Everyone who gets banned/reset says they didn’t do anything to deserve it. Bungie doesn’t arbitrarily decide to reset a player for no good reason. You probably got caught cheating, or AFC.

We have three Mid range Precision weapons: the Needle Rifle, the Magnum, and the DMR. Besides the obvious sandbox rebalance, I propose that the mid range precision weapons should be balanced via a triangular setup of niche.
Example:
Magnum>DMR>NR for short range
NR>Magnum>DMR for mid range
DMR>NR>Magnum for long range

This way, the weapons always have their “niche” and can be countered in a certain range by one of the other two weapons.

Whatever happens, keep Halo 4 as far away from Halo:Reach as possible. Never has Halo been such a frustrating experience. We go from losing maybe 1 in 25 Br duels due to spread to 50% due to the wonderful addition known as bloom. Horrendous idea in a game like Halo. AAs are another point of interest, or rather, disgust. What better way to take away the core elements of gameplay than to add base player abilities that granty speed, limitless jump, invincibility, etc., then have them recharge in a matter of seconds?

Reach could have been great, but here is what would’ve been need:
5% Increase in base movement speed
10% increase in base player jump height
Static reticles
Balanced Maps
Bleed-through melee
AAs less influential (e.g. limited sprint to 3/4 distance, evade to 1 roll, derp lock to 3 seconds maximum and only 1 use, jet pack to be more of a jump jet which works similar to a gravity lift which just allows about a 3-4x jump, etc.
There is just so much wrong with Reach

Ideally, I maintain an improved Halo 3 would be the best possible Halo experience. Something like this.

Hitscan Netcode similar to Reach
2x Zoom on Pistol
Reduction in Melee lunge
Buffed plasma pistol tracking (no large damage delt through semi-auto fire)
Slightly enlarged weapon sandbox

I agree with secrets when he or she says that the bloom is too strong. But I don’t think it should be cut out entierly. Haveing a bloom gives the shooting experience of a virtual weapon a more realistic feel, but I do think that Halo Reach’s bloom is a bit ridiculous especially for weapons like the DMR and the Needle rifle two mid - long range weapons.

But this does not apply for all weapons in my opinion, I belive haveing recoil and bloom on weapons like sniper rifles and AR’s is a good idea infact I think it makes the weapons much easier to shoot snd gives the guns a better feel when shooting it.

  1. Fix Bloom or Remove it
    2.Arena Overhaul (1-50)
    3.Bleedthrough Melee back
  2. increase Movement speed or nerf blast radius of grenades
  3. Make AA’s as pickups instead of Loadouts or Remove Loadout ( this is not CoD)

This is a question for 343, if we pitch ideas, and they are used, can we get some private invites to an early Halo 4 beta?

No Armour Abilities and bring back the BR.

343, when you do the title update can you please remove flag carrier cool-down traits where you are still slow and can not grab the flag again? I really miss juggling the flag, it added a little bit of strategic depth when carrying the flag because if you juggled then people could see the flag’s marker when you threw it, or you could be sneaky with it and hold onto it.

I am sure you could find some way around the announcer yelling “flag stolen” “flag dropped” because I believe that is the reason that it was removed anyway.

  1. Have a lot of SYMMETRICAL MAPS. This is so important for gameplay, and Reach has too few of them.
  2. No AA’s
  3. No bloom
  4. Bleedthrough melee system

If all of those elements are included in Halo 4, I think it’ll be a huge success.

And maybe bring the BR back :wink:

I know a lot of people are against it, but in Halo 4, it would be awesome if you kept armor abilities. It makes the game so much more different than other shooters like “Crisis 2” “Call of Duty” and “Brink”. It also adds that “unknown” factor when you meet someone. You never know if they’ll use armor lock, a hologram, invisibility, jetpacks, or sprint. Also, it adds the ability for team members to use strategies to create an efficient squad. My favorite part is how it allows a person to see an enemy and decide if they want to flee or fight. For instance, I often see three enemies, and rather than fight, i use sprint, cloaking, or a hologram to escape and regroup with my team for an ambush them.

It’s really just a request given the fact I know everyone hates them due to Armor Lock. Thanks.

I think that halo 4 should have a camo pattern option that would conform to armor colors, it should also have a firefight like system where both sides get reinforcements instead of just one, forge ai that you can add like different ai from campaign and customize like team, weapon, and combat behavior (I.E make them aggressive or cowardly), and also, it should have a healing system where you can carry a health pack (like equipment in halo 3) and use it to heal yourself in emergencies. I’d prefer not to have armor abilities, but if so, please remove armor lock.

And also some sort of attach feature for forge, that would allow you to sort of weld things on to each other, thus making forge contraptions more possible, also please add things like doors, civilian vehicles, and pelicans and phantoms in forge.
Also a weather or time feature would be cool in forge, day/night sunny/cloudy, along with the ability to change terrain options, like snow/grass/desert/etc, along with working with a system where in edit mode you can add water/rock/grass/trees/etc, along with buildings like unsc or covenant structures. Also a forge world like map set in space with controlable gravity areas like how hill markers are, make like an atmosphere marker, along with space vehicles like transports. And a dig system for forge that allows things to be undergound by changing an item option and possibly a size setting where you can determine how much it digs.

Concerning fixe’s these are what I would like edited

*Bloom- Fix it or trash it. I like the idea that the weapons accuracy is changed by rate of fire but to be honest bloom just dosent work with bullets magnetising, you can spam and almost always get a hit because the bullets “Curve” to hit the enemy.

*AA’s- If you keep any make it sprint and jet-pack, sprint works the way it does now and jet pack should ALWAYS be a map pick-up witch acts somewhat like a double jump (Think of all the side scrolling metroid games)

*Maps-Fun to play good to look at. Halo reach did one or the other and that just didnt work out…

*Shield system- Bleedthrough with melee and make sure that a head-shot does more damage to the shield than a chest shot does.

I hope everyone knows that bloom has always been in Halo. It’s only been visible in Reach. If you really want to “fix” the bloom, then you need to fix host advantage and lag. Those two issues alone contribute to why bloom seems like it’s random and unreliable. Dedicated Servers would solve this problem, and with Gears of War 3 introducing them, it’s a no-brainer that 343 should follow suit for Halo 4.

In Halo 4, if a female player model has it’s difference to the male model appearence wise, reflect it in first person. I’ve noticed in Reach the gaunlets and arms are the same as the male model always.

I agree with that, please keep killing sprees, and if there isn’t any armor abilities in Halo 4 (since it would break canon) will we have any equipment to use like the bubble shields or new stuff on the planet where Chief and Cortana are going? And please bring the health bar chief had.

  • 1-50 ranking system with exp or something similar (no progressive rank system like Reachfail)
  • No AA’s,
  • more like Halo 2/3
  • bots for custom games
  • custom games Matchmaking lobby finally
  • have even more map creation options expanding on forge

all I can think of so far …

I posted this in the multiplayer forum but someone told me to post it here. The subject is that there should be bots in Halo 4 multiplayer custom games.

Now there are reasons as to why Halo 4 should have bots and let me explain. But before that this is how they should work. First they should have difficulty selection just like Perfect Dark Zero and CoD Black OPs and Gears of War 2 if it had difficulty selection for bots. Obviously the 4 difficulties would be Easy, Normal, Heroic, and Legendary. They should become more difficult not by weapon strength but there inteligence and aiming capabilities. Also they must be unscripted.

Now for the advantages:

  1. People can use them to warm up for matchmaking.

  2. People can use them to test maps they make in forge.

  3. If you have no friends on, don’t feel like playing matchmaking, or your internet is down you can still have fun in customs.

  4. If online is permanently shut down for the game you can still play multiplayer even if you have no friends for split screen or LAN at the moment. I wish Halo 2 had bots for this reason.

And there you have it, this is why bots would be good for Halo 4.
