Well I just wanted to point out that the system isnāt working quite as intended and there are hiccups.
Im not really upset about it but I did get an 11 minute ban on the 6th of April because I lagged out of a FFA match with only seconds left.
I checked my arena history. The previous time I lagged out was in a btb game (75 games played earlier).
IMO that doesnāt show a history of either quitting or having to many connection problems. And yes I do lag out of games at times but I never quit them.
I just got banned for 24 hours for Griefing my Teamates. WTF?!?!?!? Iāve been banned 48 hours out of the last 3 days. Ban System definitely needs to be fix. And now with the Major Server issues Xbox has been having. Iām thinking of switching to Playstation if they donāt get resolved. I LOVE HALO AND XBOX BUT THIS IS BECOMING UNBEARABLE
Over the past few days I keep getting kicked from matches and I get the error āYour Fireteam has changedā or something along those lines. Sadly I am playing by myself and I havenāt been in a Fireteam. I donāt know why it is doing it but it is happening about every third or fourth game and now I am starting to get bans from it because it says I leave to much. This is happening in both Warzones and Arena. Is there anywhere I can fix this? Someone suggested setting my Fireteam options to āinvite onlyā but it doesnāt seem to stay that way, it will just switch back to friends. Any help would be greatly appreciatedā¦I may just unstill the game and reinstall it if this keeps up, itās getting old pretty quick.

SAME PROBLEM WITH ME! Im guessing yours was for Grifball as well? I got mine last night and I dont understand why 343 thinks its a good idea to add a damn mark the betrayer option inside a gamemode where betrayals are part of the game. 23 hour ban give me a freaking breakā¦ Gotten banned daily now for betrayals and service issues and its -Yoink!- me off to the maximum
I FIXED IT!! Thanks to Xbox Support we figured out if you go to Halo 5>Manage Game>Saved Game Data>Delete from Consol. The issue was resolved.

I am complaining about the ban hammer I have been playing this game all week and due to the fact that the servers were down Saturday i was going to play this Sunday. I was playing and had to go so i was kicked due to inactivity, that is my fault. When I played another game about thirty minuets later and finished the game, but as the final image of the wining team was playing it said connection to server lost then i was banned for 22 hours. this has happened to me all week I like the banning rule to prevent quitting but if it is going to be so harsh make sure it is the players fault not the player getting punished for the bad server.

Crazy idea 343i, how about friendly fire off in griffball? Or, even better, donāt have a pop up option mid match where a commonly used button implies ban consent? If players feel someone is griefing they should just bring up the player menu and select that option.

I feel you banned 24 hours because of Grifball. All because of the mark the betrayer option
I dont understand how the system works. I recently been kicked for accidentally betraying in Grifball. Oh well it happens. I then get a 20 minute ban. The reason I donāt like this is because my leaving games to not is so incredibly small, I feel the system is too damn sensitive. I believe I have been booted like 4 times in the time H5 has been out. Maybe 1 earlier this week but I canāt say for sure. The game randomly disconnects me and I have DVR proof of all recent DCs. And I havenāt rage quit in weeks. I donāt like how my bans are increasing even though Iām not a avid quitter/boot(ee??) So say im still playing a year later, over that time I get kicked and the odd rage quit happens, will I get my 20 minute to hour? Itās stupid. The system is flawed from what I see. It should say āOh look, heās played 50 games since the last kick, lets reset him to a minute ban because OBVIOUSLY the previous encounter ARENāT intentionalā
Iām sorry I may sound a little feisty but cmon, betraying and odd quit happens. Iām just thinking well what happens a year later? Will my record still add up that lead to a forever ban? Now that is a joke
Edit: I went back and checked, I did get booted almost 50 games back from this one. DC proof -> go a little further and you will see a DNF on Viking which was a DC.
Hello my console permanently gets disconnected from the Halo 5 guardians servers. As a result i get the bannhammer in the Face. First i thought it was maybe a mistake but After 4 Games i got banned for like 2 Hours. Please help me!!!
Iāve been banned 3 times within the last 24 hours. First time was completely out of no where and didnāt even bother making up an excuse for it. Second time was because I āquit too many matchesā which was a total of one single match. Didnāt even get banned right away, got banned a few matches later when 343ās garbage servers disconnected me. Third time, again āquit too many matchesā by quitting one match. Again wasnāt actually banned until 3 matches later. 343 fix your broken -Yoink-, this is unacceptable. People are paying good money for this game any youāre just -Yoink- slapping all of us, waving your ban hammer around like a 2 year old, trying to see how many people you can hit with it who donāt deserve it. I canāt believe you guys have the nerve to claim your ban system is āflawlessā an āonly bans those who have it coming to them.ā Iāve never seen a worse ban system in my life.
Edit: make that 4 times today. Screw this broken system. It needs to be scrapped and recoded from the ground up, without any trace of this original code. Because this current code runs on pure -Yoink-.
I keep getting banned due to accidental team killing in grifball, which happens all the time in that game type. Now I seem to be permanently banned from arena due to this. Im not going out of my way to kill people on my team but now I am permanently banned due to accidents. What the hell 343? Never had these issues when Halo was under bungie.
Near the end of many area games i get kicked like right before the winning team stands up and im getting banded for leaving matches what can i do to stop this
I just got banned from arena thanks to grifball accidental team killings. Please 343 make it so that team killings are off in grifball so nobody has to deal with this. itās too hard NOT to kill a team member with a gravity hammer and is ruining my enjoyment of multiplayer as a whole!

I went back to the first of April and found four DNFs, which isnāt that horrible, Iāve had more in a shorter time span and not gotten banned.
So I checked the stats, all but the first ones had you at negative KD. Now bear in mind I do not say you rage quit, I just think itād be logical for the banhammer to do so.
I do think the banhammer makes a difference between disconnects and quitting. Like, if you use the leace option it weighs more than a disconnect. After that I think it measures your score and team score relative to others at the time of you leaving the match. As we also have a delay on the actual sentence, it might even look at the end result of the match, thatās open for speculation though.
