Good afternoon 343, The Community.

I wont begin to express my years of love & loyalty to Halo in all its years and so on and so fourth. To put it bluntly I’m a big fan, just another player.

My post is rather simple (and I hope I haven’t scrolled past anyone else who has threaded this also), so I was playing social arena and having a blast catching up with my old halo partner and we started playing the Community Action Sack playlist - this is also after the ‘Monitor’s Bounty’ update kicked in.
So we play one of the new added in games - the golfing one (forgive me in regards to its proper title, it’s a new one to me) and as we’re going I end up ground pounding to what I thought was just the ground in general, which turned out to my surprise being blown to bits. Didn’t know what to make of it, spawned in, carried on - yet spawned took a couple paces forward and again boom. I then realised “Oh crap, they’re mines!” And just after, I’m then kicked and banned for five minutes for commuting suicide too much.

In the British Army we have this term: ‘Just take it on the chin’

so I do, shrug the shoulders and wait it out. We go back into Comm. Action Sack and the game is the Ghost Race one, where you’re in a Temple Ghost and race each other to the finish. And it was great, a cracking idea for imagination because we were having a blast, however, and I’m sure members of the good community can agree, there will be instances where one will ‘go wrong’ and fall off the map, drive into a pit, overestimate a turn, ect.

So that happens to me - and it was the first time playing that game mode too, I went wrong in my own error a couple times…
next thing, kicked and then banned for a half hour for the ‘repeating the offence’ if you will.

My complaint of this isn’t to ask the ban to be lifted - because let’s face it, it’s probably taken the latter just to type this. But my concern is directed in the regards to maybe a possible flaw in mechanics? I just can’t accept that a in a game mode where you’re likely to go wrong so many times that you’ll be punished for it.

Exe Crusader, I’m inclined to agree with you. Social games, especially minigames, shouldn’t be as harsh with the banhammer on inherent aspects of those games. If the Golf game has mines designed to kill you often, you shouldn’t be penalized for touching the mines. Same with Ghost Race. I hope 343i takes a look at these game types and adjusts the banhammer accordingly.

Here to say the same thing. It’s ridiculous to have a gametype that causes deaths by suicides and then penalizes players FOR DYING. Please, 343, take a look at the current action sack playlist and make some adjustments to the banhammer.

I was banned for accidentally getting killed by the mines too many times in battle golf and for “griefing” my teammates. I did not intentionally grief anyone and I certainly did not mean to die. I can’t believe I was banned. I’m extremely discouraged by this.

Hey all.

New to Xbox 1 and Halo 5. I played 2 games last night. First one was not great. But didn’t do anything wrong. Second one I did pretty well! Went to play again just now and I got the “at least one member in your firetram” I’ve been reading through some of these posts.

I dont see a ban timer? I didn’t do anything wrong? Why can’t I play. This is kind of stupid…So, do I just keep checking back hoping I can play?

I recently played a match with three of my buddies on Halo 5 Warzone and when it ended we got our XP and daily win packs like usual, then it said connection lost. I still got my win and stuff but it still said connection lost. Now I can’t play any sort of online game and I didn’t even leave any matches this season I dont think
and i didn’t get any banhammer strikes messages!
Someone know how to fix this?

I was playing a Ghost Race on Action Sack and fell into the pockets of lava a few times. All but two of my teammates were kicked from the match for suffering the hot lava death but I ended up getting banned after.

Both of you, try hard resetting your console (hold power button for like 10 seconds until console turns off). Then try going back into Halo 5, and see if that helps.
If you got banned, you’d know; a very obvious ban message comes up.

i got banned for dying to landmines in the golf action sack playlist.
i died twice, and that triggered my ban. WHY? DONT PUT SOMETHING IN THE GAME IF IM GOING TO GET BANNED FOR ‘SUICIDE’ BECAUSE OF AN IN GAME MECHANISM.

I DIDNT BUY THE HALO 5 CONSOLE TO DEAL WITH THIS -Yoink-.
