This has now happened 3 -Yoink!- times - I finish a game but instead of making it to the results screen it kicks me all the way to the lobby and says I have been banned, but for no actual or clear reason
I clearly didn’t quit the game; I can view my carnage report in all 3 clips below, and in the case of one you can even see I ranked up but was still banned for what seems like disconnecting from the POST game lobby even though I clearly did not actually quit
i have been banned many times.always occurs after game has finished and before score screen appears,connection lost. it is not my network,fibre ,open nat, everything fin.getting banned by a problem with your servers. tierd of it.good game but cant play it.
Hahaha this is a joke. I go into matchmaking with a buddy of mine. He starts a game while mine sits there saying it’s starting the dedicated servers. I get randomly booted to the lobby, go to join him because there was an open slot and I’ve been banned for quitting too many times? This is a complete joke.
I’ve never quit a game before (at least that I can think of) on halo 5 before until this one game. I was just paying swat with my brother and he was saying really rude things so I left the game, and now I’ve been banned? I mean it’s not a super big deal because I can wait for ten minutes, but I’ve never quit a game before…do you get banned for quitting just one game?

You can check the game history to see if there are DNF games on your account during the time he was playing. You can also ask him what he was doing while playing on your account (was he idling, betraying, or quitting games?).

After looking at your game history I was going to compile a list of all your DNF’s of your recent game history, I found a pattern early on where you would DNF 2 or 3 games in a row, but I thought there must be somthing more, so I dug a little deeper.
I think your problem is on one particular day that has caused the banhammer to strike so heavily, now maybe you were experienceing dropouts from the servers, if that is the case I suggest restarting your router and going wired connection if you are connected wirelessly.

This is what I think the banhammer regards as Habitual Quitting.
I would suggest no more quitting, even if your getting -yoinked- in the arena, if members in your team leave suck it up and finish the fight, don’t betray and throw 'nades near team mates(think before throwing). Don’t start a match and then go AFK/AFC(see below)
Think to yourself before going into an Arena match-Am I going to be called away to do something. If the answer might be yes go and find out, do it first, then play Arena.
If there has been a problem with connection, then troubleshoot it and try and resolve the issues, do a ping test to see if you have **Packet Loss(this can lead you being dissconnected from the servers)**I also would sugest looking through you game history and count the number of DNF’s on the day’s that you play, I have maybe 1 or 2 DNF’s in my entire history and both of them I actually quite the match, I never voluntarily back out/quit a match. Hence I have never been banned.
the ban hammer is a tad off.
few times I will be off for a few days, then get on and play a few games and then suddenly after finishing a game I’m banned.
always lasts maybe 5 minutes so not too bad but annoying
The banning system in halo 5 is complete garbage. Over the past 4 hours of playing I have quit two games, one game was 3v4 where it was something like 30-10, and the other was 1v4, and after I quit that match I got banned. There needs to be some sort of mercy rule, where if the other team is smashed, it would end the game, but if they are down a couple players, it should automatically stop the game, and it would not be on their service record.
OR AT LEAST MAKE IT SO THAT IF IT IS A 1V4 SITUATION, YOU WON’T GET BANNED FOR LEAVING! This is something I think they must add, especially the way the ranking system works. It sucks when you’re trying to get up to onyx, and when everyone else on your team quits (and you do too, after getting pummled into the ground 15 times), you get ranked down from diamond 5, down to 4, and banned.

5 Arena DNFs and 8 Warzone DNFs since the beginning of March. That is what is likely contributing to your ban. Leaving Custom games and Forge games won’t get you banned.

I usually stick out a match even if the players on the other team outnumber me greatly or perform better. I actually like the challenge most times.
Today is the first time I have been banned from Halo 5. I accidentally joined a game type I didn’t want to play, so I left immediately. I then chose the next game mode correctly, played through to the end and even placed top over all. I did not get the chance to view the scoreboard after the game and was given a ban. I haven’t played the game in close to 24 hours and I had not left any games the day before.
WTF is the purpose of a 3 minute ban? Seems pretty ridiculous.
Edit - I just noticed I can check my history and only have one other game listed as DNF, but it is clear that I finished the game by the results of the game.
I sometimes get through a game and then seem to lose connection to the host or something and then unable to view the scoreboard from that game. If this is giving me DNF games that are counting towards a ban, that needs to be addressed.
Edit - Post below mine knows the deal. How about when you want to return to the multiplayer arena game mode selection screen after a game… Sometimes the game disregards your desire to stop playing and quickly loads up another match for you. Forcing you to quit if you actually did not have the time to play that match. (This just happened also)
I got banned for 30min, only because i lost the connection to the end of the round and that always happened. But my internet is good and i always have a connection. ITS only a f*cking halo bug!! D:

People need to realize it’s NOT FUN to have a losing streal, and people quit games. SUCK IT UP. Reverse these frickin’ bans…
If someone impersonates an Xbox Mod, or something serious like ripping someone off somehow, that’s understandable. But for the love of god…STOP ####ING banning people for quitting games! It happens. Bathroom break, frustration from losing too much, etc!
