Just finished a game and got banned. Can anybody tell me why?

Generally, the banhammer runs one game behind. So if you quit or otherwise do not finish a game, and that DNF triggers a ban, the ban usually doesnât get applied until after you complete your next activity. This can seem confusing because it may look like you got banned for nothing, but this is not the case; the banhammer is just running late.
Unless you can contact 343 about a ban directly. Then they shouldnât exist.
Iâve been getting dropped into Warzone games that are already in progress where the players on my team have mostly quit or the other team already has 2 or more bases captured with huge point lead and are well on their way to an easy victory. My defense. a req 1 battle rifle and pistol against 12 players with req 7 or above.
Iâd quit too, but I just used a XP/RP boost card and I donât want to get banned because of a poor game match by 343.
Totally unjust. Able to contact 343 about Halo 5 issues including bans. Or get rid of them.

No,the direct support system would be abused pretty fast,as people have the tendency to write not so friendly messages when they get pissed,even if they know that they are wrong.
So keeping the community version is better as its much rarer that you see an hatemessage.
And everyone gets dropped into an loopsided match from time to time,but thatsno reason that you can quite without an punishment.
Software changes I would love to see happen.
I was just banned for 30-plus minutes for going after the guy who had shotgun to me in the back killing me 3 times before I realized it was my own teammate doing it. I realized that hunting him wasnât really solving the problem but it did seem fair is fair. How it is that I got booted from the game and he didnât makes no sense to me. The same thing happens constantly on reach multiplayer. Every day that I played multiplayer on Halo reach on Hemorrhage somebody killed me from my team to take the sniper rifle. The second or third time they did that I would start shooting at them to get even. Some how often they would get to boot me from a game this makes no sense at all.
With all the amazing software that you folks have written I would think you would write a piece of software that would track peopleâs behavior in the game. As soon as more than two rounds from a team mates weapon hit a player the software could start tracking that personâs behavior, maybe even saving a clip! Give the person who was originally being assaulted the option of booting. At the very least give the person whoâs originally being assaulted the right to boot someone after the second time theyâve been killed by them.
I get that by shotgunning my teammate I was breaking the code of conduct by making it difficult for him to enjoy playing the game⌠Iâm sure he was having a lot of fun shooting me in the back because I was about to pick up the grenade he wanted so⌠yeah that seems fair.
In reading the code of conduct thereâs something about ruining the fun for your fellow players. Iâm down with that in fact I donât see anything unreasonable and your code of conduct.
In keeping with the theme of fun for everyone Iâd like to suggest a change to the matchmaking software.
Perhaps itâs just me but it seems a lot less fun when the matchmaking software puts together a team of randoms and pits them against a team that completely dominates them and gives them barely a chance to spawn before getting shot again.
Would it be possible to have your matchmaking software match individuals and teams based on their K/Ds from their most recent 3 games?
It would be a lot more fun to be on teams fighting against teams that were of a very similar skill level to mine.

Bad behavior still has a negative effect on your teammates in social. You donât get a license to break the rules just because itâs a social game type. JIP isnât a âfixâ for quitters, itâs a hastily applied bandage. There is no guarantee people will be replaced at all, much less replaced quickly and with someone of equal skill.
I recently received a ban the other day for a short time after my controller began to become unresponsive despitw being fully powered and turned on. When the controller begins having issues I am unable to make hit any button that will work which causes me to be booted after a certain time of no movement. I would continue to try and repair my controller and sometimes it would begin working for a short time and then it goes back to becoming unresponsive. Due to this happening over last few days Iâm now banned for 4 hours. I recently purchased new controller and was hoping to have the ban removed now that I will no longer be having this issue. Given that its only been an issue the last 48 hours I think my record will show this was a temporary problem I had and should be able to resume playing in arena matches. Is it possible to have my ban lifted now?

Itâs an automated system, Iâm unaware of any ban being lifted.

Unfortunatly yes.
The system cant check if someone had an controller issue or if he unplugged/deacitivated the controller by himself.

This is a thread where people can ask questions about the Halo 5 ban system. Clan/Company drama should be handled on an interpersonal level. You might consider sending one of the LTâs or the Leader of your former company a PM in order to ask what was going on.

I could not agree with you more ChapelMars. I know it is a big task for the programmers but matchmakings should be done from KDA not whatever algorithm they are using now. 343 this is a serious problem and you should take note of it and correct the matchmaking problem. Iâm starting to find myself looking at my HALO 5 icon on my home page and skipping over it to do something else because the matchmaking is so terrible. You dominate one game and get slaughtered the next game.Back and forth, over and over again. No wonder folks are quitting all the time. This is supposed to be fun not aggravating. We didât spend our money to get more aggravation in our lives. Video games should be a venue where we are alowed to escape the aggravations of life. Halo was my favorite game, now itâs like 5th because of the poor matchmaking. I know Iâm not the only one experiencing this. I hear folks in practically every game bitcâg about it. Just this AM I played 3 games of turbo and got recked every game. No wonder folks are quitting so much. 343 you blame us for quitting and threaten us with your banhammer but listen, karma has a way of coming around and you are not immune to it either. Just ask Eastern Airlines or Lehmann Bros. they all thought they were too big to fail also. Fix it and quit using your banhammer to intimidate us. Thatâs just a tool you use instead of working to fix the the problem. But not to worry every time you ban us it gives us an opportunity to go to other games and eventually get away from Halo all together. No at this point Iâm not banned from any game play but I probably will be be for asserting my 1st Amendment Rights. And Iâm not a fan of typing all this stuff but for almost two years now this is still a problem. 343 quit blaming us for your lack of reinvesting in your business. If I ran my business like this I would lose all of my customers and without any improvement it could happen to you also. Just a concerned customer.

Mr. monitor maybe you didnât understand my question. My question was what did NETWORK COLLABORATION mean as pertaining to Halo. And i wrote that I couldnât find the company. Or leader by proxy. So i canât very well ask a question to someone that I canât find. The issue is not with being removed, they were not that good anyway. What I wanted to know was the answer to my question so if it was something I did or didnât do I would know not to do it again. And by the way I was linked to this page by one of your Mods. Monitors do not have access to other usersâ private messages. That would defeat the purpose of them being private, after all.

I got banned for quitting an arena match after another teammate already quit. Why would I waste my time knowing we were gonna lose at that point? Please change the system so quitting after someone already did gives you a ban. It is ridiculous!!!

You have quit 4 games today, 3 of them back to back. That is why you received a ban.

You have 4 DNFs today, 5 DNFs yesterday, and 2 DNFs the day before that. Thatâs 11 DNFs in 3 days.
More importantly, 6 of those DNFs, you were the only person in the game that quit. You also went negative most times, giving me the assumption that itâs not other people quitting, youâre just rage quitting.
So something doesnât add up here.
