please read my numerous responses, through personal experience all weekend being kicked form the dedicated server does not show up as a game and does not register a DNF. (idk about the fire team message going around have not gotten it to test it out myself) stop using the dropped from dedicated server as a crutch to bans.

The search parameters of “focused” will often lead to server disconnects if the system doesn’t find players within its predefined configuration. These disconnects do not count as DNF. I checked my recent history and I don’t have any DNFs while using the “focused” search and getting disconnected. I just reinitiated the search. If I didn’t find a game after a few “focused” tries I opened the parameters to “balanced” and found a game and connected as per usual.

yea i count 36 DNFs in your history, 24 of them being within 2-3 weeks of each other during january and december. you were banned during that time, and maybe more then once, so now pretty much any DNF you receive on your game history will trigger a ban for you.
So i’m getting banned for dedicated server drops at the end of games. Instead of seeing the carnage report i get kicked out of the server every 5 games and keep getting banned. I now have a 24 hour ban because of this issue. Its a joke and this needs to be fixed. Help plz.

in may so far you have 14 DNFs. at one point you have 4 in a row and 5 out of 7 games. from what i saw all your DNF were games you were not doing so well and had a negative KD. once the announcer says game over and the timer is up that game is counted as a complete. due to the amount of DNF you have what is happening is you quit a game before, went to play another one or two finish it then after the game in complete (you dont have to see the carnage report for the game to register as finishing) the game is kicking you for you to serve your ban. i could not find any DNFs you had that looked like anything other then you having a bad game an quitting. or being at the bottom in FFA. if you were having “lost connection to dedicated server” message and kicked from the middle of a game that game would not register as even being played and does not count as a DNF either.

Sounds like it was a game invite that your friend sent and not a party, though it could also be a combined game + party invite. Party invites by themselves won’t take you out of your game
343 don’t understand that there’s many laggy matches in there game and people that don’t want to play in laggy matches are getting punished with the stupid banhammer bs. I know there’s not a lot of things they can do about it but seriously it’s so annoying to get banned for an hour just because I left one game because it was lagging .

if you are receiving the “lost connection to dedicated servers” message that game does not count in your game history and does not get recorded as a DNF. i know this from experience because it happened to me all weekend numerous times and not one game registers when it happens
if its the fireteam has changed message idk about that one

> Oh my whining babies. This isn’t a case of 343’s servers. This is a case of your ISP not being up to snuff. I rarely drop a connection but it does happen. I have never been banned. If you are being frequently banned, you need to learn about either DMZ, port forwarding, your ISP or your router. Stop the aching whining. We have a guy on our team who frequently lets his dog out and or stops playing randomly and he has been banned a couple times for a few minutes. If you’re being banned for hours, the issue isn’t the servers. It’s your setup. Grow the hell up and stop complaining. I think there should be stricter bans. I’m tired of playing 2 on 4 or 3 on 4 or even the other way around and looking up the quitters gamer cards to see that they’re playing another game of arena or they are playing the campaign. Finish the game and then move on to whatever else you’re going to play. Please unban. I answered my door to my parents and came back to 9 hour ban. Yes I have walked away not gotten back in time before this time was truly an unintentional situation
I was banned for 8 hours because the junk servers keep lagging me out. I checked my Internet and it was as good as it can get (40 MB Download and 80 ms Latency). How can you justify that? I have left only a select few amount of games and it only tacs on to your old time from days ago.
Just got banned for literally no reason at all. In the middle of an Infection game, round 2, got kicked and said the banhammer strikes. It said I got banned for leaving too many games, but have literally not left a game since I started playing Guardians like 5 days ago. It’s -Yoinking!- irritating that I can do nothing wrong and get banned. It’s incredible. Wanted to give this game a chance and this is what happens.

This is not true. Back in February I have been disconnected from game sessions about 3 times and was briefly banned for 22 seconds. Unless 343 has addressed this issue in recent updates, those disconnects does in fact show up as DNF. Note, I have not been playing Halo 5 much recently because I’ve been infuriated by that ban. It is insulting to get banned for disconnection losses only for to accuse me of quitting.
Just for the record: Before purchasing halo 5 I was fully aware of the Ban Hammer quit/Idle policy; so I would prefer you not attempt to refute this unless you are an official representative from 343i. I am 100% confident those DNF instances were related to disconnects. I have the screenshots and short game clip recorded but have no clue how to get it posted here for you to see.

If he winner is announced you were not banned for finishing a game. You had a dnf is a prior game an the ban kicked in after the one you just finished

i was giving a specific message as in I have now had this happen for 10 times in 60 games yet not one of those disconnects from that message even show up in my game history. I can also tel you its not luck or anything. It’s a consistent pattern. That is the only reason I am saying that is from personal experience from the disconnects. Also it goes to prove why none of my friends got banned in the past for lagging out numerous games in a row and receiving that message.
