I have restarted my router and performed a speed test here are the results, Ping 21, download speed 27.37 Mbps, upload speed 5.46 Mbps (using speedtest.net, and pinging the closest server to my current location).
If this problem persists/comes up at a later date should I restart my router? If this does happen again should I be worried about being banned/the length of the ban increasing. If the game disconnects me and I do not get banned should I wait for a few hours to a day to play again?
Honestly I find the banning for quitting kind of ridiculous. Are we expected to finish games (especially team games) where there are 1 or 2 players on the same team vs 4 on the other? Its demoralizing and can make an already frustrated player far more angry for having to stay in and get destroyed.
Did the arena quit ban just got stricter after the Hammer Storm update? Now when I quit a match and I complete the next one, I usually get banned after I completed the match.

While this is correct, about half of the games I have left were due to other members of the team leaving/lagging out or because of a laggy connection. The fact also remains that the other half of my games were me leaving custom matches, as seen with me being yellow team in Griffball, fiesta slayer ect. I don’t see why there is a ban penalty for leaving an unbalanced game. Also some of my games that I left were a 3v4 off the start. Me getting penalized for the matchmaking system not working is not ok. Previous bans have been given yes, which was after I had left an unbalanced match. This is why I am not sure why I am banned. I just recently got banned. I truly believe that it was because of all of the disconnects that have been happening JUST as the warzone game is ending, and one game that i was idle for. This is infuriating. In the OP it said that “in extreme cases, custom games will not be available”, and i cannot access custom games, forge, or coop campaign. That seriously takes the piss, don’t you think?
The non-matchmaking modes i just can’t understand even in “extreme cases”. You’re quitting or being a Dink on matchmaking? Here’s another thing we’ll ban you from so that you can learn your lesson. NO.
Custom games, forge, and coop campaign are all modes that you need to play with your friends. People that you invite and will understand if you have to quit, idle, or have a terrible connection. There is no reason why one of these should be taken away, much less ALL THREE because you disconnect excessively (i use that word lightly because it was probably only 5 times over the course of a week)

i just got banned for 4:23 just for wining a match, i think i quit the last arena match game just because theres one AFK player and were losing.
Honestly im getting super pissed about this i love halo but ended up buying a ps4 when it came out and i got sad i wasent able to play halo 5 so about a week ago i decided to buy an xbox one for halo 5 cause i really wanted to play it but it keeps lagging me out and my ban duration gets longer and longer everytime right now its at 59:46 im seriously getting pissed off and i know my connection is fine cause this dosent happen at all with any of my other games on my ps4 and on steam

Im playing the uncharted 4 multiplayer stress test now. Im not experiencing any internet problems with this game. you tryhard halo players alway insult me and tell me to get better internet to avoid ban hammer. Well I got news for you, there has been no lag, no dropped internet sessions with this uncharted stress test and im running it on the same network as xbox’s halo. Also I might add, there has been no reason for me to stand idle or quit early because evidently Naughty Dogg understands in order to keep players in the game they must make uncharted entertaining instead of banning the idle/quitter players because you made a game that is just that boring at times.
343, At what point are you going to realize that it is your fault in designing a game which causes a great mass of players to rage quit/idle (aggravation/boredom), but your ultimate solution is to ban these people, very smart/ not. you are just looking out for the best interest of the robot player (ones who stand in front of your game 24- 7 without blinking or taking a restroom break)
when I played uncharted 4 stress test, I feel like I never want to quit, and that is how a multiplayer game should feel… and that is why I feel your ban hammer is stupid.
Do these bans stack on top of each other and can these bans be downgraded. For example if i have been banned for 1 hour and i wait out the ban and i get banned again in a few days time, will it be a longer ban or a shorter ban?

It happens very rarely, but on certain days like yesterday, I kept getting disconnected, this is either due to my Internet having problems or the servers having oroblems. Whatever the case may be, I have never disconnected a game myself, even in situations where I am the only person left on my team playing against a full team in arena, it’s not fun at all and my KDA is absolutely slaughtered. How many times can this happen before I get banned? Also, when the system builds a case against you, can it determine between server faults, Internet connection faults and purposeful disconnection?
