I haven’t quit in 82 matches, and usually try not to. It’s been over a month. I started a game of Grifball where two of my teammates left immediately and it didn’t seem it worth my time. Why was I banned? I haven’t quit in over a month and leave because my two teammates left, basically making it unplayable anyways. This is -Yoink–ing stupid. I’ve seen people complain about the banning in this game before, but always just assumed that they deserved it. I don’t deserve this at all. It’s complete -Yoink-.

Doesn’t matter…they won’t listen or do anything about it
The Ban System in this game is Garbage! I wish it was like Bungie where you have to quit consecutively before being banned, this one you leave a match because it’s a 1 against 4 match, but you still get banned. I like this game but the Ban System needs to be adjusted. Also, when does the Ban Hammer reset I’ve left one match today and now I have to wait an hour. The last time I left a match was 3 days ago! One other thing, I play one match all the way through but I still get banned?
I have a legitimate question, not just complaining, which I assume you’d most see in this thread.
When does the ban timer start?
Example: I just quit a game earlier today in FFA (so doesn’t really matter that I quit, I wouldn’t quit in a game type that would screw over my team). I quit, I deserve the ban. No arguments there. I expected to be banned. So I quit the game, expecting the ban to come, I stopped playing, turned off my xbox, and went about my day for a couple of hours. I figured that would be plenty of time for whatever ban I incurred to have worn off, so I got back on and that is when I see the banhammer notification. I expected it to be done by now, but it wasn’t. It seems that it waited until I tried to play again before the timer started.
Does the timer only run when you attempt to play the game? Or does it continue running when you are not playing?
Any information would be great.
So I was playing arena with no problems at all. Then I had to leave for family matters and obviously I had to quit a game I was in. I was gone about an 2 hours. Then I get back and I started to play more arena without any problems. Then I started to get on a decent winning spree with the game modes (Grifball) and the Social (Fiesta). Both are amazing game modes and are super fun. After wining 4-5 matches in Fiesta, I switched over to Grifball. I won once, and everything was fine. However after my second win. It had just started to play the animation of the winning team, and it kicked me out for no reason stating that 1 or more players in my fireteam was banned. Well. I was the only person in that “fireteam” so it was me that was banned. For no reason at all. I was winning. I was going to continue to play because I was having fun. Now for what ever reason I have that warning, and the next notice I could get is a 1 day ban. But I didn’t leave too many matches. I left 1 to help my family. I was banned while on a winning spree when I had no intentions on leaving. Basically I’m asking if there is something wrong with your banning system. If its a bot and its not working correctly. Or if maybe someone has managed to hack your system and ban people for winning when he losses. That is a possibility. I would like to know because if I’m going to get banned for playing the game the way 343 wants it’s players to play… Then I might as well stop playing. If anyone else wishes to add to this, with more questions or if anyone has also experienced this or with answers. I would be grateful.
So i while ago i got banned, why? because i quit games. yes spare the the bs of “you shouldnt do that” etc. Well the reasons i quit;
1st. I was in a team of golds against diamonds and an onyx, needles to say we got recked.
2nd. after 3MINUTES my entire team left. So its me against 4. Thats unfair in every single possible comprehendable way.
This happened MULTIPLE TIMES! so 343 either fix the matchmaking system or fix the banning system because its absolute -Yoink-.

Not true its been known and posted repeatedly that quiting a custom game or forge game WILL get you a ban. It’s known.
again i got a fcking ban, only because the fcking halo bug, that i lost my connection at the end of the round. And this happens only in halo -.-
I’m a late-comer to Halo 5 (had a kid and just now getting back into it). So, the first day I played, I initially would quit games just so that my K/D ratio wouldn’t be so bad. But, since that time, I rarely quit, maybe at the most once. However, yesterday, I quit once, and I was banned for nearly 3 hours - and that was after I played a few games after the one I quit from. Can you please look into “resetting” my ban since 3 hours seems excessive?

That’s what its set to be though. Its excessive to you since you got the ban, but its exactly how the makers of the system wanted it to be.
Why do I keep getting booted in the middle of the game???

I respond here when I can, but lately I haven’t had time to sit down and look through posts (see earlier in the thread where I have addressed multiple users). Have to note though that monitors are just volunteers, we don’t work for 343. I provide support and advice where I can, but monitors are here primarily to keep the forums clean 
So… I haven’t played halo in months. I played probably 10 games tonight and quit ONE GAME and got banned. I’m pretty pissed, considering going back and playing density. If I had quit several games I would understand, but getting the ban hammer for quitting once is -Yoinking!- stupid. What’s the deal?
If you quit you should get banned for at least a day. Same for having sucky Internet. Here is a great idea…pay for better internet. I am sick and tired of people quitting or being dropped for having sucky Internet. You should get banned. Thanks 343 for having this system.
I have put up with getting team killed for the past 2 days and quit my very first game this evening to take a phone call so I wouldn’t AFK. This is Ban Hammer worthy? Come on ladies and gents at 343, is this justified balance (you guys don’t count lobbies do you, because that would be a little ridiculous). No rage here, just very let down.
I finish games and after the game it says lost connection. Never do I lag or have any issues. Just post game. Then I get banned. I may quit one every day or other day so isn’t like quiting is an issue. It’s the repetitive ban from connection lost. I have never lost connection during an actual match

Is this… please, tell me this is sarcastic. Ban people because their connections to a dedicated server is lesser due to things outside their control, like region? What kind of argument is that? That’s how games lose players and die.
How does quitting an arena match stacks the warzone ban duration?
