Send me a PM with the links/info.

How do I know if someone is “deranking”? Are there certain aspects of their profile that could give them away for being a “deranker”? And let’s say I solo queue into a SWAT match (swat’s all caps right?) and a party of 3 on my team has a “deranker”. Will I be punished even though I had nothing to do with them?

Good morning everyone.

VIP Horizons GoingChimp34292 FutureDiablo -

I checked with Enforcement and chatted with them. They have sufficient evidence of you all manipulating the ranking system with a prolific deranker. In this instance, Enforcement opted for a ban due to the severity and frequency of the abusive use of smurfs to manipulate matchmaking.

Due to the extent and severity, the typical “rest of this season and all of next” ban was applied. They’ve also indicated the bans will not be reduced at this time.

Do let me know if there’s any other questions.

Snickerdoodle just explained this.

The frequency?, look at my history you can see 10 games played with the bronze/silver.

Optional judgement of the word frequent being ten games?

I can provide you with evidence that the ranking system wasn’t manipulated. For one, due to the updates to the ranking system, deranking no longer helps boost anyone up in rank. This is because it only takes one game for their MMR to be correctly updated. I corresponded with Josh Menke and he agreed with me on this. Secondly, the players I played against while in this fireteam were the same people I would have played against solo. In fact, our opponents’ CSR were rarely affected because the account had an MMR of a champ. I could link matches if you’d like further proof.

Usually someone with a very low CSR (Bronze/Silver, etc.) with a match history that starts with little to no kills in every match followed by a lot of kills after placement. Or just playing with stats that look like Diamond/Onyx despite being Bronze.

I believe Enforcement only looks at players who party up with them, since it’s not your choice to be matchmade with them.

Thanks for clarifying, appreciate the help!

10 games is still 10 games too many. That’s impacting/manipulating matchmaking for many other people.

I saw the conversation you had with Josh on twitter however that doesn’t change the findings from the Enforcement team. Their data is far more nuanced and looks at the whole picture, not your small slice of the pie.

Help! I’ve been banned for a hundred and something days for warzone. I’ve never played a single game of war zone in my life

That’s not entirely true (You have 2 games played 1 is a DNF another is a victory), I don’t think you can get a 100+ day ban from Warzone though I may be wrong. I’m sure someone will be able to help you.

I went down from Diamond 6 to Diamond 5 with in the ten games.
(FACTS ARE TRUE)
Lost 4 of 10 and lost CSR.

I left the fire team because it took me 10 games to notice something was off.

Why ban a diamond rank player? #LIFT ONLY MY BAN (for now)

Single me out from the other cases, they’re Champion ranked.

So what you’re telling me is that Mr. Menke is wrong about his own ranking system? Should I really be punished for this? It was my understanding (based on official statements from the person in charge of the ranking system) that the problem was resolved, so it would no longer be a bannable offense to play with derankers because it wouldn’t benefit me at all. I’m getting conflicting information here. If there’s an unresolved problem with the ranking system that was STATED BY THE MAN IN CHARGE OF IT to be resolved, why am I being held accountable for it?

Boosting bans are total game bans to prevent unwanted behavior from shifting from one playlist to another.

While the impact of a single deranker is negligible now, we never said it wasn’t still bannable. Enforcement never changed what can and can’t result in a ban, regardless of improvements to the tech.

Enforcement tends not not worry as much one-offs, but if they see an especially egregious case, they will still reserve the right to ban.

The findings from Enforcement do not contradict Josh at all. Enforcement team’s data is built off of Josh’s system and takes it all into account and the data is clear on their end.

Due to excessively egregious multiplayer manipulation, your account was suspended for the rest of this season and the next.

I’m curious about this data. All I see when I’m playing ranked with these smurfs is the same people I would normally play, and I go up even less for beating them, so I still don’t see the problem here.

Can someone please link the terms of service where it shows it boosting / smurfing is not allowed?

Also, wasn’t it stated that it is impossible to boost or Smurf now due to a recent hotfix? if that’s the case then it should be impossible for me to cheat right?
