So I am having connection difficulties in which I try to join a game with a party and it sends my party through but disconnects myself. So I tried going through without a party and I get in game for about thirty seconds, then I get disconnected from the game and server. This has enacted multiple bans to my account for no apparent reason. This also has de-ranked my account on more than one occasion. Would love to get some help so that I may be able to play, as this is rather frustrating.

I had gotten a ban 3 times beforeā¦ 24 hours for quitting once is still a bit harsh thoughā¦ in a match with two inactive teammates.
I was banned for :53 seconds, I initiated 2 swat rounds, the first round a few seconds in I was booted, the second time in succession I was booted after a minute or so, not my fault, donāt really know the problem attributed either, first time ever bannedā¦

Alright, this is junk. i was banned from the game because i was āquitting constantly.ā I believe i had only quit once because i had to leave to do something, can you please fix this!

I had to go grab some food from the Chinese, quit one game. came home and played absolutely fine, for 1 game. after that 1 game I was banned for quitting. so I quit, came home, played a full game then was banned for quitting.

Not really. OP makes it clear that the system operates by attempting to detect patterns in behavior. This may work very well in cases of betrayals and intentional suiciding, but many players have been banned simply because they had network issues one too many times. For now, the banhammer has no way to positively distinguish between network based disconnecting and intentional quitting. A lot of players donāt intentionally quit games and are actually innocent, but the system interprets their disconnects as intentional quits, and infers that they have done wrong. OPās notion that "f the banhammer detects enough wrongdoing, you were doing wrong" is not just disingenuous, it is flat out incorrect.

Not only that. Late quitters (say, the last 2 of a team) should not be penalized for quitting, especially if the game is already a blow outā¦like the 45-18 game Iām idling in right now to avoid being banned.
I got disconnected once then was banned. I mean I understand the ban system, but it was one time since i got the game when it came out iāve been dced and then banned.
So I quit a game. One game. I win the very next game. So I get banned for 34 minutes and get no credit for it?

I never get on the forums and have actually felt the need to say something tonight.
Earlier tonight I lost a Social CTF game 0-3, and right at the end of the game, before the scoreboard, it said I was disconnected and banned for 11 minutes. Wtf? Ok, must have been some stupid fluke. So I play a game of warzone and come back.
Fast forward to 5 minutes ago. I play another game of Social CTF and win 3-0. Boom same thing happens only this time Iām banned for a full half hour. wtf is going on? Any help would be nice.
I got disconnected because some kid got butt hurt we were winning. He rage quit and lagged us out right after it said i was banned for quiting. Just started playing online too. Bungie get your sā¦ together for people that actually want to play
