When I first jumped on the Halo 5 bandwagon I was quitting a lot and so it got to a two day ban, but I’ve since stopped quitting and a couple days ago I DC/ed and was only banned for like an hour. It’ll reduce if you stop rage-quitting etc… It’s not like Halo 3 where you could come and go as you please on Social playlists

I didn’t commit a single betrayal or quit a match, I quit the previous match but it was the first one I’ve quit in over a month (I kinda rage quit because lag kept killing me. I literally got Spartan charged from across the map). So, yeah. You can’t ban me for sucking at Grifball 343. You guys suck sometimes

That’s at least 20% at least quitting. That’s a lot actually. Multiple were right in a row. Also a day ban suggest this is not your first one. No excuses. You leave you get banned. I have no sympathy for someone admitting they quit an then still complain about being banned
if you want it in better perspective that’s 1 in 5 games you quit. So don’t laugh that it sounds like it’s to strict. It’ seems well earned

You weren’t banned for losing. The ban hammer takes everything into account I’m assuming you have been banned in the past for various reasons. All that adds up.

You have 3 Arena DNFs since April began. The game treats quitting or disconnects as DNFs, and too many DNFs can result in a temp ban. Perhaps you had a case built against you by the automated system in previous months that resulted in your recent DNF giving a ban.
If you are getting constantly disconnected, you may want to troubleshoot your internet connection.

Or you may be put on the wrong server in which case you being disconnected is in no way your fault. Not enough people are aware of this and assume it is your fault. Thats why the ban thread is so long. Dq in a game doesnt tell you where the fault lies despite what some people say (not you Chimera30 though, to your credit). Virtually every time i disconnected it was because i lagged beyond belief on an american server (i am a brit). In fact every game on a us server for me is an unplayable lag fest but that is for another thread.
I once got given a phantom ban from nowhere cos the game bans you and instead of letting you finish your game first, it kicks you like it did to me on my ban that wasnt. (It rescinded my ban when i rebooted blatantly cos i did nothing wrong.) It cost me 30 csr which still makes me angry now, and yet it hasnt been returned due to their incompetence. And get this, i hadnt quit in months or dq’d either so there was no reason for a ban. Why would i quit anyway? If i come 6th in ffa i lose 20 csr tops but likely 15, but 30 if i quit. Staying in a game is a no brainer! I had played and won (i think) the only match i played before that. So the blam up was entirely on 343s end. Of course 343 ignored my problem when i tweeted and msged them (they respond to pros though, surprise surprise! Or maybe they couldnt bring thrmselves to admit their mistake). So 343 if you are following, you still owe me 30 csr back on my ffa account and i wont accept anything less for your blam up.
343 please start actually looking at why your servers disconnect us when our internet is fine. And then dont ban us for your end failing us. We are getting punished for YOUR mistakes.

Finally got hit with 343’s ban hammer. I rarely quit. Usually it’s due to a bad connection that’s basically unplayable. But seriously I could count on one hand the amount of times I’ve quit. Tonight though there was a game that was absolutely horrible, losing like 29/7… it was probably the first time I had just quit because the match was going so bad. Got into another game just fine, lost that one like 50/45, then got banned after that?!

My problem is also on grifball. I got kicked today then went and played multiteam. It then banned me for betraying on accident LAST game. I didn’t betray anybody in the multiteam game in fact we won. I’m not sure what’s going on but their ban system needs some adjustment. Especially if it was a game late.

its generally is alwasy 1-2 games late that the ban will kick in. nothing wrong with it at all
I need to know why I was banned. Again. After playing two games I go to the bathroom and come back to my screen saying I was banned. I don’t cheat nor do I idle. It happened yesterday and today after grifball. There can’t be a digital case against me for something I haven’t done. If it’s because of TK, it’s ludicrous. I don’t deliberately kill teammates .I am the main one giving protection to our team. I can’t help it if I get more kills than everyone. I’m really not all that good. And I get killed plenty.
Edit: It says for griefing my teammates??? Because I accidentally killed them? Even though I wasn’t kicked. On grifball there needs to be a better system. It’s a hammer smash fest that is bound to get a teammate killed periodically. People are so eager to have a teammate kicked that accidentally hits them. Stupid.

I’ll be the first one to admit that I quit games, not a ton but enough to warrant a ban. I quickly learned my lesson and I only quit now if I absolutely have to, yet I’ve received three more quit bans after strange disconnects that are out of my control. Such as being kicked out of the lobby in the post-game carnage report screen after the game has already ended and been banned for it.
I get the system, I did wrong at first but being banned for semi-frequent server hiccups is kind of lame.

If you were banned without playing a game, as in the message came us as soon as you tried to play, then this will be a ban being set from a previous offence. The ban system runs one game behind so you likely triggered a ban the last time you played. The message would have been shown to you after your last match, but as you stopped playing it is being enacted now
