I rarely stop moving, IIput on an XP boost everygamee, but don’t blow my req packs constantly in every game, I save them for Turbo. The only thing that I can conceive of being ‘idling’ is when I help my 4, and 7 year old kids play. If that’s the case, that is the worst code of ethics I have seen. When they get 7-8 kills a game, I’m extremely proud. I have never ditched Halo, unlike 95% of my friends did, it is all I ever play. Now, I am banned, awesome.

Your suggestion is I get another Xbox Live Subscription, for a 4 year old, and 7 year old, that I’m learning how to play Halo? Though the 7 year old is more into Goat Simulator, still yet, that’s what I should do? I have a clear record all the way back to Halo 2, I know I never “idled” on any of those, because I didn’t have a kid I’m trying to get into Halo. Even as such, mine didn’t show an interest until 2 or so months ago, so I shouldn’t have any idling pages prior to that either. Now if I got them their own Account, why would they not get banned for 14 days out of the blue, just for playing? Thank you for responding.

Right, well now when I’m unbanned, if I ever play again, what is going to keep me from being banned again. I have to consistently place in the top, for fear of getting banned lol!? Same for matchmaking, whenever I consistently carry the team, if I have one bad game, I’m going to be banned again? If it’s a “pattern” thing, it seems to me that will be the case. Basically, if I absolutely was terrible at the game, it’d be fine right? If I only ever got a single kill, from the time I started playing Halo 5, it’d be okay, because it’d fit the pattern? Here’s the crazy part to me. I cannot believe after suffering the Halo 2 lobbies as a 14 year old, having heard things that would make the devil blush in every lobby, before everyone dropped mics altogether for fear of being banned for small things on a service they’ve paid for, for being griefed in 1000’s of different ways, on tens of 1000’s of hours of play, across 3 platforms, 6 games, all of which, but 1 went to midnight release in the cold (one of which I had gotten out of surgery the day before), suffered modders/ standbyers almost every other game in h2, had my eyes teabagged out of the back of my skull, hundreds of arguments to friends to not ditch Halo (of which I’m the only one who still plays), going to tournaments, setting up tournaments out of pocket, never being banned for anything, yet out of all the griefers, it blows my mind that 343i would be the ultimate grief inducer … I seriously cannot fathom it. You can roll your eyes if you’d like, I know I’m but one lowly peon to a huge company, but that company, and it’s predecessor, I idolise as the peak creator of the greatest game of all time. What’s it even matter to slap me in the face .

You are busted, you clearly are SR boosting to get to 152 there is even a witness. If you want to get to 152 you have to actually play the game.

Your more than welcome to send me a message, and you can face time with both of them, you could even watch the 4 year old I speak of, play in a custom game, I would let you facetime him the minute I get unbanned, and he can walk right to the req station, order whatever he wants, and use it as well. That though would be against the rules, and I swore to Datapack I would never again go afk in Firefight, any other ideas you can think of, I’m down. I’m so down with that my guy. Like I told Data though, I told Kyle he’s out of my life, and I’m thinking about putting the kids up for adoption.

Well sorry but the evidence supports you were SR boosting. Sorry the ban is 14 days but bans have to deter players from cheating/griefing/boosting.

I know this is really late. But there is a map on Husky Raid that allows you to jump over the parts of the map that is out of bounds to gain an advantage. I did this around 5btimes and died each time and was banned, I have no idea of how long I will be banned as the Halo 5 Guardians Ban screen gives no real time or date for me. Please help.

How long were you banned for as that will help give an idea?

I guess it’s my fault for quitting a few times, but getting banned from Arena because the ranked Slayer playlist kept giving me 2v2 games seems pretty unfair. If I wanted a 2v2 I would play doubles. 3v3 is somewhat acceptable because of the population I guess, but not 2v2.

So I log on to my account after a few days to see that I’ve been banned?
I never do anything like betray teammates or quit out of games…
help??

DaddyKT

I haven’t played halo 5 in a few days and log on to see I have been banned .
I’ve don’t betray my team mates or quit out of games ever. Why was I banned from all play lists for 11 days?

Looks like a ban processing pass picked you up for being in a party with a deranker. Starts with a 2-week ban, doubles if you do it again, keeps doubling after that.

Is that in relation to him playing with SmurfMeBaby3557?

Seen in this match: https://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/games/halo-5-guardians/xbox-one/mode/arena/matches/8f95fbc2-9654-4199-a3ad-b54bf9edb44b/players/daddykt?gameHistoryMatchIndex=17&gameHistoryGameModeFilter=Arena It doesn’t appear as if he was intentionally partied with him or if he was it was only for one match. Is being paired together for one match enough?

I went back through several pages of matches and this was the only instance I saw of playing with what appeared to be a deranker unless it was someone unranked, but even then it didn’t appear as if he had multiple matches in a row where he played with the same group of players thus indicating he was primarily solo queing.

I suppose I may not have gone far enough back to find the match events that actually triggered the ban.

It goes deeper than that, but we don’t go into details about other players unless they themselves ask.

I’m still trying to figure out just how good I ABSOLUTELY HAVE to play, in order to not get banned again. Everybody has bad matches, but since it’s a pattern thing. Say it’s firefight, what if I die alot, what if I get 30 kills, none of them a boss, I’m going to get banned again? Then on matchmaking, I don’t place in the top 50%, or good forbid, dead last, I’ll be banned? They’re obviously related, if I get banned from both, when I’ve done nothing that can be confused with rule breaking in matchmaking. Anyways, just wondering, thanks.

If you actually play, you won’t get banned. We aren’t giving out details on “make sure to do this at minimum if you are idling so you don’t get caught”

Right, that wasn’t what I was getting at, I understand the secretive bit, and I’m not trying to get further information from you on it with the following, just want to know what I’m doing is okay. What I’m looking for, is a guarantee that if I play a game I’ve put thousands of dollars into, I’m not going to get banned. That is to say, I play a game, get completely slaughtered, through no fault of my own, and get banned, then what? As previously stated, the timer gets doubled, AND it cannot be reversed. Also by going back, and reading, you can get banned for betraying people, whether meaning to, or not. Knowing that, I for one, am never getting in a vehicle again, which will drastically cut my kills down in Firefight, and my top killer is currently the ghost. It will keep me safe from that ban though. Then in matchmaking, I’m doubtful I’ll throw any grenades at all, if I see a teammate anywhere near that side of the map, because though I know I could kill an opposer, if some random person on the other side of the world decides to step on my grenade, and choose to die, then I’m liable. Same with power weapons. Now, by playing safely, and giving other teammates the upmost precaution, on what seems like I’m always having to carry the team, suddenly I don’t, is that going to get me banned? Does it fall into the “Playing” category, or does it then become I have changed the way I play, I no longer finish in “x” percent, so I get banned. It seems like a catch 22 to me. Especially if you have already been banned, probably flagged, everything you do will be on red alert, so I want to be extra certain that everything I do is compliant. Thanks for the reply.

Depending on the ban, the window in which it can get double can expire. So some behavior is forgotten after enough time, whereas other behaviors never expire.

Betrayals is one that has a window that ends. If you don’t betray long enough, it’s reset and stops doubling.

Deranking is one that does not expire.

Same with manipulation to get around the simpler idle detection. The real time idle detection is simpler than the offline one that catches other stuff. The real time stuff gets forgiven (occasionally going AFK because of whatever). The offline stuff doesn’t get forgiven and escalates since it’s obviously premeditated and purposeful. Especially when there are 1000+ games with the same behavior.

You were never banned for playing badly or getting killed alot, so that’s really a moot issue. What you were banned for was for idling through games. Stop doing that and you won’t have to worry about getting banned for it.

Right, I understand, well I’ll trust in the system, and hopefully not be flagged as a felon for life :expressionless:

Yeah, but other people have been banned for such, per issues said in previous pages. Since I have nothing better to do, I was reading past posts. Thus it makes one wonder “what if”, making one change a way they’ve played for almost 18 years. This whole event has me more paranoid than a grunt on easy mode, facing Chief with the scarab gun in his hand. I know you say it’s moot, but if I’m flagged, it would only make sense for it all to be connected. Putting me under a magnifying glass for everything done. If I lag out, accidentally kill someone, or even beat someone so bad they hop on here to tell on one for Tea Bagging. How can one not think about it, when you have 9 days to ponder such.
