I mentioned this in another thread but something like Bungie day would be good, with freebies of course, perhaps something like Reclaimer Day could be declared.
These suggestions are for Halo 4:
- Bring back duel wield, however make weapons slightly less accurate when duel wielding.
- Bring back the following from Halo 3:
Beam rifle
Flamethrower
Sentinal beam.
Firebomb grenades
Spike grenades
Chopper
Missle pod
- Remove AA’s. They just aren’t Halo, equipment was much better IMO
- Jetpack should return as a single use pickup (possibly equipment).
- Much, much more elite customisation.
- The ability to buy/unlock/select new assasination moves, including weapon specific assassinations for weapons like the spiker and needler.
- Armour effects are a good idea, but they should be made less obvious, inclement weather just gives away your position.
- It could be possible to equip 3 Armour effects at once, one body AE, one head AE, and one that displays on death.
- Accessories shhould be available for nearly every armour piece, such as wristpads, ammo belts and the katana from halo 3. These should be unlocked seperatly and the player can choose which to equip, they then appear on whatever armour they are wearing.
- For forge, add gravity zones, which work like kill zones in that you determine the area. When entered there is a change in gravity determined by the forger or through custom games.
- The xp system needs to reflect skill not time played, reward players for scoring objectives and winning games and winning them faster. Reachs xp system has it backwards. It would also be awsome if 1-50 returned.
These next suggestions are for Reach, the TU and the CEA forge:
- For the race gametype, enable teams to play in any vehicles as well as on foot races!
- Please patch the gauss warthog glitch! This was my favorite Halo 3 vehicle and the fact I can’t put it in my maps or that it isn’t on matchmaking makes me sad inside.
- For the CEA new forge objects, please add the campaign vehicles, this includes the pelican, truck, forklift , cart, grenade launcher falcon and transport warthog.
- For infection, make it so that if limited lives are on, and all the zombies are out of lives, THE GAME ENDS!

I’m part of a community that loves racing and has played the hell out of the gametype, and after a year with it the only problems we have with it is that lap times are not recorded with decimals (1:10 instead of 1:10.94). We have tons of races where we qualify for starting position or base winners on the best lap time. Please think about adding this simple thing to the race gametype.
And add points for killing so we can play Battletracks, but that’s a different story.
I’m from the same site. We love to race but feel it was wrecked by the race gametype. We used V.I.P. and it was so awesome it counted kills and lap points. We got all of our ideas from that one gametype. With the race gametype we made and will make no more cool gametypes, due to limitations. It’s even hard to just remake those same gametypes. So to fix that we would like team racing (For demo) 1 racers 3 blockers 2 teams. SYou try to wreck the other racer and it’s fun. We would also like milleseconds for qualyfying in our Formula One and Nascar races. We also would like a lap counter so you don’t have to count your laps in racing tournaments.
Please add as much as you can! We love racing don’t let it die.
I’m also from the same community and I think those would be great ideas for the race gametype.
In the Reach Title Update:
-The option to turn teams on/off in any gametype in custom games.
-The option to put team colours off but still have red, blue, green, ect. teams in the lobby and in game but team colours would be off.
-In Forge, the same thing as the above should be implemented.
All i want is more relistic combat. i love halo, but the engine and overall preformance gets very old. I want something new, when i shoot that assault rifle i want to feel like im a god with a gun, when i desimate my enemy i want to feel like im firing lead in his head, not cheesy style ol’ halo.
Other than combat, i think Halo is great.
Oh, and all i want is Flood firefight
The one thing I hope 343 actually does is give their novels tighter editing. The Halo Encyclopedia had a re-release, TFoR was re-released TWICE, First Strike was re-released TWICE, and The Flood is due for the inevitable “Definitive Edition”. It’s also only a matter of time before Contact Harvest, Cole Protocol, and Ghosts of Onyx get new editions. Even the Halo Visual Guide had errors, one of them being that is said Halo 3: ODST didn’t have the Assault Rifle in it.
It juts makes me wonder if 343 is just going to rush out content, edit it half–Yoinked!-, and then re-release a "fixed’ version. That is just lazy.

My friend who just reached Inheritor hated the credit cap with a passion, when he would play 2 hours and cap. Perhaps a rank based credit payout for challenges? Because really, 1000 credits at a low rank is worth more like 5000 nowadays, and that would be worth attempting to complete as a Mythic who usually gets 4x the credit payout in a single game then from a daily. It seems to me that if nothing the credit cap should be raised to 200k+ at perhaps Eclipse or Forerunner.
Ohh… I didnt think of that… a rank based Credit cap… I don’t like the 1-50 rank xp system because you win 12 games in a row, get 2 xp, lose 2 games, lose 2 xp… I know Bungie was looking for people to play a lot, but getting sandbagged because you have 3 afkers on your team and you and your homedude are looking at each other like “Well we’re dead” and then starts people quitting because they don’t want to sack their k/d(some people live by it) or lose more xp than they already would if they had stayed.
ON MOREEEEEE THING! Can we get an assassination that has the “Sparta Kick” and call “Spartan Kick”? Duke Nukem had the Achievement to find all 4 of the “Space Marine Helmets” that looked an AWFUL lot like John’s Helmet.
I think the cap is already rank based, 60k before General or something like that.

I dislike the current vehicle health system, because it make vehicles have to be overpowered to account for their weak bodies. IMO DMRs and Snipers need to lose almost all the damage they do to vehicles, and in the TU vehicle health needs to become related to player health again

I would specify a level. There are at least 5 levels in CE that don’t even include vehicles, including the first level, so it would be completed automatically.
Unless you meant all of the levels… that might be a challenge if it was on heroic or legendary
Well, Can we Have Weapons Down And WeaponLess an Option for Custom Games?
This will help Machinima Makers.
So for Ex All Players are Weaponless untill they press E and pick up their weapon.(Optional in Gametype Settings)
Weapons Down Can Be Down on the D-Pad. (Optional In Gametype Settings)
Just for Custom Games so we don’t have Matchmaking Glitching, I would appreiciate this and i think it will help promote Halo Through Machinima.

This just occurred to me today, and I really think it is necessary that this is fixed in the coming Title Update.
I was playing on the map Holdout in the Score Attack playlist, trying to get some vehicle kills for the “Flat Tire” Daily Challenge. I had used the Spartan Laser to take down a Banshee, when I realized that Banshees don’t count toward the challenge. I really hope that this is fixed for the Title Update, as Banshees are destructible enemy vehicles.
I don’t know about you guys but I have purchased the DLC and unless I play in the Premium zones I hardly ever play on the new maps. It would be nice if matchmaking matched people with the DLC better. I wouldn’t like to see DLC be required like Halo 3 did but it did work. Of course if the DLC came with Halo CE anniversary that would help too.

First idea: Have a VIP rewards system. Such as from Bioware’s idea area, registering your game titles from all the Halo’s to your profile, which allows in later games armory unlocks and customize multiplayer things.
Second idea: Allow people who buy collectors edition’s for all halo games to have discounted or a VIP pass (example: LA Noire, MK9, Battlefield) on all new DLC releases. This would allow the LOYAL halo’ers to have thanks from 343 for their support and loyal spending of a wonderful franchise.

I really hate the way Reach does DLC. I understand why they don’t make it required, but Halo 3 did very well with it, and if all DLC’s are going to be separated then they’ll always have low populations, which will make me unwilling to buy future DLC’s.
I have an idea for Forge in either an updated Halo: Reach (if possible) or definitely Halo 4.
I’d like to see a “smart” spawn system available in Forge where you can edit the spawn points to have a certain possibility of spawning. For example, say you have a map with a red and blue base. You have the red and blue spawn points in their respective bases, and then you start placing neutral spawn points in each base. Now you can choose to edit the neutral points to have a “one-fourth chance of red guy spawning” with one spawn, but have another spawn with “three-fourths’ chance of blue guy spawning” and so on, and so forth.
Also, my mother was a fan of Halo: CE, and I asked if she had any suggestions for Halo 4. She says “I want the Grunts to be a force to be reckoned with. Don’t make them look different, give them a superweapon of something.” So try to please my mother
