It doesnāt. It seems to be based in part on percentages so long periods of good behavior with a lot of matches played should make it less likely to trigger for the occasional misconduct.

Can 343 industries tell me why I got banned because of a glitch with the spartan laser? Both times I fired the weapon it killed me causing a suicide which kicked me out of the game and banned me from playing. I went back and watched the video from that match and there was nobody in front of me and no reason at all why those laser shots would have killed me other than a glitch. Iāve spent good money on this game and enjoy playing but this type of treatment is unacceptable and I want some answers!

And again, the rating doesnāt handle multiplayer interaction. It being rated T means nothing here. It never really did.

Misconduct takes a toll on all players, regardless of age or motivation. The system benefits everyone. Some people will act badly and then try to blame the system for their behavior as an excuse, but they donāt have much of a leg to stand on. Now, letās stick to questions about the ban system please.

If youād like to link the game I can review it and confirm you didnāt hit any map geometry; multiple suicides are a form of griefing. It takes three I believe for a boot.

Bungie used the same system on it was less sophisticated. Updated tooling will allow modern systems to catch offenders that the old system was unable to.

Four out of your last ten matches were DNFs, Iād say that was the reason. The ban system runs on a short delay so you may get banned a match or two after the misconduct.

Ok so everyone on my team left but me and so I put the controller on its side so I wouldnāt get banned for inactivity but I still got banned. This is stupid. You had to perform some kind of misconduct in order to be banned. In your case you idled for three minutes in this match here. Idling will net you a ban.

The ban system is in place in part to to deal with those who Idle, quit, team kill, etc. There is a progressive discipline system in place to deal with misconduct.

The ban system benefits real players. The post you say isnāt āappropriateā answered a question and attempted to assist the other player. So it was appropriate.
