The Official Halo Farewell Thread

File Share should have been functioning from day 1.

Custom Games is virtually nonexistent, and the community has received zero acknowledgement.

The fate of those that paid more money for the LE copy is a shimmering golden example of how 343 cares about their customers.

The embarrassing screw ups 343 has been making are a shimmering golden example of their professionalism and level of preparation to handle a franchise of this magnitude.

The only redeeming services of quality are their weekly updates and spartan ops.

Halo 4 is an incomplete game sold at twice its value.

So today, I am going to trade it in for Black Ops II.

Farewell, Haloverse.

Not trying to defend Halo 4, because its not very good. But who in the right mind would ever think Black Ops 2 is better?

Another pointless thread. As I’ve said numerous times, bye, won’t be missed, et cetera, et cetera.

> Not trying to defend Halo 4, because its not very good. But who in the right mind would ever think Black Ops 2 is better?

Grow up sunshine, don’t play the game if you don’t like it. Simples.

Threads like this offer nothing.

Your “points” about “fileshare should have been ready day 1” are totally debatable and naive. However, they are not worth discussing with you since you have already claimed to make up your mind.

We will probably see you in the future in your next complaint thread, since you probably aren’t leaving. This is just a failed bluff.

Cya around on the forums.

It is sad that halo looses another great fan but I guess we will be seeing more and more long time fans dissapearing and by the time we reach halo 7 or 8 (you know they will do this )I won’t be surprised if either A.) every halo fan has been replaced by some cod kid or B.) Halo is an empty wasteland in which everyone who played it before is either dead or has moved on

I couldn’t have put it better myself.

Black ops 2 is fun and all if you’re not use to CoD games.

But see ya I guess, I’m assuming this topic was made for the sole purpose that you seek attention?

Well, here you go OP. If you ever check this thread again.

Its a game, it will have faults, but honestly the fact that fileshare did not work from launch (and still isnt working) really bothers me. I’ve always felt Halo wasnt just a game, it was a community. Fileshare is a big part of that, its unfortunate its not working still. I feel we are missing one of the most important parts of the game. Community. But… im still playing the crap out of it.

Black Ops isn’t better than this game. Your opinion is invalid.

I miss it too, but I am glad that the game came out on Nov 6 rather than delaying the game till who knows when, in order to deliver it with the addition out of the box. I’m glad I’ve been able to play it for the past months. They’ll add it when they can. I’m glad I didn’t have to wait any longer to play, even without FS.

Not trying to defend 343i as they are far too quiet and really need to listen more, but you realize that most of these embarrassing screw-ups are -Yoink!-'s fault right?

-Yoink!- determines the contents of the LE
-Yoink!- chose to give everyone the specs
-Yoink!- screwed up at giving everyone specs
-Yoink!- screwed 343 over with an early deadline to compete with COD
-Yoink!- failed at the DLC, and said it was a trial to avoid a law suit, and are probably still in hot water right now
-Yoink!- made the contract from -Yoink!- Gaming that apparently is causing MLG problems

Hell, -Yoink!- probably forced 343 maybe even Bungie to introduce many features to dumb the game down to gain more players.

Lol thanks for the laugh.

They also weren’t obligated to send the Specialization Codes to anyone, they chose to. A ton of is LE owners were very angry about that, as we felt our extra investment was being devalued, but we got over that. Now I just wish others would learn to get over their issues with the game.

This was my understanding of it too. Also been told that -Yoink!- pulling this kind of stunt is the reason Bungie wanted to move away from HALO in the first place. Much like the HALO movie being cancelled as -Yoink!- wanted to micrmanage direction/production.

Eh, I’ve always been a halo fanboy and have never given CoD more than a glance. But there’s nothing left for me in Halo now, so I guess I’ll check it out now.

That’s… exactly what I’m doing. Simples.

DayHawk says he’s leaving and then double posts.

These aren’t things that I just up and decided. I’ve been at least moderately active in these forums discussing and debating most of these issues. The game just came out, I’m not expecting changes immediately. But 343 has refused to even acknowledge the concerns of entire brackets of fans.

And you’re probably right, I’m still going to periodically check in on the forums and may even return if 343 can conjure some glorious excuse or update.
