The disconnects are unfortunate, but the fact remains that you shouldn’t be surprised that you received a ban for “only” quitting ten percent of your games
As I posted earlier, I was banned for a few days. I uninstalled the game to make space for other available games, and I don’t want to re-install the game just to see how much time I have left. Is there anyway I can check it online???
Just got kicked from infection because my fireteam changed. (I was playing solo and switched to solo apparently) Was then banned. This is starting to get annoying.
I wonder if 343 even looks at this thread or if they just use it as a garbage dump.

At this time, the only way to see the duration of your ban is the initial message that pops up when the ban is applied. There is no way to check ban duration on Waypoint.

no the only time you get told how long you are banned for is once the initial ban happens. if you know its a few days and its only been a day then you are probably still banned
Why are bans set in place for games not ranked? Like BTB? If it’s not ranked it shouldnt matter. Even though I think this type of control over players is stepping a bit over the lines of allowing people to play and do what they like I understand it to a degree in Ranked games. Never a ban for anything unranked. They just need to release social playlist.
Second why is assault no longer playable in Team Arena? Seems pretty odd that it’s gone… Also lame.
Thirdly what is 343 doing about banning booster accounts and cheating that is running ramped they matchmaking?
lastly how about them servers and what is being done to fix stability? No other games I play have such drop rates as 343’s Halo 5 servers.
final thought: isn’t it odd you will ban users for quitting as it ruins the experience yet we don’t know what your doing about booster accounts that do the same thing?

I’ve been having problems with Halo 5 matchmaking services a lot. I’m desperate at the moment to know whats going on. The game keeps kicking me out of the matches BANNING me for doing so. It has banned me (4) times already. I just want to enjoy the game. PLEASE HELP! GT: ProElite222

You must have forgot the DNF you have the game before. “Your welcome, we simple said don’t quit you won’t be banned, guess what you quit, then a game later you were banned for your quit, yep our fault completely”
but really though the system has a game or two delay between last quit an when you get banned. You usually get to finish one more game before being sent to time out. Easy solution stop quitting

tonight I played 2 games.
game 1 - cannot touch the opposition. 5 apparent headshots - nothing, 1 return fire and I’m dead.
At 25-7 I quit.waste of time.
Game 2 - exact opposite. We win 50-24 and the opposition are down to 2 players, presumably because they’ve quit as it’s unplayable for them.
after game 2 - I’m banned for 2:49 !!! a 3 hour ban for 1 quit! last played 3 days ago - no quits. Day before Saturday - no quits. WTF
I have crappy broadband (1.5M if I’m lucky). I don’t team kill(unless accidentally - I’m not that great a player even with a good connection), I don’t idle, I don’t -Yoink- around with the team - I try to play the game properly - and yet I get hammered way too often.
Seriously - if you can;'t guarantee players a balanced game - you can’t hammer them when they get frustrated and quit.

A big issue is players now derank to play lesser skilled players. So the system places them accordingly they just exploit the game. It’s not 100% 343. Without finding a solution to catching these players sooner from detaining mis matches will keep happening
Thats unfair, five hours without play just for a bad internet, the system is crap, you have to fix it.
I have lost connection to about 30 or so Infection matches over the past couple weeks if not more. It’s always immediately after getting the “Player left” message when during a round. The game ends and you get a “lost connection” error message.
I play lots of infection due to the fact most of the other playlist have gotten stale and I’m not that good at most of them anyway. Infection is a blast and more laid back.
Anyways, like stated earlier, I’ve “lost connection” too many times to count on this playlist and almost every game I do finish, there will only be 8-10 players remaining. At first, I thought maybe people weren’t quitting, they were just losing connection like I’ve experienced countless times, but then I played quite a few matches with a fire team and sure enough, “Player left” about 5 seconds later, lost connection. Happened at least half a dozen times with the fireteam as well.
I don’t quit out of matches, so I was never worried about getting banned due to the servers crapping out and losing connection, finally did get the ban for “not finishing” matches. It was only a ten minute ban, so no big deal, but the fact still remains that I got banned due to server issues, not quitting out of games.
I could really care less about the ten minute ban, but I’m afraid that these issues will continue and 10 minutes will become an hour, then 3 hours and so on…
I’ve also searched the forums and seen that many other people have this problem, especially with Infection, and I’m wondering when 343 is going to say what’s wrong with these servers. It’s one thing to have a laggy game now and then and for the game to lose connection every once in a while, but I would say roughly 20% of the infection games I’m in end in a “lost connection” error.
Anyways, just doing my due diligence and bringing forth the fact that the servers are crap lately, especially since the “hog wild” update. Fixing them would be greatly appreciated so I don’t have to worry about getting banned multiple times due to the fact that the host quits infection games.

If you accidentally disconnect a time or two, you won’t get banned. Instead the system looks for patterns that can’t happen accidentally. If the banhammer detects enough wrongdoing, you were doing wrong.

The ban hammer rule needs to fixed for the fact the social playlists are now involved it needs to be updated for the fact rage quitting happens or a kid needs to go do something in real life and they get banned for the fact that life gets in the way of multiplayer gameplay like seriously ranked play I see the system working perfectly but social needs to fixed.
