choosing maps), firefight forge options (dropping covenant onto your custom map), ability to undo something (or redo) in forge, much better community maps (ie hold more community contests), and new armor permutations, effects to buy and such. These are things that would definitely make the game better :slight_smile:

Have you tried Team Classic? It doesn’t have any armor abilities, I like it a lot more myself

HALO 4 WISHLIST
**-**A semi auto Battle Rifle that shoots like it did in the Halo 2 E3 demo
-ODST firefight in matchmaking (gun racks limited ammo)
-HaloPC flamethower
-Large multiplayer maps like Battlefield
-The ability to repare vehicles like Battlefield
-The Halo 1 banshee (if it returns)
-Lots of exploration (like ODST)
-Assault Rifle with 2x zoom
-Bring back SMG and make it amazing
-Only equipment pick-ups, no loadouts
-Bring back first-person side seat (This made it so much more immersive)
-Remove bloom ( You can still have it, just make it invisible)
-The magnum (With zoom)
-A player controllable dropship (I want to fly a pelican)
PS. I may continue to add things to this list.

Personally I believe changing the shield system is wrong. If you want to make it like Halo CE that is one thing, but when you said to make it like other games, you need to remember that Halo 2 and 3 had rejuvenating health, whereas here we have to get health packs.

I would love to see a halo 2 anniversary , a halo 3:ODST anniversary, and halo 3 anniversary with an updated version of the halo reach armory that uses the halo 3 armor pieces plus new stuff too

also i love the halo franchise alot so you guys better not mess up halo 4

Last week when the announcement to download the Title Update came up I was in a rush so I skipped it figuring that I could always come back and download it. Unfortunately I have not been able to find the update on xbox live (marketplace or anywhere else) even though I have looked everywhere I can think of. Can you please post the exact name of the update that can be searched for or directions on how I can download it? It is very frustrating not being able to access it when I know it is out there.

I would like to see an option to change the date format in the settings. I understand that you are a US based company but the MM/DD/YYYY format can be confusing for those of us from countries that us the DD/MM/YYYY system.

From my understanding the title update most of us installed was not the final update, right?
does this mean that somethings will be added?

I have a few questions i would like to have answered either by the community or 343i. Is it possible to make “fun” gametypes like grifball, so that they do not affect k/d? many people use these gametypes to boost, and reduce the objective aspect of the game(this is more towards grifball). I was also wondering if the final update could place how many credits we need to rank up in the progress bar? Finally one last thing i would like to see is a bit more credits for custom gaming, if someone spends three hours playing a custom game i think a bit more than 120cR should be awarded.

In Halo 4, I want to see a system where players automatically have the armor permutations they unlocked in Halo 3 and Reach, but still make those armors unlockable by people who didn’t play those games. Similar to how DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi 3 did a “disc scan” of Tenkaichi 2 so that you wouldn’t have to unlock the same characters twice, but could if you wanted to/didn’t have Tenkaichi 2.

I’d like to see an unlocking system, like credits, where you can unlock the pieces by playing whatever way you want, this system should not force people to play online. If it’s credits, then the offline credit restrictions must be the same as the online ones!

I don’t want there to be any Waypoint unlocks other than avatar awards. All in game content should be unlockable in game.

You guys should add another mode like Bungie did with Firefight. It’d be cool to see something completely new. Also how about a bots mode using the built in maps?

I have enjoyed Halo for many years especially Halo 3, Just for the fun with friends and that community on the game was much better then it is today. I do like reach or did… I suppose it has it’s good points and bad…

THE DMR!!! = it’s a horrible and unfair weapon to use against any player at any moment if you get shot first your fate is decided no matter what weapon you use be it vehicle or standard weapon. It flips warthogs… It kills tanks… (It’s supposed to be medium to long range but if someone with an assault rifle fights against one in close quarters they lose what’s the deal with that?)

Lets go over every thing that is wrong.
1.Chief doesn’t look like that in the game.
2.Chief is using the Reach M6G even though they have replaced that model with the correct one.
3.The top of Halo is being reflected in Chief’s visor even though he is looking the wrong way.
4.It’s boring and devoid of color, that is not the way they should be advertising a game that is beautiful and full of color.
5.It’s not the original cover with the updated graphics.

Seriously, they need to either do a colored version of this cover with the correct pistol and model for chief, remake the original cover with the Anniversary assets(this is the best thing they could do), or use this-

Even though they have the incorrect model for the AR in the hands of the Marines and are for some odd reason using Halo 2 Jackals, but at least it shows what the game is.

Halo 2 is the worst.
It’s nothing like CoD.
CoD didn’t invent those things.
If you don’t make changes to a franchise it gets boring and dies.

Damage Modifier should be selective instead of it affecting every weapon:

Game-Type Options: When you’re setting up what weapons the player’s are going to spawn with. When you select a weapon a menu pops up with a percentage. So you can choose how much damage it’s going to do. Without it affecting all the weapons.

For example:
-Assault Rifle: I would change it to a percentage to do about the same amount of damage as the DMR. Because they both use the same type of ammunition.

-Magnum: I would lower it’s percentage so it’s use more of a secondary weapon. Instead of it being more a primary weapon.

For Forge: When I spawn a weapon. In the weapon’s option menu. There’s the damage modifier option. So I can choose what percentage of damage it’s going to do.

Here is some feedback, i hope everyone agrees =P
Also, feel free to discuss the matter.

Campaign matchmaking: I think we should get alot more credits on this. Personally, i never play it because i get so little credits for it. I love campaign, but right now i play for credtis AND fun, not just fun. The campaign missions takes a while to complete, and i feel that we get way to little credits for completing it. Of course, this is just MY opinion, feel free to discuss it.
Tl:dr: We should get more credits for MM campaign

“Huge jackpots”: Yeah… I haven’t quit a single game for about 100 games now, still no “huge jackpot”. If Bungie wants to encourage people to NOT quit games, they should make the “huge jackpots” more common. I personally never quit, even if we get owned so bad, so it would also be nice with a little bonus for this.

I haven’t seen too many people quitting these days… But i still see some, which is quite annoying, yes. Anyway, this is also just my opinion, so feel free to discuss this too.
Tl:dr “Huge jackpots” should be more common.

Halo 2 is by far the best Halo in the franchise by far. The other guy is right.

343 you did a fantastic job removing the terrible abomination known as bloom out and giving us the zero bloom gametype. When I tryed out the Zero Bloom gametype the other day I was amazed. I was so happy that my shots actually hit where I wanted them to go and the gameplay was so much smoother and fast paced and it actually felt like Halo again. Now it would be fantastic if you would take it out of multiplayer entirely. I mean nobody likes bloom because it all it does is slow down gameplay and ruin Halo. It made millions of Halo fans upset and leave Halo. So I ask you to please remove bloom from every playlist entirely and Reach would be perfect. Or at least from most playlists. Fast Paced gameplay is what Halo is all about in terms of multiplayer. Keep up the good work 343 :slight_smile:

I am a huge Halo fan, I’ve played every Halo game and know the story very well, so here is my advice for Halo: Reach improvements.

The new update for Halo Reach is great, and it really improves the game play (reticule bloom was a good concept, but I must admit I’ve lost quite a few battles because of it). My only concern about the update is disablement of the Energy Sword melee-block ability. I thought this was a great way to balance the sword, and make it so that players could defend themselves from it, but sadly it’s being taken out, and I’m concerned on whether or not this will make players with swords too powerful.

I also think you should add an Elite Slayer playlist to matchmaking. Because I love to play as Elites, but sadly this opinion isn’t shared with most players, so they usually don’t vote for Elite Slayer game types. And with the update in place, Armor Lock will not be quite an issue in Elite Slayer anymore.

I think there should be Drones in FireFight. I don’t understand why not; it would make FireFight much more enjoyable with Drones. I also think Engineers should be in all the FireFight maps, cause they’re cool.

I think Forge should have a ‘undo’ option, so that if you accidentily delete something, you can undo it. And maybe perhaps a less strict budget limit on certain items.

A good idea would also to have a Armory DLC, since it’d be really cool for us to get new armor. But I suspect the helmet in the Defiant Map Pack trailer could be part of a possible Armory DLC, but I can only hope.

Please put back betrayal booting in the Living Dead playlist! I can’t count how many times I’ve been randomly betrayed by random players, it’s really annoying. I know you guys took it out because of a glitch where the human kills a zombie right after he’s infected, but I think that’s a risk we’re just going to have to take, since getting betrayed over and over is much more annoying.

Also, I think it would be a good idea to make it so that every time someone quits a game, they have to wait 10 minutes before going into another Matchmaking game. Hear me out: if they’re quitting a game cause they have to go do something, then they’re probably going to be gone for around 10 minutes, so it shouldn’t be a problem. And if they’re quitting cause they don’t like the map or game type, then they’re just abandoning their team and leaving them to be outnumbered by the enemy. When I go into Matchmaking, it seems like every game, at least one person will quit, and I think we need more strict quitting rules.

For betrayal booting, it needs fixing. There’s been so many times for when I have a good weapon or vehicle, then some noob decides to betray me for it, and I don’t get the option to boot the jerk. Perhaps 343 could make it so that if you betray someone, you immediatly die, which would make it so that a teammate cannot benefit from betraying you.

Another idea for a playlist is Assault Rifle Swat (aka AR SWAT). Sure it takes less skill than a DMR, but I think it would be a very enjoyable game type.

For the playlist Action Sack: please take out Halo Ball. Halo Ball Extreme is okay, but the regular Halo Ball is very boring, and gives the players very few credits.

For Weekly Challenges: please no more LASO! Me and all my friends on Reach hate LASO and would much prefer Weekly Challenges that are not quite as difficult and time consuming.

For multiplayer maps, please don’t fix maps that are okay by themselves. For example, the map Condemned is often changed to it’s altered form, Uplink, which the only noticeable difference are the teleporters and lack of Rocket Launcher. Personally, I don’t think that map needed to be fixed.

In Team Slayer, maybe you could decrease the amount of Forge World maps? Cause whenever I go into that playlist, most of the time it shows Forge World maps that I’ve never heard of before, and I usually prefer to play on non-Forge World maps. Same thing with Big Team Battle, there’s way too many random game types in that playlist, I think Big Team Slayer should be the dominant game type in that playlist. Oh and if you can’t make an Elite Slayer Playlist, please at least make Elite Slayer more common in Matchmaking.

In the DLC playlists, I would prefer if those playlists would exclude all non-DLC maps, since I really don’t think Powerhouse and Zealot should be in Premium Battle, nor Hemmorage in Premium Battle. Cause when I go into those playlists, it’s because I want to play DLC maps.

This is just an idea, but I think when Halo: Anniversary comes out, you should make a Weekly Challenge saying “Play Halo: Anniversary” for 100,000 cR. I just think it’d be a cool treat for those who get Halo Anniversary in the first week, and it might improve profits!

And this is advice for the Halo series in general: please make the Campaigns longer. Ever since Halo 3, all the Halo Campaigns have gotten much shorter, which is unfortunate. Also, personally I think Grunts should have been able to speak English in Reach; I know making the Covenant speak their own language was to make them more ‘alien’ but come on, Grunts? It’s not the same without the little guys shouting hilarious lines of dialogue in squeaky voices.

343 I would just like to say that you’ve done a good job so far as the company now in charge of Halo. Thank you for reading my advice (assuming you read all this) and I hope you will put some thought into these.

PS: Halo Reach is awesome, please ignore those who say it isn’t as good as Halo 3.

Halo 2 was amazing, so amazing that it kept Xbox Live from going under and made online console gaming what it is today.

Reach is exactly like COD, the competitive nature of the franchise has been sucked out of it and all that is left are the moronic casual children that infest COD.

You just said it’s nothing like COD, so what things are you talking about? Don’t contradict yourself.

Halo was a massive franchise with a massive fanbase when Halo 3 was out, then the reach Beta released online number fell a little. when reach finally released the numbers fell below half of what they were. This “innovation” of yours killed Halo and segregated the fanbase.

If it aint broke, you shouldn’t fix it. Reach is broken right now though and 343 are fixing it.
