Okay, I have to do my very best not to absolutely go crazy on you guys from 6 months of frustration with this so Iâm going to lay this out calmly:
Halo 5âs Banning system was designed by an idiot, the system can see patterns regarding disconnections when there are none and doesnât make contextual decisions based on what is going (eg, disconnection AFTER a game is complete counts as a ban worthy offense).
It also bans me for partying up with others when Iâm in a lobby. Thatâs not quitting or âUnsociableâ,itâs the complete opposite. It shouldnât be a problem.
At the moment, my Internet is pretty terrible and will disconnect for about a single second every now and then. There isno pattern and is more frustrating for me than anyone else. I get that no one is to blame for this but your Algorithms should be smart enough to understand that there IS NO PATTERN.
Iâm also sick of the 2 banworthy offense rules, it should be 3 like every other game as if I quit once, I will get banned at the end ofthe next game for âdisconnectingâ even though I have a good score, have finished the match and would only miss out on my final scores and REQ points. With 3 strikes, this would happen less and people would enjoy the game more.
Another problem is that the game bans you for FAR TOO LONG. I went from a 45 minute ban to an 8 HOUR ban for quitting once and then trying to join a friendâs game in progress. This is frankly unacceptable and each ban period should be 15 minutes to half an hour maximum as this allows people with bad Internet to rejoin sooner and not be penalised so harshly. This is fine for other players who betray, insult others or quit all the time as itâs likely that 30 minutes is enough to deter them.
Iâll be honest, Iâll quit only if I see that either I havw a laggy connectionwhich results in many missed headshots or if the team Iâm facing is woefully out of my league. Sometimes I get both. The latter wouldnât happen if two things were changed:
A) Stop teaming people of different ranks up with lower or higher ranked players in ranked playlists.
B) Use a better Algorithm to find more suitable player skill matches consistently.
At the moment, this is a HUGE problem for me and only causes me to resent the game I once loved more and more. Everytime I get banned from Arena, I take to Twitter, say what happened (often angrily written but I donât curse on Twitter) and add the hashtag â#Halohatesfeedbackâ. This may seem a bit juvenile but this is keeping in mind that I am literally at my witâs end with the banning system (and more so at the man or woman that implemented it) having tweeted to Halo, sent numerous requests for this problem to be fixed in almost all of my monthly Surveys and even Youtube Comments sections in their videos.
Finally I have come to the source trying to soet this problem out once and for all. I will continue to spread #Halohatesfeedback for as long as 343I ignore me and only when they do contact me about this issue will I stop as until they do, Halo really does hate Feedback and walks all over the individual players trying to help them to build the bezt game possible.
