I swear to God if I get another -Yoinking!- ban from the host lagging and disconnecting from me I’m breaking this mother -Yoinking!- disc! Why pay 60 bucks for a game when I get banned ever two seconds cause someone else has a -Yoink- connection!!!
I only play Halo 5 with one friend. I’m the only person in my house. I always host the games we play and we only play online together. We have never quit a game, not once. Today, my friend was in my party and fireteam but did not get brought into our game. I quit so that we could attempt again. I then found out I was banned. Again, I only play online with this friend and we have never quit a match. Can someone help?
EDIT: So I have logged into my profile and am viewing my game history under my profile. I have only 1 DNF, the game I just mentioned. All of my other games have been completed, as I mentioned above.I can submit screenshots if needed
I just logged back in Halo 5 and I’m banned for 5 hours for “qutting too many games,” but I NEVER QUIT ANY GAMES!!! What the hell is going on?
Edit: Nevermind, my roommate just told me he exited Halo, while still in matchmaking, but that’s still a long as hell ban, just for one mistake.

By the way, consider people like me who live out in the rural area, a lot of us who live out in the rural area, who get decent connections but they’re not the same as being wired up in the city. Be considerate. I know you live in the city, but some of us can’t pay for 20mbps which was unheard of a few years ago. As far as Rural goes, internet has nothing to do with it. Xbox 360 had nothing to do with it. Get some laggy games if you’ve got a bad host. It’s poor matchmaking, and a poor ban system. People are going to quit if they’re going to quit. We all have to deal with that. But I can’t deal with a host in Europe or Russia because the Matchmaking system is awful.
Now aside from rude, inconsiderate, entitlement…
Broadband, 5mb per second. Solid connection with Live. Never had any problems lagging out on my Xbox 360 here or otherwise. Don’t have any problems with GoW: Ultimate Edition. I think I’ve purposely left, since buying Halo 5 last December, a whopping total of two matches because I had lost track of time and had to leave.
I have been lagged out at least 16 times, in fact, Upon FINISHING an Arena or Warzone game where I had NO stuttering whatsoever, I’ll get lagged out immediately after entering Intermission, and then get banned. This is absolutely ridiculous.
Havent played for about a week at least. 2nd game finishes up saying victory and BAM “you have been disconnected from the server”. And now im banned for “idling” after i capped the flag twice in the last game. Sick, back to the division i guess smh
I like how I left one game and it said “you were banned for quitting too many games.” I guess 1 game was 1 too many. Didn’t mind TOO much since I was getting offline but figured I’d mention it here in case that’s an issue that needs looked at.
I’m thinking about not playing Halo 5 because of the banning issue. I was banned 2 weeks ago after disconnecting and I am still banned when the message said 3:45. This is ridicules.

I just got banned for “poor connection to the dedicated servers”. My internet is stable as a rock; 100 Mbps up, 13 Mbps down, 25 ms latency. I have no issues with any other online games, streaming, or anything. I have literally never quit out of a game on Halo 5. Every single DNF is due to the dedicated servers connection. Please tell me how to fix it, and I’d love to because it’s super frustrating not getting REQ points, causing my teammates to lose after I get d/c’ed, and de-ranking to bottom tier diamond since I can’t stay connected.

Every day over the past month I get booted from the servers even after hard reset. I get 3 or 4 games then it just starts booting me in the middle of games.
Now I’m banned because I was booted from a few games (I never leave voluntarily, even 2V4)
Given that the campaign sucked and 343 focused on MP, you would think they could get their servers fixed.
Hopefully some company with more than half a brain can create a FPS that works online and off.
Either fix your issues or you will kill the Halo franchise even more than it currently is.
I was kicked out of three games of warzone yesterday morning. Received a ban after that. My internet is not the problem. All the games started fine, then a few minutes in I was out of the game.
I don’t quit games, and recently i’ve been getting banned after fully completing a game, but the system says that i quit it. My carnage report shows my stats and that the game was finished. this is so frustrating. i’m literally banned for 30:00 and i did nothing wrong. could it be my internet? i have internet through metrocast and i have the package suited for online gaming, but i still find myself lagging, and my xbox is the only thing on the internet. could it be the halo servers? HELP.
I dont usually post here but i have a read on here occationally and have been playing halo since CE (its my favourate game franchise) and have never been banned and now today i came back onto halo after about a months absence and have played a few games and am now banned, dont get me wrong its only for about 8 minutes but the thing that is annoying me is the “reason” i was banned, which was because my internet cut out mid game so i was like “ok, i was getting my -Yoink- handed to me anyway ill just play another” at which point a bug that i have dealt with since this game launched hit me: “I can only play 2 games in a row before i have to stop for 5/10 mins because if i try to find a game i get kicked out as the game is about to start!” and then BAM banned! I just wanted to say, if its got to the point where you ban players because you STILL haven’t fixed your game then i think you need to take a look at your banning system. Im a honest player who supports and LOVES halo and dont think i deserve to be banned, and my fear is now i have been banned once if it happens again it will be for longer and longer, to the point where I wont be able to play the game anymore, its like you dont actually want me to play.
PLEASE fix the bug where it kicks certain players after playing 2 games. I read allot about it when the game first launched and people were suspecting it was from being part of the xbox preview program. i honestly cant believe you haven’t fixed it and are now banning players because of it. Stop punishing your fans 343.
Griffball - the ban hammer needs to be removed from this game type.
It is impossible to play a full game without betraying accidentally.
The banhammer should be removed on ALL social playlists!

I keep getting banned for no reason almost every time I play. The other day I got banned in the middle of an FFA game (where I was very close to winning). I haven’t violated the rules, but for some reason I keep getting banned.
