You have several DNFs in your last few games, that triggered your ban.
This is BS! I was just playing Super Fiesta on Chill out when a glitch started happening in the top teleport room with ramp. It caused anyone stepping in front of the teleport landing to die, myself included and say I killed them … so suicides and betrayals followed, kicking me from the game and BANNING ME for unnatural play!
I can’t save a copy of the match because it doesn’t show up in my feed, but this is total crap. You ban me for your BS glitch??!!
NHGaidin
Just got banned for 10 minutes after being kicked from a Super Fiesta match on Hang em High. Apparently there was an unpathable region right next to one of the towers in the corner of the map? Every time I walked near it I died instantly as a “suicide.” Twice I was spawned within a few steps of this apparently unpathable region. There was no fall, no grenade, nothing at all except walking across some sort of invisible line.
Very frustrating to be banned as a result of a glitch. Also very surprised that any glitch would result in an immediate suicide…
Took you all of 25 minutes to tell me I posted this in the wrong place … then I post it in the right place and you ignore it for 7 hours and counting. 5 is is how you treat your customers? Former customers perhaps?

The suicide detection system is automated,so it cant see if you suicided by purpose or by accident. The best thing you can do right know is to wait.

This thread is run by voluntary community members that are not supported or connected to 343 in any way.
So saying 343 has a bad customer service is wrong in this case.
No … setting up an auto-ban system and then not having a way to contact them directly is lack of customer service … which is bad customer service.
So banned for their error, no recourse, no apology, and trolled by a volunteer moderator.
Check please.

I know alot of games where you just recive a ban message and then you have neither an explanation why you where banned nor you have an possibilty to talk about it in a forum. Not having a possibility to contact a company about ban related issues is not uncommon today.
Listen, complaining about your ban is pointless,as its most likely already over by the time you see my message. If you really think theres an problem with the map Chillout, theres an map feedback thread and if you post the problem there, someone will look into it.
Also Im not an moderator,Im just an normal waypoint user, just like you,the moderators have red titles instead of black ones.

The BAN HAMMER is on a delay. When the BH comes down it’s for some infraction that you committed in your previous games. It may. take a day or so to catch up to you. Sorry

So what you’re saying is that 343 doesn’t care about listening to it’s customers and that posting here is pointless ?
> 2535406610752091;4920:
> Is anyone listening/reading this? or is it just for gamers to post about and be forgotten?
It takes a number of quits or a number of times idling and being booted for a ban to actually be placed. Having the odd time where you need to leave your controller during a match isn’t going to get you banned, it’s doing it consistently enough that tiggers bans. If you’re reaching this point it’s not becuase you’re doing it once every so often, it’s because you’re doing it a lot.
> 2535406610752091;4920:
> God forbid that you
> Might have to go the restroom and sit idle : You’ll get banned
For some people if they need to go, they need to go. Going in between games, backing out of the lobby first, would seem to make more sense though. Unless you need to go to the restroom in the middle of every game, you’re not going to get banned for that.
> 2535406610752091;4920:
> Batteries died had to look for some sat idle : Got banned
The Xbox OS usually gives you a decent enough warning before your controller shuts off completely. Generally should hold out to the end of a match and you can swap out after, or leave some recharables next to your box just in case. Again though, batteries generally last and this isn’t something that should be happening a lot.
> 2535406610752091;4920:
> Took a phone call for a couple of minutes :Got banned
Same as above - unless you’re taking phone calls all the time and getting kicked out, you won’t get banned. Why not hit speaker and talk to them, tell them you’re in a game and you can call back in 5 mins?
> 2535406610752091;4920:
> Had to take care of the baby because he was reaching for something: Got banned
For this one I’m going to say you should really be paying more attention to your child than the video game you’re playing. Wait until they’re asleep or there’s someone else that can keep watch.
> 2535406610752091;4920:
> You can’t sit idle and you can’t quit either way because : You’ll get banned
You’ll only get banned if you do this consistently. If what you’re doing is more important than finishing the game and helping your team mates, you should probably back out to the lobby and finish what you’re doing and then jump back into your game.
> 2535406610752091;4920:
> Is anyone listening/reading this?or is it just for gamers to post about and be forgotten? God forbid that you
I’m reading it. I have trouble listening to previously typed text.
> Might have to go the restroom and sit idle : You’ll get banned
If you back out of matchmaking between matches you have plenty of time for that.
> Batteries died had to look for some sat idle : Got banned
The controller will shut off a couple times before the batteries are completely dead. That should give you enough warning to finish the match back out of matchmaking and then replace them.
> Took a phone call for a couple of minutes :Got banned
I can manage to make/receive phone calls and still play.
> Had to take care of the baby because he was reaching for something: Got banned
That phrasing is a bit odd, but honestly if you’re worried about getting banned or even consider it when it comes to taking care of your child then your priorities are a bit off. Children should come first. Quit the match. Take care of the problem and then play later when you’re able. If you don’t have excessive DNFs you aren’t going to be banned for a single quit.
> You can’t sit idle and you can’t quit either way because : You’ll get banned
> THE WHOLE SYSTEM IS RIDICULOUS you shouldn’t get banned at all if you idle you can be exited out of the game but we as gamers
> the consumer the customers should not have to deal with this at least have a better system
The other players on your team shouldn’t have to suffer because one person decided idling through matches was the best way to make it to 152. They shouldn’t have to be at a disadvantage because one player didn’t bother to consider anyone but themselves and idled or quit.
> You paid for the game you pay for Xbox gold membership yet here we are unable to play
There are consequence for your actions. You paid for a licence to play the game. When you fail to abide by the rules of matchmaking that licence is revoked (usually temporarily.)
Also Please don’t mulipost. You can edit your posts to add information and respond to multiple people in a single post.
And here is video of you idling;

This is to Comedic Hermit
1)It was the first game of the day and while looking for batteries idk a total of 120 seconds I got banned and no I don’t do it consistently
2)Batteries will die and in no other game I can think of do you get penalized for not having them ready in your pocket ready to go
3)When people have to go they have to go matches can last a while. Different time different occasion got banned for this as well
4)About phone calls people get phone calls (Important phone calls for job interviews etc) the volume is loud you’re trying to be there for the team
This doesn’t happen all the time but it happens
5)You obviously don’t have small children or don’t know how they work children need to be free and play wether in the living room or whatever
but perhaps they’re reaching for a sharp picture frame or pushing the screen door or pusing the buttons on the fan etc
AND they need their diaper changed do not talk to me about priorities…
6)No I don’t have excessive DNFs perhaps you are missing the point about customer service and keeping the customer happy
7) I only agree with you on this your team doesn’t have to suffer on a game BUT this is not a life or death situation nor is it a championship…
And when a player goes idle fine they can be booted and another come in (which happens) why are we getting penalized?
8) I’m not a 16 year old kid that you feel that you can talk down to so don’t
9) This website seems just like a hub for gamers to let out steam but nothing ever does anything about it. If you read my previous post
This is comes down to customer service does 343 see this or do they just not care about their customers the least bit?
10)I don’t know how to multi post I thought I was replying to another person in the last thread
11) You can show me a video of me idling but that was never a dispute I know I idled I explained this already
In Conclusion: gamers/players should and can be voted out by other players if they sit idle (simple) OR if they sit idle booted out
but why the penalty? Why is that necessary? Another player comes in to the game we don’t need to be penalized.
Also am i wasting my time or my grievances actually be responded to in a customer service manner.

You could easily have tagged me or quoted me.
> 1)It was the first game of the day and while looking for batteries idk a total of 120 seconds I got banned and no I don’t do it consistently
If you don’t have excessive DNFs the occasional DNF will not get you banned. Idling will.
> 2)Batteries will die and in no other game I can think of do you get penalized for not having them ready in your pocket ready to go
You didn’t read what I wrote did you?
> 3)When people have to go they have to go matches can last a while. Different time different occasion got banned for this as well
And yet the vast majority of players have never been banned.
> 4)About phone calls people get phone calls (Important phone calls for job interviews etc) the volume is loud you’re trying to be there for the team
> This doesn’t happen all the time but it happens
Why would you be playing video games online when you were expecting an interview related or otherwise important call? There are several other activities you can use your time on that don’t require you to leave your team in a lurch when you do something you planned on doing. You can also mute the television or monitor and you microphone. Even if that were the case (which even the most basic forethought would have prevented) than again if you do not have excessive DNFs than you can quit with no penalty.
> 5)You obviously don’t have small children or don’t know how they work children need to be free and play wether in the living room or whatever
> but perhaps they’re reaching for a sharp picture frame or pushing the screen door or pusing the buttons on the fan etc

And if you care about the fact that you might get banned to take care of your child your priorities are horribly wrong. I kind of hope you don’t have children since you don’t seem to understand that.
> 6)No I don’t have excessive DNFs perhaps you are missing the point about customer service and keeping the customer happy
I would prefer to keep the majority of the players happy. The majority of players who don’t quit regularly, don’t idle, don’t grief and are then thrown into matches with people who do. Those people who asked for there to be rules in matchmaking and for there to be consequences for violating them. I’d prefer to deal with the people incapable or otherwise unwilling to follow those rules as opposed to letting the team mates suffer.
> 7) I only agree with you on this your team doesn’t have to suffer on a game BUT this is not a life or death situation nor is it a championship…
Does it has to be a life or death situation or a championship for you to show consideration for other people? It really shouldn’t.
> And when a player goes idle fine they can be booted and another come in (which happens) why are we getting penalized?
Because you violated the rules. Rules that were announced prior to the release of the game and are necessary for you to abide by in order to maintain your license to play the game online.
> 8) I’m not a 16 year old kid that you feel that you can talk down to so don’t’
Your arguments are not convincing. I’m not talking down to you. I pointing out the areas are you are wrong. That is a public service.
> 9) This website seems just like a hub for gamers to let out steam but nothing ever does anything about it. If you read my previous post
Actually this website is a community where people get together to have constructive dialogues about a game series.
> This is comes down to customer service does 343 see this or do they just not care about their customers the least bit?
They do. That’s the reason those rules and penalties are in place in the first place.
> 10)I don’t know how to multi post I thought I was replying to another person in the last thread
You did multipost. I told you not to do it again. You shouldn’t be posting multiple times in a row. That isn’t necessary and falls under the definition of spam.
> 11) You can show me a video of me idling but that was never a dispute I know I idled I explained this already
Three minutes of staring at a wall, getting killed, and then staring into space till you got booted from the very start of the match. You chose to idle through a match rather than back out during the intermission.
> In Conclusion: gamers/players should and can be voted out by other players
No they can’t. The games that have used that set up or something similar (L4D, Sea of Thieves Brig) player base use that as a method of griefing.
> if they sit idle (simple) OR if they sit idle booted out
> but why the penalty? Why is that necessary?
Because the actions are harmful to the other players in the match and violate the rules of matchmaking and the behavior should be discouraged.
> Another player comes in to the game we don’t need to be penalized.
A: A lot of the modes don’t have JIP.
B: JIP isn’t a fix all that alleviates you of your responsibilities. There is no guarantee that you will be replaced, much less replaced in a timely manner by someone of similar skill.
C: Putting a team a member down for a minute (if not much longer) can easily sway the way a match is going which is unfair to everyone involved.
D: JIP is a hastily applied bandage. It’s meant to lessen the damage done to a match by someone leaving, it isn’t meant to to cure it.
E: JIP can’t even come into play for the three minutes you spent idling.
> Also am i wasting my time or my grievances actually be responded to in a customer service manner.
This isn’t a customer service issue. This is a case where you don’t want to face the consequences of your actions.
Listen here Comedic Hermit Do Not talk to me in a condencending manner
You have not been helpful whatsoever NOT one bit
Whatever grievance I have no matter what it is you have NOT addressed ANY of my issues
You just keep bringing up excuse after excuse after excuse
You have not given me any answers just a lot of fluff service
What are you really? Damage control for 343? You are NOT a gamer
You are useless as a monitor as a moderator as a spokesperson and as a person. No Matter what I say you act as to why banning gamers is ok ?
I have been playing Halo since the first edition let me ask you what are you really?
Listen phone calls can come in any hour any minute are you mental? There is no time frame
How many hours are in a day? Again stop with the excuses
Do NOT talk to me about responsibilities you do NOT have children do you?
If you are NOT 343 customer service do NOT keep wasting my time any further
Because you are Useless…

> Listen here Comedic Hermit Do Not talk to me in a condencending manner
I haven’t yet. I can start if you’d like.
> You have not been helpful whatsoever NOT one bit
I’ve pointed out the errors in your thinking. One would assume you would be thankful for that. I personally want my thought and beliefs to comport with reality as much as possible.
> Whatever grievance I have no matter what it is you have NOT addressed ANY of my issues
You were rightfully banned and are upset about it. That isn’t a grievance.
> You just keep bringing up excuse after excuse after excuse
No, I’ve repeatedly pointed out the points where you were wrong and the reasons that there are bans in place.
> You have not given me any answers just a lot of fluff service
The answer is, “you violated the rules. You were banned. You need to deal with the consequences of your actions.”
> What are you really? Damage control for 343?
I’m a member of the community who takes time out of his day to among other things explain the ban system to people who either don’t understand it or refuse to admit responsibility for their actions.
> You are NOT a gamer
So the decades I’ve been playing video games don’t make me a ‘gamer.’ Good to know.
> You are useless as a monitor as a moderator
I think I do a decent job as a monitor/mod on this site, other people may disagree, but to each their own. I could also point out that I could’ve dealt with your last post officially, I chose not to.
> as a spokesperson
I wasn’t aware I was a spokesman? What am I spokesman for? Can it be Dr. Pepper? I like Dr. Pepper.
> and as a person.
That’s okay, I still love you.
> No Matter what I say you act as to why banning gamers is ok ?
Yeah, kind of is. Actions have consequences.
> I have been playing Halo since the first edition let me ask you
I’ve been playing Halo since CE. My dorm mate Jeremy brought an xbox and a copy of CE back to the dorms after a weekend at home. Been a fan of the series ever since.
> what are you really?

> Listen phone calls can come in any hour any minute are you mental? There is no time frame
Yeah, I’ve done telephone interviews before. You tend to have a timeframe for them to call during.
> How many hours are in a day?
36? Wait are you on earth? 24 then. Not seeing the relevance
> Again stop with the excuses
I haven’t needed one yet.
> Do NOT talk to me about responsibilities you do NOT have children do you?
If someone in my care (or really anyone) needed my help and I had to quit a match to deal with the situation and I got banned. I wouldn’t care about the fact that I was banned. A temporary inconvenience in exchange for doing the right thing isn’t worth considering.
> If you are NOT 343 customer service do NOT keep wasting my time any further
I’m what you’re going to get posting in the ban thread. This again isn’t a customer service issue. The ban system is automated and I’ve yet to here of a ban being repealed, particularly since you admit you performed the action you were banned for.
> Because you are Useless…
