can you Pont me in the direction of the instructions of how to post please

how can I respond if there is no edit button?

i paid money for those boost. I don’t understand why I can’t get them back. I don’t understand why I am being refused the opportunity to speak to someone who works for the company I pay/paid money too. I don’t understand why I am not allowed to lodge a complaint and have it investigated.
I have already had to reset my Xbox. I have paid money for a service, Xbox gold, a game pass and reqs, yet if there is a problem then no one from Microsoft or Microsoft studios or 343 will give me the opportunity to raise the issue with them. After coming out of a two year deep depression struggling to leave the house I was so excited to upgrade my 360 to the One, 3-4 weeks I have it. All excitement gone. Have tried playing a couple of games and just can’t get into. I don’t understand why I simply cannot get the boosts back I paid for and make a complaint about how complicated, frustrating this whole situation is. I don’t understand this companies complete lack of empathy. It may seem like a small thing to some people but unfortunately not for me. Everyday is a struggle but I will not back down until I speak to an official person who works for this company and listens to my complaint.
i am not interested in raising my rank on here. I don’t even want to post anything but this appears to be my only outlet.

so a week later, no repsonse. What a joke of a company obviously don’t care about the customers who give them money.

> But the connection issue wasn’t my fault, it took ages to sync my profile then booted my for a slow connection. All I want is my boosts back that were wasted when I was booted from 3 games I had just started, also I was booted for being inactive when I was running. That’s not my issue. The issue was the games severs. I don’t understand why I can’t make a complaint and get my boosts back. Why is something so simple so complicated to sort out.

A slow connection doesn’t necessarily mean speed, sometimes you can have so much packet loss or jitter that it will not communicate with the servers. From my time with H5, if you are booted by the servers or xbox live then it doesn’t show up as a dnf in your game history. The automated system that bans you cannot tell if you did it on purpose or not and I have never heard of boosts being returned. If you are running an ethernet connection to the xbox I would suggest doing a hard reset of your console and restarting your modem/router. What Hermit means is if you have the last post on the page, hit the edit button and add the needed info. Otherwise it looks like you are spamming posts to increase your forum rank.

My son got banned, now I can’t use my account. It doesn’t give me a time until the end of the ban. It only says I’m banned. Is this forever? How long does it last and how do I appeal it.

There should be a family account or log in that restricts what parts of the games the kids accounts can use so we can avoid issues for everyone. Also there should be an update emailing or texting us how many bad actions we or someone in our account commited, and warning us of the punishment for next offense. If I can see they are doing something wrong I can correct it. If they just arbitrarily ban me with no warning, I can’t prevent bad behavior, be it he accidentally signed in to my slayer which is too advanced for him, or anything else. Also family accounts in the same house should be able to share games. I have four kids, each one should have their own account and be able to share whatever I purchase. It’s stupid to stop everyone from playing because the dumb one made a mistake.

Unfortunately you only get the ban length on the initial ban message, but I fairly certain it isn’t forever. usually a few minutes to a few hours in extreme cases. Looking at the dnf’s in your game history it looks like someone was idling (Not playing) in the last few. As to family accounts, if they allowed that then a banned player could just simply get around a ban by logging in another account.

I was banned after killing myself 3 times. I had no teammates because it was a 1v4 in ranked slayer where I had only one teammate who quit in the first 2 minutes before I killed myself. When I tried to play another match it said I was banned for griefing teammates, which is not possible because I had none. I would like the mark removed from my record.

Fortunately the ban should be very short, unfortunately I have never heard of a mark being removed since it is an automated system. If you don’t make a habit of it then it won’t be a problem. Since it was a ranked match, after your team mates leave you can quit the game without it counting as a quit and wouldn’t go towards any ban.

> 343 your business ethics are horrendous. You enforce ban hammers with no appeal process. We pay big $ for this game. I pay monthly through game pass. I was unfairly banned, and not for a few minutes. Like over 24 hrs. Microsoft is listed under contact us. They have no power to reinstate gameplay. Your company has no customer facing reps. Very sneaky, and underhanded. No concern or consideration for you paying customers! :-1:t3::rage:

To get a 24 hour ban, you need to have been banned from the game multiple times prior to that to reach that kind of length. Just because you pay for something doesn’t meant you can be held to a set of rules for using it

Ive been waiting over a week for a reply to my complaint, but it looks to me like you cant actually make one just make a ‘comment’ on here for some from the ‘community’ to look and then maybe comment on

Xbox does allow family accounts. I have my account and both of children have accounts, with their own gametag. And they can play any game I have purchased on my account. I either have to be logged in or have that Xbox set as my home Xbox. I believe you need to set these accounts up on the Xbox website not on the actual Xbox.

ok, -Yoink- this game. i am officially over halo 5 . its been over 2 years since i played H5, and when i jump on to play finally, i still gotta wait 33 hours. wtf.

11 out of your last 50 matches are dnfs, judging by your other post I assume you were idle in some if not most of them. It isn’t the game’s fault that you refuse to comply with matchmaking rules.

My name is Joshua Tavenor. I just turned on my xboxonex to play halo 5 guardians and it says that I am banned. What do I do and why am I banned? Can you email me the specifics at redacted My profile is IronTAVenor

You have a few DNF’s on your service record. Quitting, suicides, griefing are the things that the system looks for then bans. When you get banned the system tells you for how long. If this is your first ban, then it should not be too long.

I would recommend that you edit your post and remove your personal e-mail.

I believe when HALO:INFINITE comes out or gets a banhammer beta, 343i requires to absolutely let the system function as HALO:REACH did. Get killed by a teammate too many times (Mainly 3 times), pop up the options. 1-Report, kick the player for betrayal & send it to the banhammer since he wont stop or 2-Forgive, it was an honest accident & you forgive them (Helps with grifball accidents since i got booted for that on halo5). Secondly, (this might go off topic.) Make requisitions earned like HALO:REACH, let requisitions purchase armor, skins, announcers, etc… Keep the req packs for warzone only.

You will have much better luck if you post this in the matchmaking feedback thread. This forum is for discussing bans.

So I haven’t really played any xbox live game since my college days with Halo 3 and have had some spare time recently b/c I broke my leg.

Anyway, long story short, I got a short ban and I’m trying to figure out why. I did quit a few games here and there, but usually when there was an 0 kill 14 death guy making the game not fun so I don’t really think I deserved a ban.

I got booted a few times for Grifball when I wasn’t really trying to, does that count for why I got a short ban?

This is pretty silly if so, because you can’t control not betraying people if you play Grifball.

Anyway, my question is, now that I’ve been given a short ban, am I going to get longer and longer bans if I continue playing Grifball? This seems crazy, I get the idea behind it, but it needs to be enforced better so you don’t ban people who aren’t necessarily negative to the game.

Just to add to this, I finally figured out how to check my game history and see a lot of ODDBALL DNF’s which I don’t understand? I think I got booted from an oddball game, but haven’t quit any, and the final score on the oddball game is like something crazy like 5-2 when it’s playing to 150… so it looks like those games just lost their servers?

Obviously I’m out of my league here. I miss Halo 3 lol.
