I found 4 DNFs in your last twenty games.
What is commonly enough to trigger a ban.

I checked your last three DNF matches and you were idle in all three. I didn’t bother with the ones before that. I’m not sure why people continue to be dishonest about this. I can check and will show the reality of the situation.

> Perhaps comedyshermit or someone else would be able to review the game footage of the following games to see if there was any idling that occurred. I would myself but Halo 5 is not on my console’s harddrive.
I only bothered with the most recent three, I keep most of my games on an external terabyte drive. That prevents me from having to choose as often.

To start, what is the gamertag that your grandson uses?
As for bans, when a player gets a temporary ban in Halo 5, a message pops up when the ban is first applied that states the reason for the ban and the duration of the ban. If you miss that initial pop up window or forget what it said, then there is no way to check on your ban again.
I accidentally fell of the map 3 time the first I was running away from enimies and the senxond and third times I was trying to get active cameo and I go kicked from the game and suspended from comp I didn’t do anything wrong so why was I banned

Multiple suicides are used as a form of griefing. That is why you were banned.

Ok so if i accidentally fall of the map a few times and get a ban for one hour plus would I be able to have it removed or will it be to hard to prove accidentle and I am guessing I got a lose which is permanent

The ban system is automated. If your ban was for an hour it isn’t your first offense. I’ve yet to see a ban overturned.
I got the most frustrating boot from a Warzone game last night. I was putting in a great effort and my stupid bladder decided that it couldn’t wait just five more minutes for the game to end. I was holding it so bad that I couldn’t shoot straight at all !! I dove my Spartan quickly into a corner where I knew I’d be safe for a moment and then RAN to the bathroom so I could have a quick relief. I was quick, but when I came back I got the “Wake up John!” … WAKE UP !! I wasn’t even gone that long, but here I find myself back in the lobby instead of helping finish the fight ! I was so bummed out that I turned my Xbox off after that, I just felt so betrayed by 343.

It’s been shown through video evidence that it takes ~3 minutes in order for the game to kick you for being idle. Now, I can understand that it takes people different amounts of time to tinkle, depending on distance to the toilet from the couch and how much you go, but I think 3 min of inactivity is entirely fine for booting. And yes, sometimes you have an emergency and you need to be inactive for a bit. But it’s better that the system catch all people who are inactive for 3 min and boot them, because chances are most of them aren’t having a legitimate emergency preventing them from playing. Perhaps comedyshermit can take a look at the DNF games (1 and 2) to see how long you were gone for that the game kicked you.

Looks like he/she either quit or was booted after two minutes rather than three. Not sure if he quit/if there was a glitch in the system or if there is another factor I’m unaware of. https://youtu.be/0x79PQOLzzY

Yeah, I see. I checked the other video clips of idlers you created and noticed that for two users, they were booted after ~2 min, but another user was booted after ~3. So there does seem to be a bit of inconsistency.
Regardless, I can see why the game is sensitive in idling detection. Better to cast a wide net than to shallow a one.

I will fast forward as the clip is recording if I’m not doing something else, so the length of the video doesn’t always represent the idle time. I have noticed some longer times in a round based games like infection as well. I wouldn’t mind word from above to clarify.

> Hi, can you please tell me why I’ve been banned? There doesn’t seem to be a ban hammer or count down?
The only time you can see what your ban is for and how long it lasts is when the ban first activates. A message will come up. If you close out of that initial ban message, then there is currently no way to see it again.
Looking at your game history, I don’t see a particularly egregious amount of unfinished games. What makes you think you are banned? If you didn’t see a ban timer, what happens when you try to enter matchmaking? What sort of messages are you seeing?
