I’m sorry… but what? Even if that’s true, every game has glitches - submit a ticket, and it’ll get fixed just like most glitches. Second of all, keep call of duty, one of the most garbage series (in my opinion) to ever exist for the past few years, out of this forum. It’s irrelevant to Halo, so don’t post about it here.
Lastly, robbery is forcible stealing of an object, financial assets, or other resources through the use of force or the threat of force - neither microsoft or 343 have threatened to use force on you. However, they have informed you if you leave games multiple times they have the right to punish you for it.
Granted, I think the banning system is out of line currently/not functioning properly, but I by no means believe it is something to sue over…
The only reason why I had to specify what robbery was is the fact that I am currently majoring in Criminal Justice, so, I don’t exactly like when people improperly label things.
Hi, I occasionally get a “lost connection” error upon the end of a match, right as the screen would normally switch back to the lobby and it has caused timed bans when it happens. The most recent was after a swat match with a 51 minute ban. Im worried that this might keep happening with worse and worse bans.

You wouldn’t get anywhere with a suit against them. You agreed to their terms & conditions when you first played multiplayer in Halo 5; those terms & conditions include the rules of the banhammer. 343i is legally able to halt service to anyone for pretty much any reason. The only thing you’d get from suing them is a bill from your lawyer.

i stopped looking when i saw 4 DNF on the first page alone. quitting FFA matches still gets you a ban for quitting even htough to you you might be hurting anyone else a quit is a quit.

i stoppped counting after 10 DNFS in your recent games. the lost connection message you are receiving at that part of the game is not causing you to get banned. once the announcer says game over it registers as a game player. the system is just kicking you out of the lobby to initiate the ban you received for quitting the game or two before that one. stop quitting and i bet you wont get that message anymore

yea so you must have forgotten the three games in a row that you quit right before right? the ban hammer has a 1-3 game lag on when it actually bans you. so normally you get to play one more game maybe a few more before you get banned. so you need to fix you attitude.

what was your excuse for quitting slayer and FFA back to back in a row also? yea forgot about those as well didnt you
Grifball betrayal bans should be cut from the game. If it’s taken this long for 343i to acknowledge anything (there’s alot to talk about there), its this.

Halo 5’s ban hammer system is childishly put in place with those afternath messages and with it’s array of reasons for striking.
Servers don’t work and you can’t access your REQs so you leave, BAN. An issue with their “dedicated servers”? BAN. Etc etc…
With that said I hope 343i acknowledges this in their forum and implements these fixes respectively. Can’t wait for the Reach update!

i mean it all depends on your team, the system isnt booting you your mates are. ive only been kicked on time for betraying teammates.

the reason you get banned is most likely due to the system not being able to tell if its is intentional or not. so getting kicked is all the same.
due to the ban length i assume you might have been banned a few times in the past as well, and i just dont see how you cant adapt and change your strategy at all to be more aware of your surroundings. like dont go swinging into a group of ppl or try and flank, or go for the guy that is around no one else.

If 343i’s Halo servers were working correctly, no one could claim they were banned from connection loss or randomly getting the “Left fireteam” (WHEN PLAYING SOLO!!) error. Yes, I quit matches; when I’m getting my -Yoink- handed to me in Slayer with 24 deaths and 3 kills. As is my prerogative to quit. Thankfully, that does not happen often. Usually, when I’m down 10, 15 kills I don’t quit. I don’t like quitting. If you were to look at my matches, though, it looks like I’m a bona fide 12 year old kid who quits as soon as I had a bad start, or was down two kills or whatever. I have a bucket-load of “DNF” matches, however, if you look at a lot of them, I “quit” when I have positive KDA (sometimes VERY positive KDA). Who does that?! Better yet, who does that SYSTEMATICALLY only to get another “DNF” match where everything is 0 just minutes after?! I have a lot of matches where I was not doing good and I got “DNF” on those too, If they were really bad, I might even have actually quit them. A lot of them, however, was not my fault. Most of you will probably not believe me, there is just one problem here.
All of MY “DNF” matches should be marked “DNF” because of a problem at MY end (Shutting of the XBONE, ISP-problems, ACTUAL QUITTING etc.)
BEYOND ANY REASONABLE DOUBT!!!
The fact that so many people are describing the very same problems as I have means this is a problem that 343i are having with their servers!!
To add insult to injurie 343i has the audacity to give their players a banhammer when 343i are causing the problem. (or at least MIGHT BE)
The fact that the banhammer is even used AT ALL when 343i cannot guarantee that they are not the cause of a “DNF” game is nothing short of a marketing suicide.
If bad servers wasn’t enough to get people to stop playing Halo 5; a repeated banhamer because of the very same, horribly under performing servers definitely will be!!
FIX YOUR SERVERS!!!

i agree the servers connection is the issue, but if you have that many DNFs, in a hypothetical world, whats to say its not your end causing you to lose connection. just for thought also are you state side or over seas?
I got banned after being kicked out of a game of FFA in Arena. The game message said I quit too many games when I never quit Arena, and if I do it’s incredibly infrequent. My GT is CALV4RY.
Same issues as everyone else. I get banned because of sever issues, I got kicked twice mid game, then “the ban hammer strikes”. Looking forward to improved sever stability in the future.
Just got banned for getting kicked out of the opening sequence of an FFA game. Ban was 9 hours. I have quit before but I got dc’d this time. Can this please be reversed?
Hi. I’m writing this because I’ve been banned for 9 hours for quitting a SWAT match where the other team was spawn killing, it’s not the fist time I’ve been banned. This chain of bans started on Friday, at my friends house, (I was there mainly to download Halo 5, which I bought a few days prior to Friday, because my internet was slow and it wouldn’t download at my house. So that was the first time I played the game) there I left 3 times due to the fact that every time we started playing they wanted to do something else or we wanted to eat, etc, that got me banned for 19:50’ish minutes. After that I got banned again on Sunday for 3 hours for just leaving one game (I’ll admit it, I raged quit) and then on Monday (yesterday) for 5 hours because of something urgent I had to do. Now, like I mentioned before, I’m banned for 9 hours because I didn’t want to stay in that crappy lobby. Is there any way I can get my ban lifted?
PS: Please, 343, stop trying to get everyone to be “MLG” on Halo 5, it just takes the fun out of it.
SO my issue is with the match making server. Upon completing an arena match (doesn’t matter what type) I get kicked from the lobby ( it says you have been disconnected from the server) after the winner is showed on screen and it treats it as a quit and my ban time is continuing to grow. Ive already contacted xbox and what not. My connection , latency , download and upload speed and NAT are all good. This is becoming a ridiculous issue for me. Is there any freakin way to stop getting punished for a Halo 5 server issue.
