I have not exited the post game lobby, but in the first case I switched games completely and in the second I went to the Xbox home screen; so I was not playing the game anymore. How does the game not recognize that I left the game completely? Really annoying, anyone else experience this? Thank you

You didnāt leave matchmaking. You didnāt close the app. Your last three dnfs are singles so you werenāt thrown into ātwo gamesā etc. If you want to quit, leave matchmaking. Donāt idle (or do any other misconduct) and you wonāt get banned
So if I leave a game, and then leave a game a week later and then a month later. Does it add up regardless of how long ago it happened?
So if Im banned 10 minutes in 2020, I will get banned 20 mins in 2021 because I been banned before?
Reason Im asking is because I recently got someone on my door waiting for me to finish the game, and I want to be able to leave sometimes without getting banned long term.

If Iām not mistaken, the ban system in H5 is similar to the one used in MCC, meaning that it records everything for 3 hours then resets. (or itās 24 hours) Hope this helps.

This is not the case for H5. The āforgivenessā in Halo 5 has never been detailed, but you can read back in this thread and see that plenty of people have still gotten worse bans after more than 3 hours passed since their last ban.
How do I see how long my my ban is after exiting the message? My 4 year old daughter was playing, I left the room real quick to take a phone call and she left shortly after and Iām assuming she left it idle. But she went back to start playing again (within 5 min) and said it wouldnāt work and she must have exited the message. Iāve never been banned before, I didnāt even know you could get banned until this all happened and I started researching it. Iām really surprised since we were only out of the room for 5 min but I understand if she left it idle. Iām actually really glad that Halo 5 does ban people and I really appreciate it because it sure prevents people from ruining the game for others. Itās been about 30 min now and still banned. How do I see how long the ban is and why she got banned after exiting the message?

If you close the app and hard reset the console the message will usually reappear when you start back up again,

Ah, so Iām unbanned again it seems. Someone has to acknowledge my points. It looks very bad for 343 to silence dissenters when they have no valid argument to back up an unacceptably long ban.
> I never said I wanted mod privileges, nor do I pick sides. Iām trying to explain that it doesnāt matter how long you played with the cheater, what does matter is the fact that you think you did nothing wrong when in fact, you did.
Please explain how what I did was cheating. I didnāt get banned for cheating, I got banned for manipulating the matchmaking system, which is still not what happened.

Yo so I have about four months left, can someone tell me why, my first time ban duration is that long?
My posts are being blocked and hidden but all the answers given avoid the main question being asked.
Why is my first time ban 135 days and 12 hours? (remainder of season, plus entire next season)
Got inside h5 yesterday and surprisingly got a ban banner detailed like this:
Your gamertag, Clan or ID service tag is innapropiate. 183 days banCould“t believe at start and thought this was a joke. Not anymore since I signed up today.

If I remember correctly (and I may not) a ban of that duration is from attempting to manipulate the ranking system.

Hey G0nc3p -
I chatted with Enforcement, it sounds like the wrong drop down was selected. Your ban was for idling in Warzone FF.
Banning should only exist in the competitive playlists, not in the social ones since those are to have fun instead of being competitive. I play now and then when I have time, and I quit a match a few times because I get busy or something comes up and now I see a 3 hours ban, unbelievable!! Also quitting is not a bad behavior since is not in the official Xbox code of conduct. You guys should change those rules, at least for the social playlists.

I totally agree, only matchmaking rule that should be in social is no team killing. Quit bans in social are dumbā¦
2 Quits and now 9 hours ban, whatās wrong with you guys? These banning conditions in a social playlist are ridiculous. As I said before leave them on the competitive playlists only. You guys are taking away my right to play since I already payed for the game and the gamepass ultimate service.

2 quits on that day but several the day before, and even more the day before that, It doesnāt reset every day.
Hey, so look, I idle a lot and thatās a problem but Iām certainly not a chronic quitter. I wanted to reach sr 152 but this ban has obliterated that. I canāt play until mid June (still earlier than halo infinite news) and I just want to play arena. No more warzone to idle out of. Iām done with that. Can I please receive a lower punishment than 20 days? Iām scratching and sweating for some halo.
