Post in the thread you were linked to and you may get a response; based on what I’ve seen either you or someone in your party was attempting to manipulate matchmaking conditions, ranking, or something along those lines.

It was for partying with a deranking player who threw 10+ matches and went from Bronze to Onyx over the course of a few games.
Partying with derankers will get you the same ban they get. Partying with them again will get you the same escalating ban (double time) they get.

I think I was banned for inting the game a while ago. I was just wondering if I can get unbanned. I know what I did was wrong and I was just playing too much at the time and got into the moment. I will not be unsportsmanlike in the future or have any more misshaps in the future thank you.
Question: If I randomly join a lobby of players I never knew, and say one player had been deranking without me even knowing, and he gets banned, will I be banned for being unlucky and joining them without knowing they did such?
Edit: Basically, will I be banned if I join up with guys who have deranked even if I had no idea they did?

If you are randomly matched with a deranker and play one game with them, I don’t think that will trigger the system to think you are trying to benefit off of matchmaking manipulation. However, if you were to party up with them and become a fireteam, that’s a different story. My suggestion would be, if you enter a match and a player does uncharacteristically good for their rank, don’t join their party. Similarly, if you’re in a party with players and suddenly one of the players starts playing insanely well compared to how they were before, you should leave that party.

If you were banned for 169 days that means you were caught boosting again.

Bans are handled automatically and cannot be reversed I’m afraid. Best thing to do is try the maps out is custom games and get used to the layout
The only time it might of looked like I was boosting was when I was running with a friend in slayer who’s friends were plats

I double checked with enforcement. Your recent history shows you in a party with a player who threw all of their placement matches just after being unbanned. So you repeated the same exact offense that you were banned for shortly after being unbanned.
