Actually 343’s servers appear to be doing a fine job, I have no problems and I only have a 6 down 1 up connection. I make sure my NAT is open and my ports are forwarded and I have no issues. I also looked at a few of your DnF games and you were the only one that didn’t finish, which points to a connection issue on your end.

One of my friends got “spam”-banned from the forums for a full month. It seems like Monitor snickerdoodle has it out for him. His gamertag is AssumedSpartan.
The reason I put spam in quotes is because almost everything he had posted in the day or so leading up to the ban got spam-flagged, including stuff that was most obviously not spam.
What’s the record for max time getting banned? At this point, with the idiocy that is Breakout now (and my attempts to work on my Immortal commendation), I might hit it. Longest one for me now is 9 hours.

I personally haven’t seen anyone claim to have been banned for more than three days. That doesn’t mean that there is a limit or that anyone has actually been banned for that long, but that is the longest I’ve seen someone claim to have been banned for.
People should not be getting banned for social playlist. It makes no sense really. I’m getting banned for betraying (Most of time my team triple crosses me first) I know i suck at the game but when I start to get payback on the people betraying me in “Social” i get banned and falling of the map i got banned for 24 hours seriously??? I have never played a game that penalizes you in (Social) and the question is why is there friendly fire in social? FRIENDLY FIRE OFF= 98% no bans. its a simple solution but its as if 343 wants to penalize newcomers to the game who don’t know the maps( Which i was falling off on) and the Unique Halo community(If a teammate sucks so bad like me because I just bought the game last month, my team starts betraying because I suck and I admit that), Change the ban rules for social, Remove friendly fire, and leaving match penalties also have to be eliminated ( For god sake its social no one takes it seriously anyhow) If you want to play seriously and competitively then play ranked playlist and keep the bans and penalties on there*** I have no problem with halo bans with ranked*** But social yes it should be not applied to social at all. ** Gears of war 4 lets windows 10 and xbox one players meet in the social playlists now. you can leave matches no bans what so ever , however core and competitive playlist their are bans now which makes sense if you want to play for reals then there is a separate playlist for that and rules.

Its belongs in ranked playlist( So the competitive freaks can have their realism) - I never bought a game that penalizes you for bad laggy connections at time outs, falling of the maps (When you don’t know the maps like me, Just bought the game last month), Betrayals ( When you team turns against you for being to garbage because they probably bought the game when it came out unlike me) - The Bans are ridiculously long. 30 mins( not long its ok), then 2 hours, then, 5 hours, then 24 hours? Gosh so betraying at least 6 people( in a Social Match) is worth 24 hours of a ban? are you seriously robbing me of my time 343? Coming from a Gears of War community (Myself) , look i’m sorry but if a teammate throws the first punch at me for not playing well then I’ll throw a punch back that’s the bottom line. The real funny thing is if there is no friendly fire in the first place I would never get banned besides from falling off the map. - I believe we all need to see some changes regarding social playlist bans. You can’t banned in gears in a social playlist , In halo you can? really? That is just funny! So penalizes people for a playlist that no one takes seriously and most people play to socialize and have fun. If you want competition , I’m sorry your playing the wrong damn playlist go play “Ranked” playlist. or 343 can provide a ranked playlist that doesn’t put you with a smurfed, afk, or tanking player repeatedly. they could also base ranking up on personal achievement so at least this was less a factor. otherwise, in addition to smurfs representing as lower ranked you’ll get guys like me at silver that play on fireteams regularly with plats and diamonds. to a bronze or silver that just isn’t fair or enjoyable…for either of us. the superior attitude given by monitors and 343i emps when justifying bans is garbage until they do something about these issues that doesn’t make me want to quit a game i love playing.
maps: great. weapons and game modes: great. req system: no problems here. matchmaking: big-time bed wetter. sitting down to play ranked is like getting ready to eat a hot exquisite meal after a long day. ur salivating, you can taste it already…and then the chef comes in and rips the loudest wettest nastiest fart you’ve heard in your life. it made the table top vibrate and your nose is burning and you’re in tears. the meal? appetite 86’d. desire 86’d. lol…#noreally
they are going to ban you if you don’t play the game they give you the way they provide it. does a banhammer discourage me from quitting after i just can’t f’in take that anymore but absolutely love to play halo…good halo, team f’in halo where ppl actually want to win? nope… but it’s the only protest that can be heard.
however, it is worth mentioning the maybe not so obvious… that matchmaking is almost always going to be better when you have a fireteam. 2 is good, 3 is better. find people to play with and the games won’t be as insufferable and will likely be really good for long stretches.
again, the problem i have is after the opposite; long runs of games with uneven skills (one guy on a team going 25-3 with the highest kill from the other 7 being maybe 11 or 12), or worse: afk’s, tankers, betrayers, etc. i’m absolutely going to quit the latter set of games and so are countless others (i encourage it, actually). i’m going to assault the punk that left or is being a turd with messages and may get a communication ban for it (so what) i’m going to be halo banhammered for it. i’m going to gripe here about it. no other way it improves.
i’m one player and i don’t like being fed shyte. you do what you feel.

i believe i saw “Jimbo” get a 6-7 day ban after he posted his “bronze to champion” youtube series. the series showed him (a longtime popular champion level player) tanking his account to bronze and absolutely destroying games. vids are still up. he made it to silver before someone reported it and one of the last posts is him sort of being bewildered by the 6-7 day ban. i was like really, Jimbo??? you took a public dump on those players and…bewildered? The ban screenshot is shown in the vid.
Best part: 343 knows this account is a sham. They banned it. They didn’t kill it. lol… hm… So, he got to wreck his way to Champion after all but just had to wait a week?

If you contribute to the ban thread,remebering that people should follow the rules is also one of the tasks you sometimes need to do and then its unavoidable to be offtopic.

In your recent games you have 3 DNF’s. That’s more than likely the reason why. Also if you have an 18 hour ban it’s not the first ban you’ve ever received.

Okay fair enough except I was banned for 14 hrs … the next day I sign in, and I’m immediately banned again for 18hrs… so how did that happen?

In most cases the ban doesn’t come in affect straight way. You may have been banned for your 2nd DNF for 14 hours. The 3rd DNF might have triggered a ban while you were already serving your 14 hr ban.
