Ugh I hate your ban hammer mechanics, I played 5 games today and I quit one game and I get Baned for 10 minutes. What is wrong with your damn mechanics 343?!?
Received a 45 min ban for quitting a laggy FFA SWAT match.
First warm up game of the day and now im done, fantastic!

I have a really easy solution⌠How about⌠343 makes a new playlist WITHOUT their stupid -Yoink- ban rules⌠So all the âhardcore, I never do anything with my life except game, and I have no real-life distractions to deal withâ players can keep their perfect connections, never-need-to-quit attitudes, and never-have-accidents games.
Iâve played 60 games and have been disconnected once (the most prior âDNFâ) and quit 2 others when I got the game because I recieved the XboxOne as a birthday present and had all kinds of family over⌠I let the games roll into the next games without remembering to back out so I could go and eat some food or hang out with family members.
So, okay, I quit. I wonât say I lagged out when I didnât (except the last one). SHAME ON ME. SCREW ME SIDEWAYS. But if you are going to ban me EVERY single âDNFâ and DCâs, especially slapping me with a 4 hour ban on my most recent (and only) disconnect thus far after 2 other quits in 60 games⌠then fine. Thatâs great. Iâll take it. But do me and everyone else a favor and give us a playlist that allows us to disconnect or quit in peace. I donât pay money for a game that can ban people for days at a time and NEVER RESETS. It is suicide to your own franchise and hereâs the kicker⌠I LOVE halo. It is the only plus-side I am ever able to give in any debate with a playstation advocate⌠and this is ridiculous. You probably wonât lose me to this ridiculous ban-hammer that takes away free-will and choice, but you will lose millions of others. No one will wait for a Halo 6 because they will have moved on to something else.
(Take note- I am aware that betrayals/suicides/AFK also count toward a ban (again, that is ABSOLUTELY nuts) but I have never gone AFK or had betrayals thus far and suicided twice in one match in SWAT on that map that has cliffs everywhere. So if those suicides are what contributed to a 4 HOUR BAN, then screw you 343 because you shouldnât ban for suicides like that⌠and if you will, then donât give us maps with an overabundance of lifts and cliffs. Better yet, to go with my original complaint- give us a playlist for all the players that have a suicide here and there on accident because we are still learning the maps- you can call it âBarneyâs Worldâ or âPadded Roomâ that way we know we are safe from falling off the maps for all the poor new-to-halo-5-map newbies.)
OH and donât even get me started about all you campers out there. Quitters, betrayers, and suiciders never get my blood boiling quite as much as campers and AFK players. Going to ban quitters and DCâs, how about we talk about campers. Yeah, hey 3.0 KD player, I see you. Guess what, you spend more than 30 seconds in any one room on a map, whether you are moving around in that tiny part of the map or not, guess what!? You get the good olâ banhammer. Take it like a champ. Sorry about ya. But no, 343 wonât do that. Because âthey are playing the game the way it was meant to be played, complete with spawn kills and camping!â Woohoo.
Alright so hereâs the problem, Iâve just moved to my new place and Iâve been dealing with internet connection issues since day 1⌠Iâve got plenty of ban for losing my connection, lagging out of the map, respawning there and dying, forcing me to quit, but this is the cherry on the top. First, the servers already sucks, so this plus my connection is hell, I just donât understand why I canât play for 3 -Yoink!- DAYS because I quitted a game that I was not even able to move without feeling like Iâm playing Gears of war 2 on 360⌠1 day ban was limit but 3 days⌠i just wanna play lol

I played a game of Infection, lose, started a game of the new team slayer (the summer preview I think) and it was CTF. I left that game only because we were getting destroyed and I didnât feel like sitting through a beating. I knew it generally bans people who quit 2+ games, so I started and finished a game of Swat. I didnât have any lag or problems in-game and completed it. As soon as it was over I was banned for no reason. I donât have any idea how to mod, so I donât fall under that category. I didnât leave that game for the general 2+ leave ban. And I most certainly am not impersonating anybody (mainly because I didnât even have a mic plugged in) and my GT and 4 letter/# Spartan Tag/code thing (sorry I donât know everything on a spartan card even through all of the Halo games) doesnât say anything relating to what I would assume is a 343 spartan card. So, how did I get banned? I donât have a timer, so its not like I can wait a select time then get back to it. It said when I got banned: You have been banned from Halo 5 Guardians. Then when I go check if I can do Arena it says that One or more of your Fireteam cannot do Arena. So, what do I do? Can the ban be removed/lifted for doing nothing wrong?

I believe this happened because you quit out of the CTF game and the ban generally has a lag time of 1-3 games before it kicks in. This means you can quit a game and start/finish up to 1-3 games after the game you quit before you will get the ban. If it is your first ban, it only lasts a few minutes. It stacks on top of each other (which is stupid) and it never resets. When you get a ban, a red banner will pop up telling you about the ban and there will be a timer on it near the bottom of the message.
Iâm going to assume since you have 4 âDNFâsâ out of your last 10 games, you probably have an hour or two ban but it is not an unlimited ban, so just check back in a couple hours. I think the âbanhammerâ is one of the stupidest things about Halo 5 but be careful- quitting games will stack on top of each other. It doesnât matter if you quit 4 today and only 1 next week, you will have another several hour ban placed on you.

you are very misguided thinking its 2+ then banned. once you have a history of being banned it will happen even after one game. you admitted you left a game beore then got banned. sounds like you arent as innocent claiming 'i did nothing wrong"

i retract my last statement. i misread what you wrote. but that is actually an odd occurance. but if you are ingame how do you know someone is joining your fireteam?
If 343 insists on keep this stupid -Yoink- system they need to modify it badly. Theres not reason why some people are getting banned for 48 hours is beyond -Yoinking!- ridiculous. The ban hammer never worked in reach and it doesnât work now. All its done is make people go to games that donât have such an idiotic system in place. I might as well just play Battlefield or CoD since they donât have such asinine rules.

if you posted under the GT that you were banned on maybe a little more clarity would be allowed. but this one shows you have not payed since the 9th. so IF you were banned on this on you would already be fine, but im going to assume you are using an alt account to post since most ppl complain once they get banned not once the ban is liftedâŚ2 days later

Because I was chatting with them at the time, and after the kick they were listed in my fireteam.

so i know you have prob already tried checking back again, but i think what might have happened. said friend tried to join your game in progress from the xbox menu, said friend successfully joined, said friend actually was the one who was banned and since he joined your fire team you got kicked from the game. but that still doesnt explain why you would be banned, unless you had a lot of DNFs in the past, then even one DNF can trigger a ban for you

Yeah, I checked, he wasnât banned. I went and looked and last DNF I had was 2 months ago (and no bans at all prior to this). Anyway, doesnât much matter, it was only 10 minutes. Just wanted to report the weird occurrence in case anyone official reads the thread.
I was just starting a game of Infection and right when the game starts, the screen suddenly goes black and Iâm returned to the lobby with a message saying âYour Fireteam has changed, returned to the lobbyâ and then right after that I get another message saying Iâve been banned for an Hour! What the hell?! I didnât quit the game AT ALL, it just randomly sent me to the lobby for no apparent reason, nobody joined my Fireteam either! This is not fair and I demand this ban be lifted!

If you didnât have those 7 DNFs before you would not have been banned.

Alright. Iâve had about enough of this -Yoink-. I just played 2 matches. The first one I did not complete, it was the summer preview and we were getting creamed. The second one was an Infection match and even though I was losing, I still completed it. I even made 8th place. Then all of a sudden, I lost my connection and was told I was banned for 16 -Yoinking!- minutes. Someone better -Yoinking!- answer me this time, as I am sick to -Yoink- about this -Yoinking!- -Yoink- up that 343i has made. I have no idea what I did wrong.
I am not a major quitter. I have never been banned for any other games BUT Halo -Yoinking!- 5. I am done. I am not going to play -Yoinking!- Halo multiplayer ever again. I was never too big into it. Halo 5 is the first one I tried to play a lot. But I literally have more important things to do than to -Yoink- around with this half broken sack of -Yoink-. -Yoink- you 343i. Lately Iâve been getting disconnected at the end of games and itâs not even my fault. My internet is just fine, but I still get kicked anyways. Now Iâm banned for 2 days, pls fix your garbage servers. This only happens to me on this game!
