No. Stop idling through matches and you won’t get banned, then you can play all you want
I only left one game, in which my screen was glitched and said the playlist was Team Arena but was actually Slayer, and was banned. I may have left a couple other 3v4s, nothing that should warrant a ban.

You just can quit twice before getting banned. So it’s not like several quits in the same day, besides teamkilling should be only reason for getting banned on a social playlist. I only play superfiesta for the fun of it, nothing else.

How long was your ban duration? Looks like have 12-13 DNFs in your last 100 games.

I lag out sometimes, but nothing other than the slayer I left within3 hours of my ban
Does anyone know if ban timers ever reset?
This is outrageous I swear everyday I get on there’s a new ban I played two games today and then back out and I still got banned
i know this is an old post but unsure where else to go for help. Just been banned on halo 5 as I was afk but the bannner doesn’t tell me how long I am banned for. I would assume it is not permanent as this is the only time I’ve been banned from my knowledge and I was only afk. If someone could help that’d be great thanks.

I went idle. Guilty as “charged.”
Haven’t played in years, didn’t know there were strict rules now. Glad to see these changes.
However, on my last game:
2 people quit on the other team. 4 vs 2. I don’t see the point of banning someone for going idle when half the other team quits. I led my team in kills before I idled around 4 mins in (though it was complete luck). I’ve been playing Halo before most of the people here (see my gamer tag, you don’t get a tag like that these days). Agree that idling hurts the game, when there is a complete game. I’m sure there is code that can be written to allow idling when 2 or more players quit.
Still happy to the the new changes.

My 5 year old son has been playing on my account, and I log in to play and I see I am banned. I’ve only been playing halo 5 around a month and I’ve never been banned prior to this on any other games. I am urked, but how long does the ban last if I can’t even play customs?

There is a timer that appears on the ban notification screen. After you close that screen, it won’t appear again. You can try closing the game and reopening to see if it triggers the ban notification again.
Generally, first-time bans are short. It’s probably over by now.

Idling is worse than quitting. It feeds the enemy team kills, resulting in even more disadvantage for anyone who decides to stay in the game. In situations where someone leaves on your team, you should quit instead of idling. The game forgives quitting if you are not the first person to quit (at least in ranked).

I was not doing any of those things, my MMR is so high on my smurf and main account and I match champs all the time. I accepted my 1st ban but the 2nd should be revoked. I was in no way deranking or ranking anyone up whatsoever.

Looks like you have nearly 20 DNFs in your last 100 games - you never got a smaller ban for quitting first?
I would love to understand why I got banned for 20 days? I’m so incredibly confused. I got banned from both Arena and warzone. I know I’ve gone idle a couple of times in Warzone but not enough to get banned for 20 days. And I NEVER quit arena games unless my teammates leave me which happens more often than I’d like. But I never leave on my own. I’ve invested a lot of time into this game I’m 2.5 million XPs away from my 152 and now I’m banned for 20 days. It makes no sense. If you look at my past games you’ll see I finish every arena game and warzone game with the few exceptions of being idle in warzone. This is my first ban in about 3 years and that ban was for maybe 10mins. Please help me understand why I’m banned for 20 days. Again I’m so incredibly confused right now. I’m not cheating, I play fair, never body disrespect, I dont try to derank, Im just busting my butt off to get my 152 and my onxy in doubles. So why the ban? Any feedback would be great. Please and thank you.

Your ban was for deranking/rank manipulation.

You answered your own question several times.
I understand the ban from warzone i guess but WHY arena as well? And why 19 days when I slipped up a few times in the past 3 years? Makes absolute no sense. You have players quitting games, going idle multiple times, and nothing happens. But when I mess up a few times in warzone bam 19 day ban both from warzone AND arena. Sorry but that’s not right.
