Well I downloaded the update and I really didn’t see a difference in the bloom, although I saw an enormous difference in the active camo and a little in the armor lock. So for now it’s alright, but I really want to see the halo ce pistol effects in beta hoppers. Sincerely, Ninjaman3250

ce pistol isn’t going to be in beta hoppers, they’re waiting until the release of halo anniversary to implement the 3sk pistol into matchmaking.
I’ve talked a lot about firefight before, but I would like to continue to express my feelings.
Dear 343
I want to start off by saying I’m disapointed Bungie let you unlock the Reach firefight achivements with custom settings. Why in the world would you allow the player to do that? This just ruins the experience and takes away from the competitive aspect firefight has in the first place. Bungie probably let you do this because it was their last game and figured, “why not let achivements be unlocked with cheat codes so we can go out with a bang.” These settings are just cheats, and if someone sick enough out there thinks cheat codes can be used to unlock achivements, then they need their head examined. As soon as you introduce cheat codes to the player, firefight instantly becomes less competitive. It’s like saying,“go ahead and have free gamerscore you stupid Halo player.” Of course you can score a million points with Invulnerability and bottomless clips. Were’s the fun in that. Were’s the challenge! That is the worse gameplay decision ever and I think you guys at 343 can understnd what I’m talking about. Having these custom settings contradicts the whole reason you have skulls in the first place, TO MAKE IT HARDER! There is no skill required when you allow someone to use cheat codes to unlock the heat in the pipe achivement. Why not only allow achivements to be unlocked with default game settings? That way, firefight is competive again, and I actually have a reason to try hard to achieve something. Sound reasonable? At the very least, don’t let the player use Invulnerability and bottomless clips settings to unlock the achivements. Again, why would you let the player unlock achivements with these settings? That just doesn’t make any sense to me, and is probably why Reach doesn’t have as much replay value as ODST had. ODST on the other hand, didn’t have custom skulls, and therefore you actually felt obligated to use the resources at your disposal if you ever wished to beat the par scores. You see what I mean when I said letting the player use these custom skulls to beat the high scores takes away from the feeling of hopelesness that ODST had. By making you rely on limited ammo and taking cover, firefight then feels serious and keeps you coming back you try harder. Please do this in Halo 4 because I don’t know any other way to give the player an incentive to beat the achivements. I’m not sugusting to get rid of all the custom settings, just don’t let the player use them as an opportunity to get free gamerscore. My point is, when you let the player unlock achivements with custom skulls, it destroys the incentive to beat the high scores without using them. It also makes firefight feel less serious and seems to have gone backward since ODST. Seriously consider what I’m saying and make firefight something addicting that keeps you coming back.
THE BOTTOM LINE!
Only allow achivements to be unlocked with default game settings. This is the only way a player has an incentive to keep coming back to try harder to get the achivements. I couldn’t be more clear.

Concerning the Zero Bloom Gametype:
With the introduction of the no bloom custom I find it hard to even think about Reach gameplay. The only thing is that we still have Reach’s movement speed and jump height, not to mention movement acceleration in the custom gametype. With zero bloom and the bullet going precisely where I want it to go, I would think it would provide a more skillful setup and overall better experience to incorporate a little more tweaks to the whole zero bloom aspect of gameplay, such as zero movement acceleration.
This would mean that when moving instead of gradually reaching your top speed, you move at full speed no matter if you stop and go, or are strafing. This combined with the less aim assist, nerfed nades, zero bloom and bleed through already present would just make gameplay even more fun and skillful in my opinion.
OMG 343 Industries, Please make Halo 4 epic. I want the world to feel the same passion I feel for the Halo series.
Issues with Safari browser users on OSx 10.4 and older.
I have been a member of the Halo Community since 2001. I have been active on forums including Bungie.net, High Impact Halo, halo.bungie.org, halomods.com and many more. I have always enjoyed my time on these forums and was expecting great things from a forum owned and ran by Microsoft. Being a tech giant you would think they would have all the bells and whistles here as well as a fully operable forum. I am sad to say that for almost a year now I have been trying to contact every last person I can to absolve these issues with older apple software. I for one can’t afford to go buy a new laptop just to be involved with a forum. I don’t get many chances to post on here, I’m on a friends computer now. It would be great to see MS live work with waypoint and older versions of safari. I had it work one time in the gamma forums, it’s never been an issue elsewhere so it just couldn’t be that hard of a fix. I hope to join in on the fun with all of you sooner or later.

I love the TU update. The zero bloom is perfect. I don’t even care about the 85 percent bloom. This is perfect.
I would just want one more thing changed with the gametypes that will be released: Do NOT put any armour abilities in them. PLEEEEEEEAAASSEEEE. And just to be specific, DO NOT put in sprint.
PLease PLease PLease have no sprint and no AA’s in the classic playlists that you will hopefully put out with the oct and nov changes.
The custom game I played felt absolutely great and the game is def moving in a great direction.
A classic playlist with no AA’s will make me an extremely happy person.

Bungie made a great game evolving halo now you(343) take it and move backwards wtf.
I love Firefight. With that said as much as I love it and Halo I have to admit GoW3’s Horde 2.0 is awesome! Please look into adding similar things to the equation to keep Firefight interesting. I can actually play that with my friends all day without them getting board like they do in firefight. Mind you I can firefight all day if I had friends with me. Adding Ally NPCs is a step in the right direction.
Also switch weapons with friends in that game is another thing that makes it awesome. In Halo you have to look for a weapon on the ground to switch with a friend. Hard to do in battle.
We should be allowed to upload our own avatar shouldn’t we?

This is a blindingly obvious flaw that was not corrected in the TU. 200% damage mod should not drop someone’s shield with 1 DMR shot.
I’m starting to wonder if anyone actually reads these threads.

For the title update changes like bloom. Have the option to turn it on and off in ALL playlists you already have saved and have it off by default on ALL default playlists in your custom games library please. TY!!!

You must be kidding? Halo: Reach is by far the worst Halo ever created. Bungie wanted to be more like the Call of Duty series… have sprint, loadouts and other things… like wow.
NEVER BREAK A THING PEOPLE BEEN HAPPY WITH, Halo was absolutely fine without those freakin Armor Abilities, but Bungie made a lot of people leave Halo with their decisions about Halo: Reach. And yes, I also hate Reach, I can’t find any fun with it.
