No warnings, just banned when I get back home. I don’t understand. I have accidentally splattered people before, especially when they walk in front of me, yet I’m banned for idling. For 14 days no less… Over 14 years of play, now banned 14 days for something with no warning…

> > > > > If I had to guess, I would imagine it’s due to idling in firefight brings a way to potentially boost Spartan Rank to get to 152. That is, if that is in fact what the ban message said. Normally, 2 week bans are for matchmaking and rank manipulation

> > > > Well I have never manipulated my rank, and do not even know how to achieve such. As for boosting to get to 152, that is what I’m doing. I play the featured game types, and firefight everyday, grinding to 152. As for idling, I just don’t understand. I rarely stop moving, IIput on an XP boost everygamee, but don’t blow my req packs constantly in every game, I save them for Turbo. The only thing that I can conceive of being ‘idling’ is when I help my 4, and 7 year old kids play. If that’s the case, that is the worst code of ethics I have seen. When they get 7-8 kills a game, I’m extremely proud. I have never ditched Halo, unlike 95% of my friends did, it is all I ever play. Now, I am banned, awesome.

> > I don’t understand what I’m boosting, it’s unranked. I split my time up between matchmaking, and firefight, playing whatever is featured. It all gives the same points basically. At least now I know why I’m banned for “idling”. I get to 2 req points, as to get them a battle rifle, then let them have at it. I’m right there with them. It’s unranked, I don’t have a page of anything in ranked, or even social where I get a handful of kills. I let them play one thing, and that’s Firefight. Your suggestion is I get another Xbox Live Subscription, for a 4 year old, and 7 year old, that I’m learning how to play Halo? Though the 7 year old is more into Goat Simulator, still yet, that’s what I should do? I have a clear record all the way back to Halo 2, I know I never “idled” on any of those, because I didn’t have a kid I’m trying to get into Halo. Even as such, mine didn’t show an interest until 2 or so months ago, so I shouldn’t have any idling pages prior to that either. Now if I got them their own Account, why would they not get banned for 14 days out of the blue, just for playing? Thank you for responding.

> Well I will mention this as well in your service record I see a lot of losses in a row in mythic firefight so that is a hole in this story that “my kids are playing” after I get the BR. If they are playing they need an account or perhaps have them play heroic warzone firefight where they can have more success at the gam
Right, well now when I’m unbanned, if I ever play again, what is going to keep me from being banned again. I have to consistently place in the top, for fear of getting banned lol!? Same for matchmaking, whenever I consistently carry the team, if I have one bad game, I’m going to be banned again? If it’s a “pattern” thing, it seems to me that will be the case. Basically, if I absolutely was terrible at the game, it’d be fine right? If I only ever got a single kill, from the time I started playing Halo 5, it’d be okay, because it’d fit the pattern? Here’s the crazy part to me. I cannot believe after suffering the Halo 2 lobbies as a 14 year old, having heard things that would make the devil blush in every lobby, before everyone dropped mics altogether for fear of being banned for small things on a service they’ve paid for, for being griefed in 1000’s of different ways, on tens of 1000’s of hours of play, across 3 platforms, 6 games, all of which, but 1 went to midnight release in the cold (one of which I had gotten out of surgery the day before), suffered modders/ standbyers almost every other game in h2, had my eyes teabagged out of the back of my skull, hundreds of arguments to friends to not ditch Halo (of which I’m the only one who still plays), going to tournaments, setting up tournaments out of pocket, never being banned for anything, yet out of all the griefers, it blows my mind that 343i would be the ultimate grief inducer
… I seriously cannot fathom it. You can roll your eyes if you’d like, I know I’m but one lowly peon to a huge company, but that company, and it’s predecessor, I idolise as the peak creator of the greatest game of all time. What’s it even matter to slap me in the face .
